Did this come with any mix oil or glasses? I just got mine delivered I opened it up and it had neither and the trimmer also didn’t have the paper thing on the gas tank and it had scratches and oil marks on it
Tony I have the Echo PAS 2620 which is the one that takes attachments. I discovered that the brush cutting attachment is the 2:1 gear reduction head. I put a string trimmer head on it and tried it like that to see if the "pro torque" was worth the extra price. For me it sucks! You are right that string needs the speed to cut clean and easy. So I put the blade back on and put my trimmer attachment back on for trimming. I understand that they offer that "pro torque" feature for people that want a lighter piece of equipment that can tackle heavy work, but I think that the standard trimmer does just as well. I have the srm 230, pas 225, and pas 2620. I love my 2620, but I believe the srm 230 with only 1cc more than the 225 is a great trimmer for power to weight ratio. Sadly I don't think the make the 230 anymore. Have to say I have never been shocked by my echo trimmers and I know others have reported it happening, but it hasn't happened to me while sweating under the GA sun or in the rain for the 5 years I've ran echo.
I've preferred Echo trimmers for quite a few years, but over the last 4 or 5 years, they've really stepped up their game. I still love my 410x. I went back to my much lighter 280t for a couple weeks when I when I went through the trouble of making a fat trigger handle fit on the 410 ( the thin trigger finally broke ), but I naturally went back to the 410 before long, even though she's a heavy one 😂 And if you're trimming tall grass and weeds with any trimmer, yes, taking off the guard helps, but you also have to burn up that throttle. Don't halfway trigger it.
Tony, I started with Stihl fs94r. It never wanted to start right. Had it tuned up four times over two years and went to the Echo 2620. The first few weeks or so I thought the echo was kinda heavy and awkward. Now after a few years I like it and I can't even tell any difference in feel from the fs94. My only complaint is tall decorative grass and vines are always getting stuck in the head, where the Stihl never did.
Years ago I had some experience with Maruyama. Running and all that they were great but really tall grass wrapped all around the head also. Stihl doesn’t do that but they have their own issues as well. If it’s cut regularly it wouldn’t happen I don’t think
Liked hearing your thoughts on this trimmer. I thought of picking up one of those up to try 🤔 I recently have been using my old 2460 Red Max and I'm really loving it 😍
@@tonyslawncare no not at all. I know that it takes some time to break in. Cause at first I am like this isn’t better than the 225 then after using it on a couple dozen lawns it was broken in.
Tony- Really good video. I loved your music choice when you were in the tall grass. I also especially enjoyed hearing you trying to convince yourself on the way to your friend's place whether this model was really a keeper based on your experience with your previous trimmers. This came across as being truly sincere. I felt both your exhilaration and your doubt. I am debating replacing my old RedMax BC2300 with either the Echo 2620 (mainly because I'm also considering an Edgit Pro to improve my edging results with the trimmer) or a comparable but lighter RedMax 260 (or 230) or Husq 525 LS/LST (unfortunately, neither brand can accommodate an Edgit). I also have arthritis in both hands that's a bit bothersome at times so lighter and low vibration are desirable. Like you, I'm a solo operator but I only do it part time. I mow/trim no more than 5 properties per day, 2 days each week + my property, which includes some heavy vegetation along 500 ft of creek and wetlands. Based on your vast experience, what would you recommend the 1-2-3 order be for the mentioned gas trimmers? I'm in the Makita 18v ecosystem and do have their 36v trimmer, but find I get through trimming/edging a bit faster with the gas trimmer than with the 3-speed Makita.
Maruyama 5 year commercial warranty & made in Japan… If I had to buy new that’s what I’d get. If I come across old homeowner used like new Pre 2007 shindaiwa’s I buy em quick…
😂 I use the same music (0:44 and 5:56) in my videos! Love your energy at 6:26, we need more of this in lawn care. I love having fun and being crazy when I am trimming and mowing. I personally don't see a need to use gas power trimmers anymore. I haven't had anything that my Ryobi RY40209 15" battery trimmer can't trim down and I have used it on 3' tall overgrown grass. I use 6AH batteries and I carry (6) of them with me throughout the day. I also switched out the head to the Echo speed feed and I use .095 Black Diamond. And I only use it on low power to conserve battery. No issues at all. My opinion anyway. I have tried Husqvarna .095 Titanium Pro, and I instantly felt the line was heavier than the Black Diamond and it drained my batteries much faster. A battery only lasted 25-30 minutes whereas with the Black Diamond a battery will last 45-60 minutes.
I feel the same way l think battery is the only way to go Husqvarna 520 ilk light weight it's hard to go back to gas l have a Husqvarna 522 and Stihl fs91 and 131 about the same weight as the echo
I have both the echo and shindaiwa version of this machine. I prefer the shindaiwa. I think the balance is a touch off on the echo version. I've played around with the handle location but just can't get it right on the echo. Great machines both though
Just heard a lot of rumors at the dealer lately Echo is coming out with another backpack blower that is supposedly gonna replace the 755st? Guess we’ll see

Yes sir, I love that trimmer! Mine is 4 years old, and I use it daily. Enjoy buddy!

I had to start using red armor mix now
After a few years of the cheap oil mix it wasn’t running as good so I up graded mix. All good now
Thanks for that input

I appreciate you bro
Take that stupid guard off man lol I love my 2620. You still using Fuelworx or using the Sure Cans?
Fuelworx for sure and i did stay tuned to next video coming out today🙂👍
I am telling you try the shindaiwa 262t you won’t be disappointed 👍🏼. The 2320t is way better than the 225 I had them both.
Do you have to rev the 2320t high?

That thing's nice! My neighbor's kid has one. I got the 2320 because I'm poor and undeserving. LOL
Hahaha
The best weedeater I have ever had. It has lasted 3 year and I run it about everyday.
Thats awesome to know
Just bought one, Should i run ethonal Free 87 or Premium Unleaded? Using red Armour
I normally just go with the premium

Get the 525LST
I love that trimmer! It’s super heavy but defiantly gets the job done.
Come on Paul, it 12lbs, you work out

Less than a month till EQUIP EXPO!!!
How well do you think the Milwaukee trimmers hold up to commercial use Tony?
I love milwaukee products!!
It’s a good trimmer…very reliable. For power to weight I don’t think you can top the Husqvarna 525LST (not the L or LS)
I want one!!!!!

@@tonyslawncare - Not this year. I’m just getting into the professional side of lawn care. Most likely next year though.
Great video Tony as always!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks boss!
My only real complaint with Echo are their throttle grips, So i typically buy Shindaiwa my last Shindaiwa t262 ive been running for 5 years now.
Thanks for watching buddy
How do you add in charging customers for pulling those weeds when mowing. Do you charge or do it for free?
I just pull as i go i dont charge separate for it they get same monthly price 12 months per year
I'm not an Eco fan, but I am a fan of yours.
I appreciate you sir could i get you on the podcast somtime?
Great trimmer Tony!
Thanks for watching buddy
I’ve had the echo 280 it’s the best one I’ve ever used
Good to know...
Echo trimmers are nice but only one thing I’m not a fan of is the carburetor sticking out like it does but speed feed head is great
I agree bro but i put speed feed on all my trimmers lol

How do you make a battery trimmer last all day?

That echo 2620 t is equal to the shindaiwa t 262 which I have
