Was expecting and hoping for $.28 - $ .29. But in the grand scheme of things it’s not too shabby. I currently own 1900 shares so I will sit back and enjoy what they give me.
Keep in mind, since SCHD is reconstituted annually, the focus should be on its year-over-year annual dividend growth and quarter-over-quarter increases, rather than comparing quarter-to-quarter payouts within the same year. This year’s 12% annual dividend increase is outstanding for an equity offering a starting yield of almost 3.5% and this is line with its historic growth rate!

Annual stock price increase 8.2%. Drip. $1,000,000 starting investment. 7 years. After 7 years the dividend payout tops $156,000. Currently have 13,000 shares, so a long way from $1mm invested, but still…
Don't be seduced by large dividends. Concentrate on total return. There is no sense in collecting large dividends if your overall investment is going down however I’d say SPYI, JEPQ, QQI and IWMI. But do your research. Personally I put down 250k on few ETFs, still diversifying. Earning season is around the corner, It was this time last year I made a huge break through with 200k. Handed it to a firm here in Texas, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. IWM will probably crush it this quarter

Isn't there an additional distributions "December" payment with an ex date of 12/30...payable on 1/3/25? I'm not sure if we will get it but I saw that on the 2024 ETF distribution schedule.
Yeah, but the 12/30 has an asterisk noting "*Denotes when additional distributions may be made, if necessary." Looking at SCHD's dividend distribution history, there hasn't ever been an additional December distribution before. So, we probably can't count on it.
Taking the entire year into account, that equates to about a 12% raise. Not too many jobs give you that kind of yearly boost, especially for doing nothing.
