I'm not sure which version I would like better, this one or the one you did 7 years ago. I think the old version was closer to the sound of the original by Meat Loaf, while this one has more of an original, own touch to it.
The old version was the very first video of "The Classic Rock Show" that I ever saw (when I still thought 'you can't cover Meat Loaf'), and I love and follow your performances ever since.

This version is far more note-for-note "album accurate" than the older one. Absolutely fantastic performance to every single member of the band (and filming+editing crew too!)
Such fine musicianship from all the performers. The give and take from the singers is a testimony to their innate respect for each other and the other band members. I could listen to this all day long. Bravo for your dedication to such great art! Thank you!

Another amazing version of Bat from CRS following the 2016 one. Best cover band I have seen. My same comment on the 2016 version stands though. ….it takes two young accomplished vocalists to do what old Meat Loaf was doing alone… RIP

I've seen videos of Meat Loaf doing this live, and while he was great, the band backing him didn't have anywhere near as much energy and passion as this one.

@@Murdo2112 I think the Meatloaf album version is good, but this version is a lot better. To be honest, I think the live versions of Meatloaf I can find on UA-cam etc. are pretty awful, or mediocre at best. The vocals are all over the place.

Both versions are superb in their own right but the band were on fire here and the energy coming from the stage from this version is off the
charts. Nothing wrong in having personal favourites but finding bands with the talent of TCRS in todays world is not an easy task. The current
line up just gets better and better.

I could tell Rudy's voice has changed a lot since the first cover, but being able to hold that note at the end of an already long and difficult song is a true testament to his talents and endurance. Love from Ohio!

I was lucky enough to have been in the audience this night and it was a very special gig if you haven't seen these guys live do it you will never be disappointed musicianship at it finest keeping great music live.
The next tour starts 13 th January at the Sage Gateshead I'll be there ready for yet another great night.

I'm a big Meat Loaf fan. But it was the legendary Jim Steinman who composed the song. And the great Todd Rundgren who produced the album - now, alas, the only one of the three still left standing.
P.S. I think I read somewhere that Bat Out of Hell is the top selling album ever where all the music and lyrics are written by a single person.

@rashedul_tusher Not a bother! Just letting you know. Bat Out Of Hell is my all time favourite album. Absolutely timeless. A lot of involvement from a few of the E-Street band members - Professor Roy Bittan and the Mighty Max Weinberg in recording it. I saw him live as a young teenager in 1990 - absolutely amazing and was pre Bat 2 so was in a really small venue.
I wonder if steinman had any songs written before he passed on. He was the best songwriter for me

Kind of leery upon seeing this as I enjoyed their first video of this song immensly. i was not disappointed. :) Props to James and his awesome band.
Brilliant but i have to say i prefer the the performance you did with vocally 7 years ago with Rudy and i preferred the guitars but still amazing.

My all time favorite! Nothing will ever come close to this song. Band is pretty much spot on. I love that they're playing the riffs and solo's exactly like on the studio track. Often it's just interpretations but these guys have studied hard on the details and the original sound. In that regard it's better than the version of a few years ago. Good singing as well. It's not Meat (because he was a storyteller in the first place) but good effort nevertheless. Thank you!

Great version and performance still maintaining the energy throughout the performance though I feel the version from a few years back had the stronger vocals but only just. It felt like a battle on the voice. Credit to the talent of both sets 👏👏👏👏👏👏

It's interesting comparing this against the one posted seven years ago. This is played slightly faster, but otherwise there's not much in it. The vocalists in the original one seem slightly more in sync with each other, too. I saw the band a few years ago in Shrewsbury, and it was a fantastic concert that got progressively louder as the show went on!

I do miss the Kiwi Girl that you had, But no worries, You should talk to your Management & come over here to New Zealand & Aussie, As we will soon start our summer. (Christmas is our summer) with your sound & the songs, you guys would make a killing, & of course we can give you a couple of sheep (Er,,,,, for the BBQ)

I always thought the standard would be the version from a few years ago ... but this one literally blew me away. Well done! Chapeau for this exceptional performance.

Music was good
Sometimes it takes an awesome band like this to get people to understand what a truly amazing singer Meatloaf was. They use two lead singers to cover Meatloaf's range. (both this version and the earlier version.) Not a slam on this group - they do an amazing job...just hard to meet/beat Meatloaf in his prime.
They dont "need" 2 guys to sing this song. Its not all that demanding. They have a large crew and all share with most songs.
