Jesus Ranch is one of the best songs they've ever written, and it's yet to end up on an album. There were a few songs from the HBO series that were iffy and were rightly left off, but Jesus Ranch? Here's to hoping it ends up on album 3.

Such is the humility of Kyle. He knows that Jack is the front man and has always been happy to accept that. All of the fans know how important Kyle is and if focusing on Jack brought new fans to the D then they too will come to know just how awesome Kyle is.

Just started playing guitar last Monday. My goal is to be as good as Kyle. He’s definitely under appreciated. Tenacious D in general is. A lot of people I talk to haven’t even heard of them

Have you seen their show at the Higher Ground from 9/28/2001? Amazing quality available on UA-cam, just the 2 of them with acoustic guitars at a small club in Vermont. I had no idea that 2 guys playing acoustic guitars could rock the house so fucking hard, brilliant stuff

They are great live, it's to difficult to say which was the best, in my opinion. I love when they'd perform "Flash" into "Wonderboy" and I love when they do "The Who Tommy medley" - with Pinball wizard and a few other songs in it. I also love the "KG Heavy metal power solo" :D Check those out if you haven't.

These guys are hilarious, but they are NOT a joke as musicians. They include some very advanced elements in their performance and it really makes for some great music.

Nah, this is a live performance they did at Kimmel. Both Masterworks sets contain awesome gigs, rare HBO episodes, a documentary and other cool footage that a D fan just needs to own.
