I've been following you guys for ages and dang it I want one hahaha. Cruising on Freeskates looks like a blast, and it looks really maneuverable once you get to higher levels. It's the cruising aspect that really makes me want to get one. It's Christmas now, wish me luck
It's so much fun and extremely rewarding - so happy to motivate you along the way! Is there any specific way we can help you or a certain type of video you'd like to see more of?
I was hoping to see more carving and reverse pumping. I've got the moving down, not so much slowing and stopping ( unless you count doing a superman in gravel as stopping).
Interestingly enough, I was downtown for the past 3 days for job training, and @ 6:40 you were very close to where I was training because you can see Horton park, and I know Dunkin Donuts is on the other side of it. You then passed the Grant Hotel. Not sure what day or time this was recorded, but I thought that was ironic because I'm finally done with it and home and this vid just got out today. I newly received free skates from JMK recently, and I would have used them downtown, but I still have no idea what I'm doing and would probably die. lol. Oh, and a side note here... I am employed by the security company that also has the contract for MTS (However I'm on a different contract, as I decided to pass on it). In the other video where you were racing to the sunset, the security that checks the trolley tickets happens to be from the same one I work for. You're looking at an almost $200 ticket with court fees. Another bit of irony there. I live in SD, btw. It would be cool to skate with you guys at some point.
@JMK Freeskates. Is it relatively easy to learn if you’ve ridden a ripstik? I at the age of nearly 20 still have loads of fun and wonder if my experience on a ripstik may be transferable to the JMK freeskates with obvious differences in learning but wondering if it’ll be easier as I have the experience on a similar type of thing except they’re not separated. A ripstik is a board but on 2 wheels with a swivel motion type of thing. I’m sure you know what I mean.
It can definitely help. They are still pretty different, but any experience riding a similar ride will help. If you've seen the old school snake boards, they are more similar to the style.
Love this vid, the tips and seeing the city. If I got a pair I'd only be able to use them maybe 4mos out of the year with all the rain & snow in Chicago 😣
Hey, Gabe here 👋 I totally feel you coming from Iowa. I used them at ISU (year-round) for a few years and I found that there’s often a dry patch of concrete somewhere! Just gotta be a bit more intentional about finding a good skate spot, even if it’s a parking garage or something haha
Honestly my guys you are way more impressive than me but honestly you are kinda big babies when it comes to the cracks n stuff I ride through gravel grass uphill like I prefer the worst roads/sidewalks because they are more challenging
Btw dogs don't like freeskates? For them it's unusual or something? I constantly having the situation where dogs really angry at me on freeskates(( I guess for them it's unusual or they didn't see them and they like 'r u a hooman?' )))
Aqui no Brasil nao da pra fazer isso na rua nem muito menos na calçada , primeiro que nem bicicleta dá pra andar pq os buracos nao deixam e se deixar ,vc será roubado
In the next part of this journey we travel 11 miles from downtown to the beach! Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/lGYtvQ0Lyjs/v-deo.html
This is great to show how to deal with different terrain. I like the conversational style.
Glad you enjoyed it Peter, thanks for the feedback! 😁
Living in NYC, I am envying those beautiful, wide, smooth sidewalks! Love these videos, I hope to see more in cities all over the world.
Thanks! We will definitely make more
The Vibes are immaculate

Cruising is definitely my favorite. So smooth and you rarely have to get off the skates.
😆 Only a matter of time then, best of luck this Christmas and Happy Holidays! 🎄
Just found this channel. I’m absolutely loving it. I’m also from San Diego 🙌🏽
Awesome! Thank you! Come out to our Thursday lessons! Air and space museum at Balboa Park 5-7pm
Whooo...the frisson I got when Jack accelerated 11:35

I guess im not confident in the balance. Its hard finding a small downslope here in alaska. So im having trouble getting used to even being on them.
this video is amazing and I want to try it in the future, have a good day
So many questions about riding downtown. This is perfect!
just got my pair in the mail cant wait to try them out soon.
Awesome!!!
Yall have such nice sidewalks!
Sou praticante do freeskate!! Acho uma ótima forma de lazer!!
More videos like this. Would love to see more cruising videos instead of tricks. Also the fish eye is cool with these cruising freeskate shots
You got it!
Awesome!
Thank you!!

Wow, glad we dodged that 😅 That's cool, we may have skated by you at that time. Cruise out to our Balboa park meetups Thursday!

Ayy awesome video, come to Phoenix!! I’ll guide
We hope to travel more soon!
Good stuff, guys. I'm actually looking to try to learn these but I dunno if it can survive New York city streets?
What do you guys think?
Absolutely! There's actually quite a few riders in NYC!
Legit have taken this same route on freeskates and my feet go numb when I get to Ash St!!! AUUGHHHH
Hahahaha ya that spot definitely gets you
What type of camera are you using?
It’s an Insta360 camera! 📸

How do you skate for so long? I cant skate for more than a minute, because my inner thighs feel exhausted I cant even keep my legs together.:((
Keep going 😀 It will get easier.
Time on the skates will solve that, keep it up!
Thank you

Likely the sound of the skates coming scares them 🐶

They should wear wrist guards so they don't break their wrists if they fall.
We’ve both had our share of falls over the last decade, no broken wrists! Thanks for the concern!
Actually some pretty nice streets.
And you (general) Americans don't just walk?
Looks like 2 handicaps making a UA-cam videos because of the selfie stick View,
No Hate but I cant Unsee it HAHAHA
Anyways now I have a new hobby!
