Is shut its embassy for a specific reason, Ireland joined South Africa in its legal case against the state of Is. the day before the closure!
This was stated as the reason by those that implemented said closure!
@@tuckersabath2099 and for a bit more context on the Irish position against the state of Is, Ireland's politicians in government are currently preventing a bill from passing. This bill is called "the occupied territories bill" and if passed it will prevent the state of "Is" from selling any goods into Ireland from occupied lands!
The successive Irish governments are doing "Is" a favour!!!
You are also missing the point of what an embassy is, Ireland still has its embassy in "Is", it is "Is's" people that are missing an embassy!

Salute to Great Nation Ireland
In London where I live there is a small cafe right next to a Starbucks. When I go to the cafe in the morning to get my coffee I nearly always see a group of construction workers. There is two English ones that always go to Starbucks and the rest of them (about 5 or 6) always come to the cafe I go to. I didn’t really think anything of it until I was leaving once and heard them talking and realised they were Irish. One of them looked at me and said Free Palestine then looked at Starbucks towards his two colleagues in Starbucks and then said “unlike the genocide supporting pr**** in there” I had to laugh because he gave such a fake smile when he was looking at the other two. I don’t know much about Irish people but they seem like good people to me!
true,
A country gifted through European racism and propels such ideology, now accuses other Europeans. Rod Sterling couldn't have provided a better script.
Badge of honor for Ireland. Very proud of the stance taken by Ireland, the only stance to take, the one of humanity.
Israel is a US landing strip in an oil rich and otherwise hostile region.
Ireland is also a US landing strip to help them destabilise the middle East, they have free use of an airport
I applaud Ireland for standing up to Israel ! We in New Zealand were also colonized and had a race of people almost wiped out. I just wish the far right government presently in power here would close our Embassy & condemn Israel for 100 years of apartheid. Thank you Ireland for standing up to the bullies of the world
@@rodcarlson9505 why only 100 years? Why not three thousand? If you lie, go all the way!
Tadhg is spot on in his explanation of the sentiment in Ireland.
Through our history we understand oppression and injustice. Irish Politicians of every hue are deeply critical of Israels conduct and hopefully legislation which will put sanctions on goods from the occupied territories is next.
Well I am Scottish and must be the same as my Irish relatives so proud of Ireland
I’m Irish and I’m so glad , The Irish Constitution of 1937 specifically gave constitutional protection to Jews so we are not antisemitic just anti genocide
Thank you Ireland for standing with Palestine 🇮🇪 🇵🇸

Calling someone "antisemitic" while commenting Jino Side is gaslighting.
at this point the term 'antisemite' has as much relevance as 'lizard people'
If the ICJ or the UN said it, it would mean something. But the way Israel throws that word around it's actually a badge of honour.
Israel definitely breached the sovereignty of Egypt by taking the Rafa crossing. Israel does not border Egypt at that location.
So it’s Ireland’s fault. 😅😅🤷♂️
St. Patrick chased the snakes out again
Great response! Lucky no one is antisementic right? 😂
41 upvotes shows just how racist Irish people are towards Jews.
We, Irish are not anti semetic. We are against the killing of thousands of Palestinians and the destruction of schools, hospitals and infrastructures. The Palestinians need their own state in order to live peaceful free lives. Best wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪

Ireland is absolutely not antisemitic. I do hope the new US administration can see through this "Israeli spin" . . . . . .
Its not the admistration that needs to see through the spin its the people and the politicions will follow or they get voted out .
I think another reason Israel picks on Ireland as opposed to a bigger nation like Spain is the English-language element. Israel cannot do anything without US support and a lot of Americans are proud to have Irish roots/ancestors. The average American being able to hear Irelands reasons with their own ears, without translation or interpretation, is a problem for Israel.
@@VictorVictory-ht2cp could in part be that indeed
It is not antisemitic to condemn the actions of the government of the state of Israel. Nobody is condemning jews. Stop Israeli murder of civilians.

Spain is also in NATO so it's even stranger they don't get wound up about that
I think they picked Ireland because it isn't in NATO
@@roisinmalone3015 Might be actually.
Ireland was actually blocked from NATO by the UK, unless something has changed.
Spain IS in NATO. Spanish dock workers have been refusing to unload or load Israeli ships, or any cargo from/to Israel.
Clandestine drug distributors have been refusing to do any business with Israeli dealers.
@@rachael_grey Ireland has never attempted to join NATO. Most of the population oppose it and it would require a constitutional referendum to happen, which would definitely fail so no idea where you got your 'blocked by the UK' nonsense. Anti-Semitic card is outdated. It doesn't work any more.
Semites are native peoples of the region of the Middle East where the semitic languages originated, Hebrew and Arabic. The Native people of the land on which Israel stands are Palestinians they are the semitic people. Most modern Israeli people have European ancestry and DNA. Zionism is a European ideology. Therefore you can't be anti semitic if you are pro Palestine. Ireland was one of the 1st countries to add protection for marginalised peoples in its constitution because of what happened in WW2.
so true genes and genetic history dont lie. pity the zios ban genetic testing
one unintended consequence of this nonsense: the terms antisemitic and antisemitism will lose their meaning, and it will then be useless when antisemitism strikes again.
