after years of practicing transitions in front of my mirror, specially after I attach a long ass suppressor, I learned to stay away at least 6 feet. broke 5 mirrors already... slow learner I guess 😂. hey, at least I'm not getting hit in the balls with a steel charging handle when I transition to secondary! so that's good.

If possible, please do a traditional 2 point sling, 3 point sling and 1 point sling.
It would be really helpful to everyone out there using different guns in combat.
Thanks for this video tho, very informative

So, I'm a beginning airsoft, and yes, this was a really REALLY helpfull video for me!
My replica is is a full metal L85A2, and (as a perhaps somewhat small guy) I percieve it to be quite a huge and heavy gun, so I figured that I would need to sling it.
I did some messing around with the replica earlier, but it just didn't feel right, and I couldn't get the thing on my back either.
Watching this vid really helped me out with doing it the proper way. Thanks! And, I hope you'll be doing more stuff like this!

a good video for fighting with just your standar equipment. from my experiense in the norwagien army i had the problem with a 2 point sling bacuse we often had a smal backpack on with the sling between the back and the backpack so we could easily trow the backpack of whitout having to take the sling of. but that made it so the best way to cary the weapon was to have it with a one point sling. but note that we had the opportunity to attach the sling to a second point on the weapon to make it a 2 point sling.
with a one point sling it is easier to detacth the sling from the weapon in the midle of a firefight to more easily move around with the weapon.

This is how we carried the AK4 (Swedish version of the H&K G3) back in the early 90's. The only thing I think is missing in the video is when having it on the back, one should train to swing it around against the chest when sitting/kneeling down. Without making a habit out of it, there is a risk of pushing the barrel into the ground; getting debris into it.
Well, just a little bit of nitpicking. Great video :-)

Multiple qd points or attachments for along clips can help. With standard rifle I carry single point on stock with one are through so I can transition easily and sling rifle to my left side while drawing sidearm with my right.
If it's a longer weapon I still carry the same but with my sling(Magpul ms3 with qd on one end)I can unclip the other end from the qd and mount it further up the rifle for long term carry and when potential combat is near I can change back to a combat carry listed at the top. Super comfortable as I too dislike standard neck loaded single point carry.

I guess it's down to personnal preference and gear.
I tried many systems, yet the only one that really allowed me to go all movie-style operator is the one point sling, attached near the pistol grip.
The gun does wave a bit when i'me not holding it, but it's nothing serious, and if I need to fasten it really tight, I have a second snap hook on a bungee cord that I can clamp on the front loop in a second and turn the thing in a tight 2 points sling.
It's also the only setup I found that doesn't get me all tangled after 10 minutes ^^
I also like the old school two points very much, but it does sometimes get tangled in branches, so that depends on how I plan on playing

Except that nobody mounts a single point to the middle or the end 🤷🏼‍♂️ At least argue the facts. I personally use a single/dual point. It mounts above the grip for single. For dual I detach from a point below the main attachment point and connect it to the aft end of the hand guard. This gives me the best of both worlds. 😊

when I use 3rd posistion, I don't feed it back through my arm, I like to keep my sling either a little loose, or on the bottom of the stock so I don't have to feed my arm back through the sling, just makes the transition a little faster, but that's just me (I'm all ears for basic training tips and tricks, because I recently joined NJROTC)

    • @nkanellopoulos00
      @nkanellopoulos00 5 років тому +1

dont sling a gun to yourself when you have a ghillie on... if you noticed, most real life snipers dont wear the ghillie when they are not stalking or tactically approaching or gathering intel.
carry it while in ghillie, when out of ghillie, just sling it over your shoulder. Also, notice how he plays airsoft, the sling is pretty useless in all his videos. thats because you would typically use your sling when walking from your car to the base camp, DZ, QG, wtv you want to call it, and an advanced position on the field, at that point, you are aiming up (this is mostly for how he sets his sling up, since its a carry sling only, unlike a traditional 2 point where you wrap the front portion around your forearm for steadiness when firing)

Alessandro Rampa true but its in different locations from rifle to rifle. Prime example, the rear sling point on an M4 & M16 is on the stock while the AK47 is on the side of the receiver.
