    I got this camera a month ago, for $200 with a bunch of extras and the 35mm lens in addition to the kit zoom. (Poorly described) I wouldn’t have paid more, but since the flash and prime lens were worth about what I paid I figured it was worth a punt. It’s a fun little camera, and I’m enjoying it a lot.

    I got back into digital photography with the D3200 ($200 for the body, $90 for the 18-55 kit lens and $150 for a 55-300 lens (AF-S, of course)).
    It still takes awesome photos and it now rides in my camera bag next to my Z camera. Not getting rid of the D3200 any time soon.
    Great video!

    Yep, I have to agree that this is a great little camera. I have used it with 18-55, 55-200 and 120-400 lenses and it’s amazing, a good lens and being close to the subject you get amazing photos. I can’t stress enough that if the subject is out of the lens reach cropping won’t help that much. Supposedly adobe has an option to add pixels to the picture but I’m yet to try it.
    It’s definitely nice and easy to use and well recommend if you want to try photography but don’t want to splash a lot on a “maybe I’ll like photography” scenario.
    I’d you do have money and are sure you’ll like it then I’d suggest something like the d500 or the d850 personally (saving for a d850 atm)

    • @PinkhatPhotography

      I’ve been looking to get a new camera for a while, I have the D3 and D3200 from Nikon. They’re great but I’d like to step my game up as I don’t get a lot of time to go out so when I do I’d like to have something that can take the shot I want in the moment. I also just got a 150-600mm sigma lens and teleconverter for my 3200. I got a great picture of a swan flying and landing on water but it was out of my lens reach (400mm).
      So I’m looking to upgrade to something that can give more cropping power as well as being a camera I can stick with for a few years at least, hence I’m looking towards the d850, would like a z7 2 but I don’t know how I feel about mirrorless yet :P

    • @PinkhatPhotography
      @PinkhatPhotography  2 роки тому +1

      @danielm1dnighthunt3r87 2 роки тому +1

    • @PinkhatPhotography
      @PinkhatPhotography  2 роки тому +1

      Personally I love the auto focus and clarity. It's so much like the old range finder cameras. The R6 and the nikons are about the size of a dslr from what I've seen, the sonys are really the smallest ones. I'd say there is nothing wrong with upgrading to a newer DSLR or a nicer one and holding off on the mirrorless

The low f stop zoom lenses are always pricy, but you could probably find a decent sigma or Tamron on eBay for cheap. I only say low f stop number cause it will help with light in darker areas, if you don't mind a little bit of noise in your photos there is no harm in bringing your iso up and getting a cheaper zoom lens
