I’m sorry Seymour. Somebody invited me over for steamed clams, and tried to serve me hamburgers instead. I should have came over for your roasted ham after all.
It's amazing that Steamed Hams is a meme that has been going for over six years, and there's still so many fresh and interesting takes on it being put out to this day. Laugh and mock Skinner all you want, but the man truly did create an unforgettable luncheon.
After 10 years Principal Skinner has no way of forgetting the unforgettable luncheon and now has PTSD, causing him to cook roast every day to learn how to cook it perfectly so the house would never burn down again because of it.
With how the title is worded, that Chalmers got lost DESPITE, not because of his direction, that meant that Seymour gave good directions this time, but Chalmers got lost anyway.
Really nice edit dude, as it had this different feel which was rly relaxing, no stress with a ruined roast or with superintendent being intimidating lol, just the nice sounds of the street and some isometric exercises
The Steamed Hams skit, but Chalmers is late and Seymour goes out to go check on him, shortly before he gets there, and his mother tries to serve up the lunch thinking he'll get back soon but sadly forgot crucial details about the old family recipe of steamed hams that she passed down to her son, but tries her best to hide this because she wants to support him. Unfortunately the house catches on fire and Seymour gets back and sees it in the kitchen, and the others have to convince him that it's Aurora Borealis in his own kitchen without letting him see it.

@SpicyAvocado not only do you not know what "despite" means, you also don't know the meaning of "subversive".
technically no. the original is Chalmers "making it despite his directions", so the negative of that would be not "making it despite his directions"
At least the house never caught on fire

No it was just the Northern lights.

I guess in this version, the luncheon was actually forgettable, so much so that Chalmers straight up forgot how to get there.
In this version, Seymour actually gave good directions, but Chalmers didn’t feel like coming.
The fact that he didn't invite his mother down to join him is very telling.
Skinner has a dark petty side to his insecurity despite superficial sweet dorkiness. He needs therapy for many reasons
Remember Agnes is a cranky old woman. He might have invited her but she laughed and refused.
Who knows if in this version this is """"Armin T."""" or just the real Seymour Skinner

This is the secret ending that reveals that despite all his critique of Seymour, Chalmers isn't a perfect person and carries major flaws himself.
