I developed a severe skin infection on my chest after a massage. I had a small wound from a skin tag that came off when I rubbed cream on it there. I saw my doctor twice & went to emerge twice. The Dr. at emerge said my CRP was 44 & what I had was weird. Got antibiotics & steroid cream & antihistamine. I got worse & worse, couldn't sleep and was virtually non functional for a month +. I told my wife that I believed I was having an immune response related to Covid, but Dr.s weren't listening to me. She looked it up & found a rash similar to mine. I probed and decided that I was suffering from Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. I went back to fasting, took antioxidants & concentrated on rehabbing my gut which I always work toward. I'm doing so much better now. My conundrum is that a lot of foods I eat that are great for the gut(fermented foods) are high in histamine. I still eat them, but maybe not as much. Do you think taking DAO capsules would help? I may have histamine intolerance at this point although it is not severe IMO.

Hi, thank you for sharing your experience! I can’t give direct medical advice but that is among some of the things I would consider for MCAS. That being said, due to the nature of that particular illness I would work with someone who is familiar with it as many of these things can set you off if you’re not careful with them.

Hey Dr. Robin , thank you very much for your educational videos. I just discovered this channel it is becoming super useful for my daily routines. Can you do a video about acne and the principle cause? I am asking this because I recently started having acne issues and seborrheic dermatitis. ( I have had these problem before, it started when I turned 25 during lockdown period.)
