My wife and I had the absolutely most wonderful experience of seeing The Classic Rock Show in the U.S. this past spring. My wife would have loved to have heard this song performed. Awesome concert! Maybe next time when CRS is in the U.S. We are hopeful that CRS will return soon. Art and Cindy
As someone with a lower singing voice range myself, I always enjoy when Wayne has the lead vocal on a song. He did a great job here. Kudos, Wayne. I also want to give props to Henry for the brilliant keyboard work on the introduction section of the song.
This is what I would call a total band performance. Loved Pete's melodic fills and riffs which whilst not the same were certainly in the style of MK and fully supported James. Overall a first class masterpiece by all the band. One of the best yet
Wayne "The Shirtless" Banks, you never cease to amaze me with the outstanding talent that you have. It doesn't matter what genre is in front of you, you take it on full steam with so much professionalism. You left me spellbound with how you took the lead on vocals and made this song like your own. Proud to call you a mate. Well done my friend. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Outstanding ! Another track I wouldn’t have listed as a favourite particularly, but, again, The Classic Rock Show have breathed new life into it. Superb !
What a performance. Wayne and the band delivered an awesome rendition of a classic from one of the greatest musical story tellers of all time. You have previously done a great job of Telegraph Road but listening to this I think you would also do justice to another fantastic creation of MK which is Sailing to Philadelphia. Always been a huge fan of Dire Straits in all their lineups.
Right from the exquisite intro from Henry "The Keyboard King', Wayne's heart rending vocal telling the story throughout, to the masterful musicianship from all involved, this is absolute perfection! James and his little red guitar kills me every time ❤❤
Wasn't familiar with this song until hearing this and have to honestly say, it's one of the most unique "ballads" I've ever heard...gotta love Mark Knopfler's creative writing talent. Also, a high fives to the sound techs for the recording quality and mix...absolutely top notch!
@@jasonreynolds3795 Thanks for the heads up. I have not heard of them before but they have been added to my favourite bands now. Dire Straits are my all time favourite band along with E.L.O but as a long time lover of live as opposed to canned music my go to bands now for live shows are T.C.R.S and Rumour of Fleetwood Mac who are both world class.
Only Wayne could have sung this authentically i reckon, no offence to the rest of the band but his voice is closest to Knopfler's. An overall perfect group performance from a DS fan since the early 80's.
How wonderful that they started recording the videos again. I'm a huge fan of the guitarist, I don't know his name. I'm a keyboard player and I also enjoy everyone's performances.
не смотря на запреты и ограничения в отношении России от всего остального мира надеюсь увидеть и услышать CRS в турне по России! С любовью и уважением к Вам!
A lovestruck Romeo sings the streets a serenade Laying everybody low with a love song that he made Finds a street light, steps out of the shade Says something like, "You and me babe, how about it?" Juliet says, "Hey it's Romeo, you nearly gave me a heart attack" He's underneath the window She's singing, "Hey la, my boyfriend's back You shouldn't come around here, singing up at people like that Anyway, what you gonna do about it?" Juliet, the dice was loaded from the start And I bet, then you exploded in my heart And I forget, I forget, the movie song When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong? Juliet Come up on different streets They both were streets of shame Both dirty, both mean, yes and the dream was just the same And I dreamed your dream for you, and now your dream is real How can you look at me as if I was just another one of your deals? When you can fall for chains of silver You can fall for chains of gold You can fall for pretty strangers And the promises they hold You promised me everything You promised me thick and thin, yeah Now you just say, "Oh Romeo, yeah You know I used to have a scene with him" Juliet, when we made love, you used to cry You said, "I love you like the stars above, I'll love you 'til I die" There's a place for us, you know the movie song When you gonna realize, it was just that the time was wrong? If you like the song, Indigo Girls have a fabulous cover. Definitely worth a listen.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Wayne!!!!
Est ce que ce Groupe va venir faire des concerts en France ? Ils sont époustouflants !
Top of your game with this one 👍
Excellent cover. The vocals - man the bass player sounded good- & the ending solo - out of this world!
This is just one of my faves 🎉
Job well done.
Nice cover; and most covers of this iconic song are anemic. These guys are the whole enchilada!
Is that a National Resonator, painted red???
Dayum❤
Beyond awesome...possibly even better than the original. A broken heart is forever.
Let’s not go overboard, was great though
Very talented

Brilliant when are you coming to Australia?
The live version intro!
Esta malta sabe do faz. Fantástico.

I definitely agree, the deep tone is almost the same
So good!! 🙌
