Hey Paul just wanted to say I can not thank you enough for this tutorial. not only has it solved what I thought was going to be a very expensive problem with updating my rig or going on line to use a render farm but it has really given me a new reality of getting my new show reel finished! thank you so much! one question was will this work well on the animation side of renders as well?

Yep, just be careful you do not go too low, you can get noise in materials that is more visible when moving vs a still image, but if you test by running a small part of it and its clean then its good to go

This is reality - use more computers to cut time - otherwise wait 8 days to render all frames on one machine... you can pre calc light solutions and not calc all frames but this does not work if you have moving objects, you could also lower the resolution to something like 240p or 360p - which is non HD but if 1080p or 720p takes to long then lower resolutions means faster run times aside from that what i go over in the video is best way to optimize for fast results

yeah :/ I'm traying to optimize some things like less light cache etc... lets see what I can manage out of this. of course I am not rendering everything at the same time. maybe at 5hours each

I need to render a animation. Vray is very good and get me awesome results but really turned down I get 1m20sec~ render times per frame. I need to make a motion with 25frames per second, for 5min of animation I need a like 100+ hours of render. you recomend something?
