I was tickled to see that as the demo in the vid bc a blue Mako II actually *was* my first mechanical watch, bought along with a G-shock 5610U, both for about 220.00 USD. A couple years later, I've prbly spent that much on N@TOs... The "Mecha Armor" Ti mid kit for the G-shock cost more than the actual watch, 😂H well... 🤦🏼🤷🏼💸💸💸 Edit: "Sunday"/sunray
That isn't the original bracelet though. Have to admit mine has been on the original bracelet for less than a week. It's on a Miltat Rollball now. And the dial is breathtakingly beautiful indeed, depending on the lighting it ranges from almost black to vivid red.
There's also the case where the watch is just perfect for you. It become too precious for you to take it out everyday, so you justifies buying another watch as your "beater"

My Casio Duro is doing a good job innoculatung me from the watch hordes, and appears to be working well. I got the model in two colors, and a dozen watch straps. Taking in the permutations, it's a lot of watch, even though the case & movement only numbers two.
My homemade Kamasu (Blue Ray2 modded with a saphire crystal) was my first automatic. Although I now have quite a few others and still thinks of excuses to get another, it still gets way more wrist time than any other.

True. I find cons for almost every watch that i bought. (After all they are mostly under 100 dollars) But the main reason that i want a new one is because i start to get bored so i want a new one . Plus the excitment of going to the shops, choosing, wearing (especially the first days or weeks) 😊
I don’t even have to make excuses, I just want another one because it’s fun… I already have a folder with my favorite Top 100 watches I would love to have. For sure I will probably never have them all, but still, regularly I do update this list by adding new ones I love, and therefore forcing myself to remove the ones I do like the least… by the same time, making my list reflecting better my top choices… which becomes my purchase list once I have the money, one step a the time.
I bought the PRX months ago for an important anniversary and I haven't worn it yet. The 40mm in that application is too big IMO, doesn't look as classy as it's supposed to be! 😫

This happened to me. As a student in a third world country buying a watch worth 90$ is a big thing. Even though its a way out a student’s league i bought it. But suddenly realized there is another one which is too good. Whole day just looking at the other watch. I think this is what causes unhappiness. Always thinking others have it better rather than appreciating what i have. We should strive to be better but appreciate what Allah gave us in the current situation. Alhamdulillah
The worst mistake is to get a nice expensive watch that is well built, in my case a Rolex datejust 2021 straight from the AD. I had my Rolex along with Tissot, longines, oris, Casio and others, immediately i started noticing the difference in the quality of clasp, bracelet, winding feeling and bezel action, everything else felt like a toy and I am now on my 5th Rolex waiting for the sixth one.
I ran with only 1 watch for many years, and then two watches for many more years, and then after i got my first Swiss auto, seems like I jumped to 6 watches overnight. Damn you Nico…

You never leave that place of wanting to buy a new watch. As you get older and your taste becomes more refined, the gaps in between buying watches just get further apart because you know what you want.

I figured out I need mostly a watch on the tenniscourt both for supersticious mental support and just knowing how long you have left before you have to give up the court to the next one or to track some practice exercises.. Seems I am now collecting quartz tissot chrono sportwatches with different strap colors to match my outfit.. How ridiculous is that.. Now I left the t-race watches and wear mostly 2 prs516's which I bought new at a discount 😂 they match everything and I dont have to worry that the movement in an omega seamaster will be scratched while playing with it.. 😵

That bug is easily cured when you have a small wrist and all the divers and chronographs never comes at your preferred size

My Seiko 5 Sports bought it two months ago runs 2 to 3 minutes faster. How to fix it,the watch is new. I won't buy automatic watch anymore.
