Good work. It takes a lot of effort to restore the front end parts. That’s a job I personally would not want to tackle.

Hiring this out would be cost-prohibitive IMO. Plus it's fun. lol

Great videos! I own a very original '74 L-82 4 speed car that I have been pretty much doing everything you're doing to your car over the last 3 years I have owned it. They certainly need some love after 50 years🤣...Just curious, what ever ended up happening with your head gasket/top end rebuild video segements? I had the same issue with mine and ultimately ended up pulling the motor and bringing it to a machine shop for refreshing. Just curious how you made out with your engine? Thanks!

Hey Joseph. Thank you! Actually I put the motor build on the back burner until now. I decided it was time for much more extensive restoration work so I decided to get everything underneath the car done first. When I am done under the car, the engine is coming out. All I like is two motor mount bolts and out she comes. The motor is coming out pretty soon. This car only has 52k miles but time takes its toll.

@@ImpalamansGarage Nice! Time does take it's toll...My car was only around 35K miles, but every single bushing in the suspension was shot just from age

Nothing is made in Mexico. They only assemble parts from china. Car parts, fentenyl, and other assorted stuff.
I wonder why they didn't make the lower balljoints the same way as the uppers.
    See you later. 😊

You never know what was rolling around in an engineer's mind Werner. LOL..... I ended up buying parts from several different sources, looking for deals and saving money on shipping.

@ImpalamansGarage When the left rear glass in my mercedes broke, I called an autoglass company. They wanted $200 to replace it.
I found a used one on eBay for $50. The shipping was $50.
I installed it myself. It took quite a bit of disassembly to get it in there.
My regulator, which I had replaced about a year earlier, broke shortly after that. The plastic slider broke from the stress of manipulating the glass in.
I propped the glass up with a piece of wood and left it like that.
      Merry Christmas.
