It's September 2021 and I'm about to aerate my backyard, put down some lime, starter fertilizer, fescue seeds, and some Milo. Do you think this will help start a lawn back there, or do I need to do something different?
Hi ron, thanks for the question. you will not want to use this when seeding as it will prevent your seeds from sprouting. instead use a herbicide called tenacity as its the only once you can use while seeding. good luck
Should I apply this pre-emergent first, then fertilize then use the herbicide combo in your other video? I'm planning to do these in March (Im in Central Valley CA) How long should I wait to fertilize after pre-emergent application? Thanks in advance. I love all your videos, very informative.

Thanks Tom! Appreciate that😊 Never had any issues with it, but with any battery sprayer.. you want to make sure to never run the pump dry as that can break them real fast

What months are the best for pre and post emergent? I planted my grass over 1month ago with a Scotts turf 3 in 1, so some weed control, but I see small sprouts of weeds coming in.
Will tenacity take care of already existing crab grass? I failed to remember to get my prodiamine out in time and I’m several weeks past my spring window. 🤦🏼♂️

What's the best product to use to kill those now? You have some vids where u say tenacity granules is better than liquid? Any other considerations? Thanks
If you want 100 percent control then yes, but i used it for a few years in my front yard and how i dont have too any more as i dont get weeds up there anymore. Once your lawn is healthy, thick and weed free... you will rarley get weeds
Hi! Thanks for the helpful video. I'm trying to figure out what to use this year. Our lawn is 50,000 sq ft, Southern NH. I think I'm going to order Prodiamine for pre- emergent and was thinking of also getting Tenacity. Should I apply both products at the same time? Also we have A LOT of yellow nutsedge all over the lawn so I think Tenacity would take care of it? Thanks!
Hi Allison! No problem:) Prodiamine will definitely be a must for preventing weeds on such a large property. Nutsedge can be tough to control with out specialty products, tenacity would not be my first choice for nutsedge. I would look into a herbicide called sedgehammer. I would apply prodiamine first, let the rain water it in and then apply sledgehammer once dry, you will have great results:)
Hey neighbor! i wish i could give out my guys info, but i referred so many ppl to him he made me stop lol But i could recommend that you call around and see who has the finest screens avail, no more then 1/2in screen if your rotary mowing and 1/4in if your reel mowing. Some places have a physical location you can go to and check out the material yourself. last thing you have is to order a truck load of sticks and rocks!
Another great video! And - you guessed it - another newbie question. We just bought a house with nice landscaping. A lot of the yard is gravel or cedar mulch. And, you guessed again again, weeds are popping up through the gravel and mulch. Right now, we're battling them with speedzone and tenacity (as per your suggestion), but will prodiamine prevent this problem next season?
@@PrincessCutLawnCare primarily yes. I already applied two days ago because weeds are out of control (just bought in MD), did not water in tenacity and used surfactant. But if I can lay down preemergent that lasts longer I’d like that. I just don’t don’t if that is too much for the good grass to deal with.
George, quick question. You stated 5.2 grams per 1000 ft. Is that 2 gal? Trying to play it safe with asking questions rather than asking why things went wrong. 🙂 Thanks again, love the information. Keep up the great work.
Great content as aways. A related story is I was able to apply a pre- emergent(Prodiamine granular)to my front yard in late winter early spring (February for us here in Kentucky) but was not able to to apply to back yard. My family and I were concerned for the pets. And I got busy and never got to it. Well I'm paying the price now. My front yard is amazing 👏. I do have some spots that I have to spot spay but for the most part a 100% difference from last year. Now my back yard is embarrassing to say the least. Today I made arrangements for my puppy and cats while I blanket sprayed the back yard. I used a mix of tenacity and speed zone, wish me luck. I will not go another season without a pre-emergent. I look forward to following the results of your KBG.
Those two are a KILLER combo, speedzone is by far the best herbicide for leafy weeds and that tenacity will take care of the grassy stuff. Your backyard will be lookin primo in no time! Thanks for sharing!
You know damn well if I could even get these products I’d forget my PPE 🤣, great video George, I’m getting very excited for my lawn care season but I still have lots of snow on the ground....and it snowed last night...again lol 🤷🏼♂️
@@PrincessCutLawnCare I haven’t even tried because I’m always seeding in the spring, primary goal is to get the grass growing well enough to choke out the weeds!
@@PrincessCutLawnCare so I only use tenacity while seeding or to kill grassy weeds during the growing season. Please let me know what I use in the spring to get the lawn started and then in the winter to put it to rest for the season. I'm doing my best but need to know so much before I take this on myself.
@@UA-camuser1aa what are the major type of weeds you are dealing with?
Btw you can apply the prodiamine now as well, you won’t have any issues. If your on the fence just apply a split app now and another in about a month
@@PrincessCutLawnCare clover, dandelion, a little crabgrass, and others I don’t know 😅
Is that your new Sony Cam?
Half of the footage is, where I’m sitting next to my desk in the garage
George, quick question. You stated 5.2 grams per 1000 ft. Is that 2 gal? Trying to play it safe with asking questions rather than asking why things went wrong. 🙂 Thanks again, love the information. Keep up the great work.
George great videos brother. How are you liking the 105 ex? Looking to be my next purchase.
Thanks JP much appreciated bro 😎
I like the 105ex! Only charged the battery twice in the past year and half 👍👍
I will not go another season
without a pre-emergent.
I look forward to following the results of your KBG.
Those two are a KILLER combo, speedzone is by far the best herbicide for leafy weeds and that tenacity will take care of the grassy stuff.
Your backyard will be lookin primo in no time!
Thanks for sharing!
A vapor barrier ?
You know damn well if I could even get these products I’d forget my PPE 🤣, great video George, I’m getting very excited for my lawn care season but I still have lots of snow on the ground....and it snowed last night...again lol 🤷🏼♂️
Oh yea, you guys don’t even have pre em available up there right?
How do you guys prevent weeds?
@@PrincessCutLawnCare I haven’t even tried because I’m always seeding in the spring, primary goal is to get the grass growing well enough to choke out the weeds!
Omg thank you.
You're welcome! thanks for watching!
Great stuff George! Sweet shades haha
Thanks man!
They are my wife’s 😂😂😂
what about tenacity
i would not use as a preemergent, only while seeding or to kill grassy weeds
@@PrincessCutLawnCare so I only use tenacity while seeding or to kill grassy weeds during the growing season. Please let me know what I use in the spring to get the lawn started and then in the winter to put it to rest for the season. I'm doing my best but need to know so much before I take this on myself. Thanks again.
