Even though it’s a bit more work, I liked the black painted letters on hearts. Thank you so much for sharing. I loved the idea of tie with curl ends with black wire:) This is an awesome family project!!!
Thanks for your feedback! The wire curls might be my favorite part 😂 And I agree, the black painted letters are super cute too! I hope you are able to make some soon! ❤️
Use a sharpie inside the letters. You could use a black marker or any colored sharpie. They look awesome. The girl's did a great job with theirs! I bought some air dry clay to make some with. I'm putting them on a white tree for Valentine's Day decorations. With some burlap hearts I'm making. Yours will be a great addition to the tree. It's just 24". I bought it at Walmart on clearance after Christmas. Thanks for a nice tutorial. I like both the light jute and the black wire. Can't pick a fav. It really depends where you're putting them, I think. PS- saw your sponsored ad on FB and came over to check you out. I subbed to your channel.
Thank you so much! They’ll look so cute on your Valentine’s Day tree! I thought about using a sharpie, but the letters are so small I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do it neat enough - but I should just try using one of the fine tip sharpies. Thanks for the suggestion!!! And thank you so much for commenting and subscribing! 😊❤️
Hi there sweetie, l had just come across your channel while channel surfing lol, l have been looking for an easy salt dough recipe for a while now, one that is not only easy but fun also so l can make these gorgous salt dough ornaments with my grandsons, as you have done with your beautiful daughters, proving if a sweet little five year old can make these awesome hearts l to should find them easy for the boys and myself, my grandsons should have loads of fun doing the same, as l have never made the salt dough or any dough for that matter before yet always wanted to give it a try especially as my just turned 11 year old grandson loves his crafting soo soo much, ( takes after his Nanny ) l built him a craft stand and filled it with everything posible a child could need for crafting, stamps, scrapbookpaper, paints, stencils, ect, l had included some bottles of elmors glitter glue for him to make slime, adding instructions to a lamanated piece of cardboard attached to his craft stand so he will always have the recepe on hand, now thanks to your awesom tutorial l can now add what l beleve is the easiest salt dough recepe also laminated and attached the " How to make Salt Dough Ornaments " next to " How to make slime " he will be rapped just as l am, as salt dough ornaments are my all time fav especially the beautiful hearts your gorgeous daughters made so beautifully darl, keep up the good work sweetheart all three of you tallented girls, stay safe, keep well and God Bless from Victoria, Australia xoxo ⚘
Awe thank you so much for your sweet message! This made my day! I hope that you and your grandson have so much fun making things with the salt dough! My girls and I love playing with it at least once a week. Thanks again for the sweet message!
How do you tell that salt dough is dried completely? I made a thicker (a bit more than 1cm thick) one and baked it several times, it is whiten and dried one side but the back side is still yellow/doughy color but it is harden. Is it done or I should bake it more?
I can’t speak for every paint since I only used that one type, but it’s so easy to make the dough that I would just make an extra little piece to test on so that you can practice with the paint.
Those are so cute!
Those are adorable! The black wire and black letters stand out more. But, I really love both ways❤️
Thanks so much for your feedback! I went back and forth for so long about the black letters, and never could really decide lol.
Best recipe I’ve seen so far.
Thanks!!
So cute! I want to make some earrings!

Hello where did you purchase the stamps in the packages…I cannot find them in your description
You can find all of the supplies here: shescraftyandsheknowsit.com/theblog/crafts/diy-salt-dough-hearts/

It definitely sounds like it isn’t dry all the way. I would lay them out to air dry more and put the doughy side facing up.
i am sophiacabral i love your vies so much i a kids
Can we let them air-dry?
Definitely! You might still have to flip them every now and then if the edges start curling up.
@@ShesCraftyandSheKnowsIt Thank you dear , i am starting selling them♥️♥️ as keychain and a car front mirror chain🤍
Can I use any paint to give it color?

Maybe food coloring will help if you want to give it color
I believe you probably messed up the salt and water! Measurements! Salt just so don’t go bad
Wheat flour it is
I just used normal all purpose flour from Walmart.
