The trick @ 3:49 was BEAUTIFUL ❤️🔥😭👏👏👏🔥
Need tutorials of advanced or different types of pumping
We'll definitely make this!!
@@jmkrideyes plz, my son told me I was too slow while he was on scooter😂
I just got my JMK skates. I ordered them on the spot after somebody at the skatepark had them and let me try. Once it clicks, it clicks. So much fun. Thanks for these videos, these are great to watch. We need more!
So happy to hear you’re loving the skates! We plan on making a lot more of these vids, as well as a few tutorials to help out with pumping / form 👌
Cool bunch 👏
❤ smooth video the guy in the hat is amazing ❤
How do you get pver curbs from a lower point?? (If you can)
For beginners, stepping off the skates briefly is a great way to go! Another option is looking for convenient accessibility points at crosswalks, etc. If you wanna be flashy you can learn to boneless (we have a tutorial for that), but that requires some upfront practice 👍
@@jmkride Cool stuff!! Thanks
I just bought a pair. I’m so stocked to finally try them myself.
Yes! We're always here to help you learn too
I really want one ima get one soon it looks fun to play with and to use ❤
It takes practice at first, just remember to have fun with it and you'll pick it up just fine :)
Alr
Fun :)
Do you have any plans to make nighttime cruising videos where you guys are using light-up LED wheels?
We don’t have light up wheels for our skates yet, but we definitely plan to make some night cruising vids. Cruising downtown among people and city lights 🤔 Would that be of interest?
@@jmkride Yes, I would like to see that since watching you and Jack navigate so smoothly around people and other obstacles inspires me to try to get to your level of confident control.
I freeskate mostly after dark usually under street lights but sometimes where there are no lights, so if you guys start selling LED wheels, I would buy some because I think they look cool and also increase one's safety visibility to cars and walkers.
Thanks so much for your input! Be on the lookout for that vid in the coming weeks :)
I would buy led wheels instantly!
1:15 Oh you guys ran into Barbie? You gotta get her back to Barbieland!
Hey do you have a video on maintenence for these? Like how to change bearings and stuff?
Yes! we have a video on changing wheels and then one for bearings as well 😊
Cool I think its real free style
I've been freeskating for years and recently got into 3d printing and whatnot, do I have your guys' permission to make my own rinky-dink accessories for the JMKs? Love the content btw!
Aqui no Brasil essa modalidade freeskate é pouca conhecida mais estou tentando aprender assistindo os vídeos dos feras
I need to get some Freeskates again, had a cheaper pair a few years ago and want to get back into it.
Never too late!!
I really hope a pair show up in the bargain bin soon. These look super fun.
Probably in 2 weeks
@jmkride that's awesome. I'll probably grab a pair if the wallet allows it
What’s the bargain bin?
@e.t.3565 a spot on the website where they sell products with mild cosmetic damage for a little less that the normal price.
I've discovered freeskates through a Yt Short and it seems pretty interesting! I'm planning in maybe getting one for my self in the near future.
Btw, do you guys have distributors in Brazil?
Brazil is the most difficult place to ship to! We hope to one day have one there
@@jmkride That's a bummer, import taxes can get to 100% of the product's value
Should you use a product to clean the bearings before oiling?
Yes, we recommend acetone! Check out our bearing cleaning video 😊
I loved my freeline skates but I dont know where they went. They were also an older company
We worked for Freeline, but unfortunately they went out of business. So we started JMK to keep it alive ✌️
❤❤❤
Ordered mine in Friday still haven’t come in exited though 🎉
On their way soon!
Can I ask, how do the handle on rough asphalt? Does it just go over cracks & bumps? I’m a rollerblader $ I like the movement of free skates to balance out & stretch my hip flexors on the side better.
It doesn’t feel the best and it’s not preferred, but it’s possible! If the entire route is destroyed/full of cracks, using any kind of skates wouldn’t be ideal. We have a video on terrain for more context 👍
We actually made a longer vid about riding over all types of terrain. Check it out
that one guy got STEEZE tho.
Haha, which one??
@@jmkride The guy with the jacket. Can't wait to try these. just bought mine yesterday.
I was wondering if i would be able to go down a steep rough hill on these. I mean like at least like a 45 degree hill.
Possible, but 45 degrees? That sounds dangerous on any ride 😅
Since there is a left and right skate how do people manage to switch skates with tricks? Do you have to switch back right away go get a good pumping motion or with practice are you able to ride them like that?
Great question! When on the correct skates, you’ll want to have your feet lined up with the decks, since that’s where pumping will be most comfortable. When on the wrong skates, you’ll have to compensate by putting your feet diagonally across the deck. We do have a video explaining this, if you wanna check it out! It’s called “your freeskates are lying to you“ 😆
Good afternoon
Have you tried to put wheels from roller skates on JMK?
Thank you.
Sorry for the automatic translation.
Definitely not. Our wheels are more like longboard wheels
What do you recommend for bearing cleaner
Acetone! check out our video on bearing cleaning for more info :)
Are you guys gonna add more free skates color options to Amazon? Theres only one option available right now. I’m planning on buying a pair really soon but my Mom says I have to buy it from Amazon because they accept returns and your website doesn’t (she thinks they might be too hard for me to learn and that i might have to return them).
Hey! We do not like selling on Amazon. We are there, but offer only one option. We suggest really deciding if they are what you want before buying them. We don't accept used skates back. Be prepared for a similar learning experience to riding a bike. You won't just step on and go. Learning the balance is key.
Do any shops carry these or is it only possible to buy them online? Would love to check them out somewhere. Also how long would it take to learn how to ride them?
Mainly online, unless you're in San Diego or Hawaii! It typically takes 3 days to a week, but it really depends on the work you're willing to put in to learn 👌
more like half a year to properly ride them as a casual. come on guys, its difficult. once u get the hang, tho its fun
Alright, nope, nowhere near there, more like Europe ;). Properly would be great, but I'd settle for being able to ride it without falling off. That said, obviously more than 3 feet at a time would be great, so I'll guess it'd take anything from 3 days to half a year to actually be able to enjoy it without too many starts and stops then ;). Thanks Daniel for the input as well. It always depends on how you define riding, but it would be nice to be able to do more than just starts and stops. I'm sure it wouldn't be the same level as everyone in the clip for obvious reasons, but fluid movement would be great :). Was just curious as I've never seen them around and they do look fun
Like you said it depends on how you define riding. I’ve been on them for a year and a half and the progression never really stops. From just keeping your balance, to controlling where you want to go, to learning to pump to maintain speed, to being able to accelerate and slow down with control, to… you get the idea.
@@Notenoughwheelsthanks for the info. Do you see a lot of these where you are? Never seen them ridden yet. What kinda surface do you need for them to work well on? Smooth or any? For comparison I've tried surfskating and it's super fun, but I think the surface where I live isn't ideal. A lot of the people on yt seem to have a way smoother surface. Now, seeing how much fun it still is I can only imagine how much fun something like this could be if you have the right surface. And too true, you always keep progressing 😁
How would you get over edges on these?
Are you referring to curbs?
Hi i would like to know how i could ship jmk freeskates to South Africa
💯💯💯💥💥💥👍👍👍
World wide shipping?
Yup! Pretty much anywhere in the world from www.jmkride.com 😁
What oil do you recommend for your bearings?
Bones speed cream works wonders! amzn.to/45C2UjM
Sewing machine oil
@@jmkride how often should you oil your bearings?
Have a dog pull you on these and I’ll think about grabbing a pair. I’m trying to learn a skateboard but this may be easier
One of our riders literally posted this on IG yesterday
Does this hobby go by another name? Looking up "freeskates" "free skating" etc always just leads me back to this channel or the braille video from years ago. Like if I look up "tokyo free skating" to see some Japanese skaters, I get ice skating. If I type "tokyo freeskates" I get this channel talking about the trick tokyo. It seems very strange. Is JMK the only known producer of freeskates?
If we're what you find there's a reason 👍
Freeline is something used going back to the name of the first company. Now freeskating is the consensus - unfortunately inline skate companies use the term for some of their skates as well. In any case JMK makes nice freeskates ans promotes them with cool videos, so I am 100% down with them :)
Can I have a pair
They're available here! www.jmkride.com

Aqui no Brasil é muito fraco essa modalidade freeskate
