Really lovely talk over , your voice is so relaxing . Your right about the hand writing thing , it's so special to see loved ones handwriting, especially after they've gone.
I just love your honesty. Loved the video(s) and am going to make these tonight. I am in France and people here do not craft like they do in the USA. Miss that, but will be following you for inspiration.
Jeri-Ann, Love these ornaments!!! Its sooo true wht you say about making ur own ornaments ...I call them treasured memories ornaments...bc they are...one can pass them on to the next generation... I understand why you get alot of compliments on ur hand writing, get this my handwriting with pens are lousy, But with pencils my handwriting is nice. All my life I have gotten compliments on it but Idk why I'm having trouble with pens.. Anyway, I enjoy watching ur videos ur voice is soothing and that helps lol...ur real and I really like that alot. I'm sorry about your arthritis, it can't be easy so thank you for sharing your creative skills with us.
Also I love your comment about handwritten things. I have two young kids and every Christmas I wrap presents in brown packing paper and use white ink to draw on the paper. I hope my family always remember me doing that when I’m gone. I’ve done it for 6 years now so everyone knows the brown ones came from me 😂
i just made these with my kids a few days ago and i baked them at 200 degrees for 2 1/2 hours... they did dry out but a few cracked. i’ll def try again and just leave them sit out. love everything you do Jeri!!!🥰
I've never seen anyone add cinnamon to that dough before! So cool. I grabbed a big container of ground cloves at dollar tree to use because they only had cinnamon sugar mix & I don't have enough cinnamon at home. Thanks for sharing this, doll!!💗
Yes, hand made, and personal, is very special, and so rare these days. That's so sweet about the love letter from your father. 😊 These are awesome ornaments. 🎄⛄️❄️😃
Hi Jeri-Ann I just had to say you had me cracking up. I wasn't sure whether it was to early or to late or not enough coffee. I love the ornaments. They are absolutely adorable because I love things that have some meaning to them whether it today or years later. Thanks again Jeri and I hope you feel better. God Bless
My Mom did a lot with salt dough for each Holiday. Even St. Patrick's Day and Valentine's Day. She did use acrylic paints. No mod podge. She probably didn't know about that. Thanks for sharing
First video of yours I’m watching! Love your videos, it’s like we are hanging out in your home making crafts, perfect! Thanks for the ideas and recipe for this year’s ornaments!
I just love you! You are so honset, crafty and kind! What a BEAUTIFUL person you are and I told God that I wanted to be your nextdoor neighbor in heaven with my mansion filled with crafty things for us to do all day 😀😁!
I saw another lady do this Jeri. Same ingredients. Now she baked hers for 2-3 hours at 200° . Let them cool. I think she did seal them. Then used paint and glitter. She even put the glitter into the dough. She had hers at a 1/4 inch thick. So a little thinner. Idk... because I'm gonna go back and watch but I think she waited for 36 hours after for them to 'cure' .... so I'm a little confused. But I like this method. No bake. Definitely.
God Bless You for sharing.I would like to say I agree with you about making it your own ✋ writing. It makes it your own and I think my family would remember it as a special gift from me. MeMe
I tried the cinnamon dough ornaments, they make the house smell great! I have osteoarthritis and doctor says movement is great for pain and stiffness. Love your channel hope you have wonderful holiday!
Hi Jeri, I love to watch you knead.... lol. I have Arthy to. I have so.something going on with my palms . But I wanna do these.. . So I'm watching intently. They came out gorgeous! Really really beautiful!
I feel your arthritis pain, the hands are especially dismissed when people think of severe pain but it's real. I look forward to trying this out for both the pain relief and pleasure of doing some xmas crafts with the kiddos. Hope this holiday season finds you and your family in good health and spirits.
Morning . This video has inspired me so much, I know it's September but I am going to start prepping. I've just subscribed to your video. Keep up the great work. From Alex in South Wales United Kingdom xx
These are so nice I'm just not getting to watch Christmas videos I had some personal things going on. I love how you just free handed these simply beautiful I would love to see your cookie cutter collection
salt is a alkali earth mineral and absorbs easily throught the skin.. mineral baths are a great way to get them transdermal means through the skin.. most people are so deficiant in minerals. blood sweat and tears are all salty.. sodium is Na+ magnesium potassium chloride I use himalayan salt
I know this video is from 11/30/2018, but I just watched it. Ornaments might be my summer craft project! I could dig my feelings of Christmas all year-round. I will share with you privately one day. But I love making salt-dough ornaments, usually while I’m eating homemade Christmas cookies and sipping Hot Chocolate! Right?! Hanging onto this video. Thanks!
Love these!! I'm the exact same about leaving something of myself behind!! I'm a brand new crafter and cannot wait to do these!!!. One question....can you use food coloring in dough mix and then use plastic gloves? I was thinking of making a set of trees and wreaths, then decorate with markers. Love and hugs!
I was looking for the recipe for this dough so I could have them ready for my grandchildren to paint and decorate any way they wish... 💖💖💖💖💖 Christmas craft time at Nani's house!!!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖🌲🌲🌲🌲💖
Hi Jeri, I stumbled onto this video. I’m planning to make ornaments as a part of my table setting this year on each plate. Do you paint yours with regular craft paint? Super thorough video. Thanks!
I really need a REAL rolling pin. Funny you shared this I was just Googling no bake dough recipes over the weekend. I agree with others that you have amazing handwriting. Random question: are you an INFP personality type? You remind me so much of my sister
I love watching your videos. You do a lot of things that I do and say especially when I'm trying to explain to or show someone how to do something. I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas. Oh yeah, I subscribed and rang the bell so I won't miss anything. Also I was going to tell you my last name is Henson too.
Can you add food coloring to the dough...I was given a decorative rolling pin and would like to use it for this project? I LOVE this, reminds me of my childhood and making that one “special” ornament for the tree...Thank You!
Hi Jeri, would someone with Gluten intolerance be able to make these out of cornflour, as I don't believe it has any gluten in it. Obviously they are not to be eaten, but I was thinking of the poor souls who cannot even touch things with Gluten in. God bless you for your wonderful commentary and video. You have sparked my interest in all craft type things made of dough. Thank you.
I love the beautiful colors, very rustic, autumn. And so country style ❤
I love your running commentary! You sound like a good friend over for a coffee!!!
