There are at least five factors why this photoshoot sooo GOOD.
1. The Man Behind the Gear
2. Decent gear
3. Two lovers
4. Good lighting condition
5. The beach
OMg it's quite a surprise you made a video about D750. It's my work horse camera since 2014-2015 and I have trusted it ever since. I have 4 of these bodies which I collected over the years as "backup" . Each of them has reach over 1 million shutters without sending to repair. I eventually send in for shutter replacement on all of them just because it's at over 1 million photos.
I'm still shooting my D750 and love it. I've been considering an upgrade, until I look at the price of the upper end Nikons. This camera still takes fantastic photos and I didn't skimp on the glass, which makes a huge difference as well.
same, i'm a wedding photographer and i've never felt the need to upgrade, been using two d750 for about 7 years
Same!
I run a Z8 and Z9 now… but I made $177;000 in the four years I had D750s. The Tamron 35mm 1.4, 24-70 and 70-200mm 2.8 was my entire kit.
How did you make that much. Doing what
You’ll make a lot more than that doing weddings (not to down play what he achieved which is great)
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographerI’d love to know how you had the autofocus set up on this shoot
44,000 a year average...Not bad if it's something you're just doing on the side
@@scottwesterman221same for me! What kind of focus were you using ? AF-C and then single focus point or auto ?
One of Nikons best ever. It was like the perfect combination of features, image quality and workable file size. I think Nikon has yet to fill the niche, in mirrorless, that the D750 held in DSLR.
The Nikon Z5 I think has replaced the Nikon D750 photography wise.
My d750 has a shutter count of 889,645 never had a shutter replacement never had a single problem with the camera .
how do you check shutter count?
@@strangerontheinternet8851 insert ur sd card to laptop ,google nikon shutter count, it will ask u to upload last photo taken
@4th_Lensman_of_the_apocalypse My used D750 had a count of 3760, I'm absolutely blessed
@4th_Lensman_of_the_apocalypse yo mb
The colors on my D750 just blow me away even after adding a Z6 II to my kit. I love it.
It’s definitely nice
You've made me fall even more in love with my Nikon D750. Thanks for the video! Brasileira Assistindo!
It’s been a while since I’ve seen DSLR content and I’m not sure but the D750 has a soft sharpness to it that I actually prefer for this like portraits than the clinical razor sharp lenses now with more detailed sensors. It’s a nice quality I didn’t realize probably because most content is mirrorless. Very lovely video Chris and those pictures are well done especially with such a wide lens
I own d750 and it’s razor sharp with proper lenses. Softness of the picture is editing.
@@stanislavrico I own that camera too in his video showing the editing, there's no additional softness in post. It's simple the camera (compared to modern sensors) but more the lens as he used a cheaper 24mm prime. Sharpness isn't everything tho which is what I'm saying that I perfer this over the Sony sharpness. Especially for portraits
thanks for the effort and the sharing. i still use my D750 VERY often. i must say, you make the 24mm look so easy. BIG thumbs up.
I'm a computer science student who occasionally does photography(mostly street photography). I bought a second-hand Nikon D3500 around a year ago and kept doing pictures at least a couple of times a month on my free time, during trips and recently for my sisters pregnancy announcement. I got myself a pair more of lens besides the kit ones I got with the camera and I really enjoy taking those spontaneous pictures on the streets when something captures my attention, I've also had those moments where I have a really nice composition and later on I realize that the high iso(or actually my settings) basically ruined my picture. Now I'm considering getting myself a Nikon D750 and at this point I'm just watching all possible videos about the topic and It's quite exciting to think about the possibilities :)
I still shoot professionally with my D750 and D810, I love them. Eye auto focus would be great, ( I have it on my Fuji ) but for the speed I shoot portraits at in the studio and on location it isn't a problem. Great vid Chris, thanks ...
I cant decide what camera to pick, nikon d750 or nikon d810! Can you help me with that?
I also use one, and have considered moving to mirrorless, since Nikon pretty much is abandoning DLSRs gradually, but I love the camera. I'm not a professional, so I'm not too worried about having the latest equipment out there (I assume professionals have different needs). So, thanks for the video. I'm keeping my D750!
I moved over to Sony two years ago but still kept the D750 as a back up, I still find myself using it loads as its a beast and I just trust it as you cant see a preview like the Sony. Looking at these shots I see why you love sticking to 24mm most of the time.
Had mine since 2017 and still love it. No plans to replace it. The D750 is an all-around fantastic camera.
Nikon D750 is a beast of a camera, even thou now replaced with D780 & Z6II, this was my first Pro-Body back in 2016 with kit 24-120mm f/4 lens, this also quashed many Nikon's flaws in terms of video. Used it, loved it, and replaced it with D810 and then to Sony, but D750 & D850 are the Legends.
Thanks Chris for a very free-flowing, natural shoot, both as video and your shots of the couple, who, as you mentioned, were quite comfortable with a lens staring at them. After many years I am going to jump into full-frame, but somehow EVF reminds me of a smartphone. So yes, I am gunning for my landscape escapades either 750/810/850. I am not very sure about 780 for my branch of photography.
Really love my D750. Such a forgiving camera too.
Great vid man! I made the move over to canon mirror less a while back but I still have a d750 in my kit for R.E stuff. This camera has been to war and back and just won’t die!
I have one D700 camera and two D750's.. still great cameras, love them with 35mm sigma and 85mm tamron
Yesterday brought secondhand Nikon D750 and today just saw your clip. Got great idea from you that how i can use it for professional work. Thanks for sharing valuable knowledge. Good luck for future.
Oh Chris... when I first found your channel, I had the feeling that you were a down to Earth guy! And yep... I love my D750 and it's on the best, and most expensive lens in the house! And yes... I enjoy my Z7ll too ))) Great video!
Thanks mate appreciate that 😊
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographerI’m on a pretty low budget but can afford a used Nikon D800 or a used Sony A6000 with a similar prime lens. Which would you recommend and why ?
I’d prefer the D800 personally
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographerwhich of the cheapest Sony cameras would make you not choose the D800 ?
I switched from the D750 and D810 to the Sony A7R2. It wasn’t without its flaws but that’s the Sony that sold me
This video made me so much more confident about my choice to get a D750. I am upgrading from a D3200 that has my starter DSLR and I wantwd a full frame without the exuberant prices. Thank you for this!
My first camera, still miss that shutter flapping around in the wind.
She’s a bit loud lol
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographerI just downloaded the raw files to look at and edit and they are very impressive! Could you explain how you had the focus system set up as these are all on point, mine not so much.
Also do you shoot kelvin as all the white balance numbers were the same ?
Sorry to be a pain !
Yeah I shoot kelvin. I use AFC single point with back button focus. That’s the key
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographermany thanks Chris I will give this a try ! I don’t have your presets but the raw files are so close to finished as shot. Good stuff I have much to learn.
Thanks again
I use the D750 currently it was my first full frame and let me tell you no regrets what’s so ever this camera is beast.
Chris Turner: ThankYou for the preview on the Nikon D750,,, I luv the Camera myself. It was so nice for you to give it kudos the way you did.!!!
I also like Your Double Camera holster, I am going to follow your example, One with the Nikon D-750 the other with the Nikon D-850... You have quite a style all Your Own, you are one of my Top 10 favorites of UA-cam. Your complete Video was everything I've been looking for, again ThankYou Chris Turner...
I hope to see more of you.! PLEASE keep keep your Double Holster, this should be your Signature look, it fits you like a Glove, I'm copying your look No-Shit,,, again a Great UA-cam Video.!
You are Awesome
BostonMassachusetts/TimeTraveler
Great video Chris! Would love to see you making a similar video with the D810.
Main advantages in mirrorless for me are size, eye AF especially with f1.4 glass and silent shooting with a stacked sensor. Having said all that I would have no problem shooting on my old 1dx or 5Dmkiv . As a Sony shooter the one thing I miss is a top lcd . I wish Sony would add one like the R5 and z8
I will still go out with my D100 and the 35 1.8 to challenge myself. I sold all of my newer gear to get used old tech, like the D810, D5600. I no longer shoot for work, so I can do whatever I want, with whatever I want. Went from mirrorless to DSLR.
7:13 very nice
I still use my trusty D750 to shoot burlesque shows, meaning fast moving subjects in dimly lit bars. It struggles a bit at ISO 6400, but Lightroom's new AI denoise is fantastic.
Great video Chris
Thank you I still have my d750 for my prime camera. I love it even though I never sent it for the recall.
You actually can see the exposure in real time on the d750 you have to turn on exposure preview and you can see the real time exposure in live view only.. I still use the d750 shooting weddings and flip to live get my exposure turn off live and shoot takes a few secs but works
we need more videos like this!! I miss my D750 sold it to get the Nikon D810 I only do still photography. I don't need a fancy video camera.
Not just that but the d750 has such beautiful colours, bags of dynamic range I love that camera.
I just found your video Chris, because i'm going to buy this exact camera, with a 24-120 f4 lens second hand, with around 9200 shots and i'm literally blown away, how it still performs...
I'm switching from a D7200, it'll be my first ever full frame camera, so we will be really good friends, i hope... 😅
Anyway, this video was amazing, you got a new subscriber, greetings from Hungary!! 😊
Thanks mate appreciate it!
100% agree amazing camera and love mine…but how does everyone keep the viewfinder eye cup on the back of their camera’s???
Wish my Sony Had the color and the menu system of the D750
Even having a Z9 and a Z6II, I still love my D750. 🙂
Very nice 👍 love the BTS! Awesome video with the D750 .. have been waiting for it 🤗
First off, great photos! I use the 750 for my high end real estate photography. I shoot in live view and the dynamic range and ease of post make it a stellar camera. When it comes to event photography you can't beat a mirror less camera. By being able to see the exposure and shots in the view finder immediately you can take another shot quick if it does not look good. Question, are those your presets? They look Great!
This is fucking gold
The main improvement in digital cameras over last 10 years have been in video.
For mirrorless photo, a7r3, a7iii, and a9 represent the sweet spots in resolution, balance, and speed.
For DSLR photo, Nikon D850, D750, and Canon 1DX2.
Glad I ran into the vid. But I find it hilarious that I’m getting all the AU creators on my feed haha. Great job mate!

Love my D750 by I really want that autofocus of the mirrorless like the new dIII. I don't' know what to do ugggg.
just beautiful.
I have a D850. I guess it dosent matter what you shoot with when your a pro. How did you get the image to display in the viewfinder?
Great review bro, I am going back into photography after ten yrs out of the game and I am looking to get my hands on the D750 after this video. Nice work.
d780 is even better 👌🏻
You’d expect so being newer haha ❤
Amazing pictures !! thanks for the video
I had the same experience with my D750. I bought it used from a private party. Soon after the shutter started freezing up. I checked and found that there was a recall on it so sent it in to Nikon and they did the whole refurbish in addition to replacing the shutter.
That's how I got mine. Found out it was in the recall, they did shutter & grips. Guy said it had only 5000 shots on it, which isn't much, but why not, it's free. I like it for what I shoot.
Really great video. Nice spot. The presets looks very good. I'm also used the D750 and still own it. Best greetings from Germany
I love this camera 📷 I’ve got this one since 2019 und my lenses are the holy trinity 2.8 Series. I made over 19k pictures with this camera.
still have and use the d750. the main reason i want to move away from it now is how loud the shutter is as i prefer candid photography. image quality is still suberb though
just got a D750+24mm f1.8 as a gift....still learning with this beast hehehehe....i need to take portrait photos from a distance of around 25 - 30 meters. What Nikon lenses are compatible with this D750?
You do good work with the 24mm :) Fantastic Images :)
Can you tell us what were the focus modes you used for your shoot with the D750? Thx
Are you using the 3D focus on the entire shoot?
I love shooting video with my D750, but for some reason when I take photographs they are like I've taken them in the dark - even though all my settings are normal, and the monitor image is perfect, video is fine (identical to what I see through the monitor) but photos come out useless. Any advice ?
I wish the Nikon D750 sooc photos looked exactly like ur video shows. Actually, every camera.
Loved my d750 but just so heavy if out on my feet with it all day, often ended up hardly able to walk after a few days of exploring lol, the 1st edition of 18-300mm that came out was incredible, just awesome for travel and street photography but got fungus, the 2nd edition was absolute rubbish.
when moved back to nz it wouldn't turn on, had to courier it to the only nikon servicer in nz being Christchurch which didn't then covid broke out so I bought a z50 for budget nikon compact point and shoot, since then found during renovations a big dent appeared ... So have assumed it's gotta wait til I get back to China to repair/recondition it affordably
Seeing that you and the subject was moving a lot what autofocus mode were you using?
Awesome stuff mate
Wow awsome pics
Nice work
Great camera, it is my very first full frame and up to this day im still using it. I just wanna ask u if what is the best gimbal to be able to connect that can control the video record button from the gimbal. Thanks in advance.
The location is beautiful
A shoot with the A7IV, for the eye af and the G master lenses. However when using it, my shooting style is a little like shooting with film. I don't really stop to glance at the crappy rear lcd, I shoot and trust in the camera and my process.
Your looking at the photo live before you take it anyway so it’s not really the same. There’s no need to look at the photo afterwards with mirrorless
Please guys I am very very confused I have two options
D750
And Sony A6100
Which one should I buy ?
If you want to do photos ONLY id prob get the D750, but either will be fine
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographer thanks Alot ♥️
Ihave nikon d750 since lunchtime and its amazing
Try nikon z8
how do you get the color of these shots, from in camera or post.?
i bought nikon d750 like 6 months ago. but i coundt take pic like urs
, i use 50mm 1.8 mostly , i m having trouble that color i see ur in pics. also when bush or thin tree leaves looks bad in the pictures when i shoot them
Also use the D750 very often, along the D810. Although the Leica Q3 is taking over a big part.
I cant decide what camera to pick, nikon d750 or nikon d810! Can you help me with that?
@@poetu7334 It depends on your use. I don't use the D810 much for carry; it's to havy and big. I use it in studio setting mostly with good lighting also where it shines. The D750 is smaller and better in low light.
2:49 I LOVE how awkward this shoot starts out!!! 🤣I’d be all over that!
hi im from india. its good to see those pic's. they are really awesome, i own t=same camera but it doesnt cilck like yours. soo, can you share me the settings, controls you use. because its usefull and so on. please provide your camera settings in details as more as possible
Your skill is mad good bro
I was considering to buy a D750,, Maybe I will have it😅
I’m putting together a complete Sony FF wedding kit at the moment, but looking at the used prices of some of these 10 year old Nikon DSLR’s is kinda making my heard bleed. I may have to get one at some point, just for the sake of it.
In my opinion, the D750 along with the D850, 5DmkIII and 5D mkIV are the most perfected DSLRs ever made.
Hello do you use a pol filter at the beach pictures
No I don’t
I have the same camera and my photos are always shite! I know it is me and I'm suspecting I do have the wrong settings on my D750! is there any way you could make a video how to go about the settings ( focus points, white balance etc... ) you use for such a nice beautiful photos photos, I mean just the basic to be able to get this type of result?? Thank you Chris for this video! Is now clear to me that is me and not the camera who is the rubish one!
Hi mate. What’s wrong with your photos. Is it focus or what?
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographer Yes! Mi focus point are not focusing properly! I don't know why! I just downloaded your RAW files and all your photos are just in focus!
@@SirTenoch use AFC and back button focus.
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographer good to know! I'll change the settings straight away! I just bought your presets , lets see how it goes!
Hey Chris, thank you for this amazing video and showing us what we can do with our D750 as I've been struggling to get to grips with it, even when I'm on live view the quality of the picture doesn't 'pop' as I feel it should. I'm using it with a 24-120mm 1.4 so do you have any tips? Nevertheless awesome video and a new subscriber so can't wait for future bangers 🙌🏽
I think part of this is the resolution of the screen. In my opinion when you're shooting the D750, trust the histogram, not the rear screen. I've shot side by side with my brother and his D850 and yes the pictures POP on his rear LCD yet when both files are viewed on a computer the differences are minimal at best.
bro, you make photography effortless.
Haha thanks man
Which AF Mode do you use for this shoot? Single Point and AFC ?
Yeah that’s it
Fantastic images from the D750! Out of curiosity, do you require a permit or have to pay a fee to shoot commercially at these locations?
Nah it’s a public beach
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographer Lucky you - such a hassle shooting in Sydney sometimes.
@@goodthiefphoto oh yeah? I shot a wedding over there not long ago. Didn’t have to go to the beach tho haha
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographer Yeah...most areas are ok. But if you end up in some council-controlled areas, local ranger rocks up and asks for a permit or to move on. Applications aren't too hard but it takes time.
@@goodthiefphotoI e only ever had issues at the rocks
I've also seen some people argue that the D750's sensor had some kind of..."magic" that other Nikons lacked. And this might be entirely unfounded but, I'd tend to agree??? I generally don't like Nikon's color science, and I'm more of a Fuji and Canon guy, but there's just SOMETHING about the D750 that I can't explain. I hate how "Nikony" most pictures taken on a Nikon look, but pictures taken on the D750 have always tended to look different? Every time I found a Nikon photographer's work that I really liked, they ended up using a D750. Yet I still haven't found that "magic" replicated with Nikon's new cameras. I still don't know any photographer that I personally enjoy who's using a Nikon Z camera 🤔
I still use D3s, D810 and even D90
Now I understood why Sony makes awful displays 😂 they are shure on their AF as on DSLR your really need good display to check each time the photo and video)
Yes, i should have sticked to my d700, but instead bought 20+ other cameras. Investing in exceptional lenses would have gave me more…

Just make a Refurbish of my D750, i combine whit a Z6 II. thanks Excellet Video
D750? Snatch up a used d700! That camera was a legend!
If a camera had great features and was renowned for its image quality years ago, it will still do the same in capable hands today.
Much the same as a guy buying a top of the line camera today, but has not mastered its use, will make terrible photos with it.
If that were not the case, then people just learning to paint would be creating stuff better than the great masters, simply by buying much better quality paint brushes…
Umm its a good purchase but the AF is unreliable.
In reality. People are looking for "The film look." And DLSR lenses are the closest thing to imitating that look.
Glass - 2.8 , or lower…. Done
Sorry D700 is the boss
👍👍👍👍👍👍
This video makes me want to propose to my girlfriend of 6 years lol
D750 is a great camera but the D780 is a big step up.
In my experience the Nikon D750 is the worse camera I ever had! The skin tones are a disaster compared with my old Canon 5D mk2.
Also when I take pictures of trees, the green tones of the tree in the Nikon D750 looks almost the same while the Canon has more complex green tones.
The dynamic range and noise on high iso with the Nikon D750 is great, but the white balans and skin tones is a worse. And I also used many different RAW software but its very difficult the get the right skin tones. Never Nikon again for me.
