I don't think that was the point of the film, the achievement of finally surpassing his brother and the tree was stripped from him because both were cut down. In the end he didn't get to beat his brother or the tree but losing both made him realise how much they meant to him. But, he gained an actual relationship and love with his brother instead of the toxic competitiveness they had growing up
Loved it, presented the story so well and surely had a lot work for it. Always gotta give something to make next one better. Sound design. I would have loved it to have more sounds in it but I understand also if doesn't want and it is again a lot of more work!
Helios 44m , rapido fvd-24a and full metal jacket , with the full clamp package on their website . I recommend the full clamp setup but its been a over a year since I built it so there might be better setups for vintage anamorphic .
@@chrisshor3195 which 44m version? 44-2? Or just 44? Which Pro-mist? BTW: Amazing job! It's not just about the motion of pictures, it's all about the storytelling skills! Hats off!
Nice story telling, but man, that was really dizzying, the distortion is too much, and the color, sickening. Maybe sometimes toning it done a bit and more subtlety is better.
This is top notch all around. Killed this piece!!
Cheers mate ! Means a lot coming from you , your videos helped me a lot back when i first started rigging out the bmpcc !
@@chrisshor3195 so rad!
Beautifully executed! Did I catch a little Helios 44-2 action in there?
This made me close this laptop and go hug my brother. Thanks.
Lesson: He got all he wanted. Finnally his brother is incapacitated and he can be the strong one.

I'm going to call all my siblings immediately. This is beautiful.
I was so blown away by the graphics of the closing title that I called my wife in to come and take a look. Really impressive work!
Beautiful film.

Great job! Finally some storytelling. Not just random shots
Nice video dude! Rly liked the edit, framing, and lens/effect choices :D keep it up!
Great work. Loved that you didn't need to feel like you had to have dialogue to tell a great story.

Fantastique

Great work dude!
Damn this fye af
amazing - what was your taking lens? did you have a single focus solution? what clamps would you recomend?

@@chrisshor3195 you shot this with the Helios 44m?
Nice. You use the Proskar projector lens for this? How did you adapt, and get around the 16mm without vignetting?
thanks..
❤
Did you shoot on anamorphic or did the colorist add some radial distortion?
Chris shot this one on a vintage anamorphic lens
Was this all shot on one lens?
Was this shot on a vintage lens? Looks like vintage nikkor or maybe Canon dream lens?
Helios 44m as a taking lens with promist and anamorphic

I liked it. Not all films are for everyone.
Boring and uninteresting.
