The information in this video is pure gold.
Thank you Mandi.
Thanks Mandi! It was very helpful. I just finished my CCA training and have not had my OJT yet, but I am working tomorrow, Amazon Sunday.... It was great to hear how things went and more information on what to expect. Great video. Thanks again for the encouragement... 🙂
I hope everything is still going well for you! Thank you for your kind comment :)
Doing my first amazon Sunday, this Sunday wish me luck. Really helpful video thanks.
Hi Mandi first of I must say I am enjoying your videos. Sorry about the broken foot and hope all went well with your surgery. Btw you mentioned about the scanner dynamic mode not working for the turn by turn directions. I’m a RCA out of Virginia. I past one year back in November. Try this when you get back to work and see if it works. Look for the scanner with blinking light this in most cases tells you the GPS is working. Btw sorry about the dog bite. I bought my own spray cause the spare they give me expired like 10 years ago and I’m sure the dog would be like is this a joke lol with the expired spray. I also bought a dog whistle not sure if it would help lol. I trained dogs back in my Country so in a few case it came in useful with stern commands. I don’t like spraying dogs but will use it as a last resort. Keep up the good work 👍
I’m a new CCA in Florida. Today was my second day on my own. I need all the help I can get. Lol. Thank you for your videos. I love your personality.
(By the way I’m a licensed esthetician. You look so pretty with or without makeup 😊)
Hey Mandy , I just finished my OJT and its been little bit hectic my whole body is sore but I just have to tell you that I really appreciate your videos they've been really helpful
Thank you 🙏 Mandi , tomorrow my first day on amazon delivery . Video was sooooo informative
I haven’t even gone through academy yet and they have me working amazon Sunday today! 😳
That’s what happened to me last Sunday
I'm an Arc and won't do a route without it being dynamic/static.
Hi! thank you for the tips👍😊
Lizy Laboy thank you so much for checking it out!! 🥰
Did it almost 3 years before I made regular. You explained it well. And the mapping feature never worked for me plus it drained the battery quick sometimes I took an extra battery.
Tomorrow is my first time delivering for Amazon in the middle of my academy days 🥺😂 I’m nervous but excited and reminding myself to take my time
I feel like Amazon should be delivering for USPS instead of the other way around
Mandi, I love your videos, I'm a brand new ARC, and I only work on Amazon Sundays. I had no idea that you can fuel up while they are throwing. I'll try that next time I deliver, I don't know if you are still with the USPS but I appreciate your videos.
I just did my first Amazon Sunday, I liked it more then regular mail delivery. It was easy.
YESSSS - so true. I hope everything is going well for you
It sucked for clerks where I worked. I had every Amazon Sunday 5:00a-?. I usually had the same person out of my office with me and she was a decent worker and we got along. But the clerk supervisor would always schedule 2 more PSE's from other offices, the smaller ones who usually didn't get 40 hours a week. On some Sundays you got a couple good energetic people who did their fair share of parcels regardless of size and weights. But on some Sundays you got these older women who couldn't handle the large parcels and they only wanted to process the spurs. Me, being in good shape although in my mid-50's didn't have the heart to complain about being the person who had to do the heavy lifting and I knew those older women were coming in because it was the only way they got hours, so I didn't say anything although it kicked my ass having to cover for them. One lady was 68 years old and another could hardly stand for the 3 hours just scanning spurs let along throw the heavy parcels. Equal opportunity? Women's rights? Gender neutral fair pay? Yep, I am all for that, but why was I the one doing all the heavy work and why was it just automatically assumed it was my job? I quit, not because of Amazon Sunday, which was the easiest part of the job, but for other reasons. The USPS is disaster.
Worked for usps from 1983-2015, it started out to be a good job but when DPS came along around 1995 my job got much harder. The higher ups who never delivered one piece of mail, said this system would save time. All the carriers hated DPS, instead of spending 3 hours sorting Mail in the office and 4 hours on the street, I spent 2 hours in the office and more often than not more than 6 hours on the street to complete my route. My supervisor immediately started riding me with threats of disciplinary actions. From then on my job got worse every year. The straw that broke the camel's was when they started running the flats through the DPS machines. It was embarrassing to hand a customer only the cover of their magazine. That machine not only sent out 10 to 15 pieces of mail daily that didn't belong on my route, but it rarely pulled the vacation hold mail. So every week after my day off I had to pull that mail out of vacant houses and people who were on vacation hold. I've been retired for 7 and a half years and I still have postal nightmares. Had I known then what I know now, I would've pushed shopping carts from the parking lot at Costco. Try to remember it's only a job and no matter how well you do it, its NEVER good enough!
My first Amazon Sunday is this upcoming one !!!! 😱😱😱
We had a whopping 21 parcels last Amazon Sunday I worked. This Sunday will be my first time to do Amazon Sunday solo.
Seth Cook good luck!! 🍀 Sounds like it should be a pretty easy day for ya 🥰
21 !!!!????? I've processed 21 pallets of Amazon on Sundays. Consider yourself blessed...or maybe you're just crazy.
My scanner gps wasn't working my first day 😂so I just used my phone maps to find all the addresses and I got it all done! Lol. I couldn't walk the next day nor go to my regular job because my legs were so sore and like rubber I could couldn't walk from all the heavy packages and walking SO FAST! Lolol!
Hey i have met nice worker females, two good people more just like my male chris, hello from montrose Colorado USA my chris works for the mail people behind the counter, just like you.😅
Does anyone know how to get off this list of Amazon Sunday? Is it like after a year they won't schedule for it anymore?
The office in next city allows the regular carriers to do Amazon Sunday’s !! Wish I could lol 😂 glad see you back , missed ya !! Hope all is well
SCRATCHING KENTUCKY the regulars are “allowed” buuut mostly it’s just us CCAs 🙃
Mail Mandi Chronicles
Yeah we aren’t allowed at my office!! Sure wish we could
SCRATCHING KENTUCKY we ask them to, but usually they decline 😂 BUT sometimes people help and it’s nice since my area has been so short handed with CCAs
Mail Mandi Chronicles
Well we worked 60% this year with 1 CCA from our normal of 4 , but they would borrow CCA’s from other office to do Amazon , some came as far as 40 miles away . But now our Amazon has dropped off too almost nothing on Sunday, it should pick up during the holiday
SCRATCHING KENTUCKY
Our Amazon Sunday is crazy. We have 4 branches in my city and a limit of 34 CCAs. My office has 63 routes and it’s the largest of the 4. We usually run (guessing) around 25 Amazon routes and they all have around 90 stops. Can’t wait to see what happens for the Holidays 😂
I can’t wait to be regular. How long have you been with USPS?
I did my first OJT on Saturday, I did amazon Sunday the following day with no training . Lol
Hi, I had a question . I applied for the CCA position about a month ago, and got so many emails on Saturday about a background check and drug test and accepting or declining. okay so when I came to the email about my fingerprints, it said to call this number to schedule an appointment, so I did. But the number that it gave me said that if I got that email, to wait for an email from them with more information . did this happen to you ? am I supposed to just wait ? or how would I schedule my fingerprinting appointment ? thanks x :)
did you ever get a response? just emailed the person I was supposed to, hoping they get back to me.
Hi Mandi, I have a question about going out for a hysterectomy. I started as a CCA on 1/6/20 and just found out I have to have one. I’m far from my 90 days and just need a little advice on what you did.
This past Amazon Sunday dynamic delivery wasnt working on our scanners in the gateway region and the turn by turn directions listed the packages all out of order. It was my first sunday and had 9 of those orange carts full of packages. To top that I had an irate (crazy) customer who kept threatening legal terms at me. He was just old guy out of his mind and wanted someone to complain to. Hey there's the mailman who just started let's yell at him. 13 hours later I'm called back to the station along with 6 other carriers. 8am to 930 PM. Good hours
sometimes the scanners freeze. Invest in phone battery chargers
I am a CCA and I don’t have any days off.
Amazon sundays are not easy tbh. Driving distances are longer between stops so it feels like a break from mail sometimes, but not when you have 200+stops..
Mandy! What did the union say about you making that info public? Here, it's HIGHLY frowned upon.
I subscribed to help you reach the one thousand subscribers fast, keep up the good work
just use your phone- i put in 8- 10 addresses and its quick
Is this job worth it? I’m about to move cross country for this CCA job and give up job that I love but isn’t paying good money.
nick I really enjoy this job. I thought I made a mistake at first- it was hard, but then I really loved it. I also love the people I work with 🥰
@@FranticPandaCreation Yeah im still undecided if I am going to take the job, I just want the job because its in a part of the country I want to live in out west. Everything I have read and seen says it basically sucks. Im not scared of work, but not having days off seems like it would get old quick. I will have a dog with me but im starting to think maybe I should see if family can keep him until i figure it out if i follow through
nick Honestly- I enjoy the job for a lot of reasons. There are some downfalls- but no job I’ve ever had has been perfect. The thing to remember is being a CCA is a job to do and work your ass before you become a regular. Then you get 2 days off a week and work 8 hours a day. Before that you have to kind of earn your keep and pick up the slack. Just keep your eyes on the prize
How much do you get paid per hour?
CCA starting pay is $17.29
18.51
I just found your channel today, I happy to hear you quit. I can tell you weren't really happy working for the USPS
Can you give tips on casing mail 🤪
Jojo segoviano haha sure! It’s hard at first, but I can do something 🥰
Just started ARC and i'm having so much trouble with the turn by turn and sheet directions. It's making me want to quit. They said I was too slow on my first day with 75 packages. What can I do? Any advice?
Quit, if you haven't done so already. We went through ARC's faster than most people change their socks and there wasn't a Sunday that at least one the ARC's didn't call off. There were 11 ACR's, at least 2 wouldn't make it in and most of them only worked on Sundays. For the life of me I couldn't understand why they did it in the first place because none of them ever had a chance at getting a full time/career job. I would actually feel sorry for the routing clerk, even though she was a bitch, who had to scamper to find coverage for the ACR's that blew off work at the last minute on Sunday mornings but someone would always come in or the route would get split up. It was a joke. I just punched in at 5a, sorted the stuff, wheeled it around the ACR stations and left at 8a without usually even saying "good bye" to anyone. I didn't care.
@@TheChuck624 we do have to split a route or 2 often but my speed picked up and it has been nice side money for me. I already have a job i love but it's only 4 days a week which is why i took this. Idk if I'll continue doing it next year. Ill see how December goes. The worst part of the job is when your truck breaks down or you have over 100 stops and its so spread apart around town so it take forever :(
You delivered 75 packages and they said you were too slow?? Wow. Today was my first time doing it and I only did 54. Yet they said I did amazing. Scratching my head on that one lol
@@Matt-lp8de it was terrible.. i quit after about 5 months
@@Matt-lp8de I did almost 600 in two days before new years.
Did you ever consider working for FedEx instead of the Post Office? You would not have had to do as much walking with FedEx.....or so it seems to me.
I didn’t understand a thing you said.... you’re so pretty
I’m a little late seeing this video, but why post a video? Keep our problems and grievances in house.
