    I have just purchased and installed an RLC 823 A camera system. This is a high end Reolink camera. The feature I most liked about it was that it has ( Motion Tracking) I am dissapointed that it only detects motion in the direction the camera is set to. I can walk up to the camera from behind without the camera responding. I have the camera covering a 270" field. It only detects in about 90". I have looked at all the options to set this up. Have I missed something?

    Do all Reolink cameras have motion detection? Or is this something only available with purchase of the NVR? I am looking possibly use an SD card for recording, and still get motion detection alerts on a phone.

    I have my 523 mounted in the front in the house and I get every car going pass alerts even though I painted the street from detection alert and I cut down the sensitivity, any advice where i can fix my settings to not get alerts from every car driving pass

    My Reolink system works great! My POE system detects motion, people, and vehicles. It does a great job determining which is which. However, I cannot figure out how to set push notifications only to people and vehicles and not to motion. I get way too many motion notifications (about 50-120 motion notifications per day). I cannot figure out how to only get notifications from people and vehicles and not from motion. This was something you did not cover in your video. Can you please discuss how to just setup people notifications? That would be a great help.

    I have just installed a Reolink POE video doorbell and I have a Reolink NVR, however the recordings seem to depend on having an SD card installed in the camera. Is it possible to have the recordings saved to the NVR and if so how do I set this up? I have three other Reolink security cameras and they all save the recordings to the NVR. Thank you.

    Recently purchase the Argus 3 Pro for my mothers house and am very impressed with the motion detection maybe %2 false alerts if that .. holds it’s own with my hikvision colorVu 4k acusense camera’s for 1/4 of the price!👌

    I have a cellular Go PT plus. Trying to stop false triggers. Under alert setting i don't find were you show how to black out stuff. Dose it not have that feature?

      It's under Display: Go to Device Settings > Display, and you will see Privacy Mask on the bottom part of the screen.

      I thought that was for privacy olny?
      Also I thought I watch you stop false alarms also blacking them out?

    Does the correct temperature above 0°C not allow it to be used in winter at a lower temperature below zero? That is the big disadvantage of this system..

    "Minimum Length of Motion" option.
    I believe this is coming soon. When can we expect it? One of my cameras monitors my bird feeder at night to alert me if there is a rat on the feeder. It is an ancient Ucam247 camera. It has that option which virtually eliminates false alerts from rain & bugs.
    I want to replace it asap with a Reolink but I cannot do that until you have enabled this Length of Motion feature.

      @@kousoulides Things have progressed at a rapid pace since my original comments.
      Smart Detection artificial intelligence has completely resolved the issue.
      Reolink's latest cameras all have Smart Detection.

    Our cameras, all detect motion, but can the software show where on the screen that motion is some software? Does it using a block flashing red around the motion?

    Thanks for your great video. I have installed Reokink rlc 511-wa. I do the sett up as you and many others describe. It is actually self instructed in the app. Easy to follow. BUT I get motion person or car detected and recorded od sd card only one of 10 times.
    Any clue? Anybody? Thanks for any useful tips.

    Excellent explanation of alarm sensitivity, or can be turned on with a single turn on, 24 hour control when you go From home for several days, without resetting alarms for each day. That is to say, it notifies you of alarms 24 hours a day without changing the settings by the hour.

    I'm receiving notifications outside of my detection zone. Why is that happening? I have a 16-channel reolink 12 mega pixel camera system.
    I selected the areas I don't want notifications and I'm still receiving notifications in those zones. Help please 🙏🏻

    I want to monitor a warehouse with a GO plus as there is no network available. Can I use pixel motion detection without the PIR to get more range?

      The GO plus needs to detect the motion using the PIR. The PIR will be also used to detect many kinds of motions. But it is not pixel-based. You can know about PIR here, support.reolink.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004357254-What-is-PIR-Motion-Sensor.

    Oops! We bought it to watch wildlife in our back desert; squirrels, rabbits, quail, birds, and occasional cats. We set our sensitivity to 100% and are hoping that is enough to pick up motion of small animals. When we had it at 80% it wasn't. Is there anything we can do or should we get another camera without PIR?

    Would be nice if this available in a firmware update. I have a mix and match reolink system, tons of false alarms. Also the NVR is horrible to use as a human operated monitor; cannot silence buzzer unless you disable it completely.

      Hi there, you can upgrade your camera with the latest firmware if your camera supports person/vehicle detection. This firmware will help reduce false alerts. You can download it here, reolink.com/download-center/.
      For the NVR, you can also add the NVR to our APP/Client via the UID to control.

    I just check my friends old hivision dvr which has motion detection when triggered the screen pops up full screen on his monitor from 4 camera screen mode for 10 sec then back to normal.
    Does Reolink have similar feature on their new nvr or plans to implement such feature

      @@ReolinkCameras It's just a simple software upgrade that can be easily added on next NVR firmware update, end of day my Reolink is newer NVR model and my friend has the old 4 year old DVR system.

    I have an Argus 3 pro, the camera can detect a person grin 10 to 20 meters easily, I can see the icon on the image but this does not trigger any alarm, only pir triggers alarms which is only less than 10m away… is there a way to trigger alarms without pir ?

      Argus 3 pro will trigger alarms by PIR, and the PIR distance is 10m.
      There will be no trigger alarm if the object is over 10m.

      ​@@Olivierus Upgraded Argus PT is 4MP and supports 5GHz/2.4GHz WiFi, while Argus PT 2K is 4MP and only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi.
      And all Reolink battery-powered cameras' PIR distance is 10m.

      Hi there, it can't be turned off in the APP. But you can try to disable the recording or lower the motion sensitivity. If your camera is a battery camera, you can disable the PIR.

    My realink camera inside house moves on it's own, I think it was hacked!! ?? I had to unplug it, It would stay in the same place for days, then all the sudden it moved so it is looking at me in a total new direction. CREAPY!!!

    Too many false alarms. Sensitivity set to 1 and motion area completely blued out, Reolink 423, its a security camera of no value to me on a commercial broiler farm

    I have the the Pro 3 with vehicle and person detection.. And I have to say this is false advertising because my cameras do not detected vehicle and persons it only tells me that motion is detected. I also found that this camera only detects motion as far away as 6 meters.. This is not a good camera and I would not recommend it to anyone, it’s a waste of money.. I’m not sure how this is called the pro because I get false alerts all day with nothing that triggered the motion alert. Reolink customer service is terrible and not helpful at all.. My solar panel arrived in a crunched box and with a broken seal that says don’t accept this if the seal is broken. One of my cameras seems to be faulty.. I emailed Reolink customer service about 20 times trying to trouble shoot the problem and they tell me to test out the solar panel to see that it works.. They then tell me to send it back at my own expense. I will never buy a Reolink camera ever again..
