    "I understand that this world is chaotic and violent and you might be gravitating towards ideologies that promise you that dominating other will help you feel a sense of order and power within that violence. But so long as your self empowerment relies on treating other human beings as objects on dehumanizing other people, on hiearchizing the value of human life, you will never be free of the demons that haunt you." -- Dalia Gebrial
    This is so profound, thank you!

    The first story is the most sickening story I've ever heard. The fact that so many men are willing to go along with this is absolutely terrifying. No one can hear this story and say there isn't something deeply wrong with 'masculinity' and male culture

      What happened to women in Israel on Oct 7 was the most sickening thing I heard. Feminists and the left said nothing, many of them literally could not care less. Well, almost. Much of the left was out on the streets almost the day after. Not to highlight violence against women, but to to campaign against Israel in case they did something about it.

      Agree. But not all men are like that. To this man. Yes means maybe, maybe means no, no means definitely NO

      I don't think so.
      Example: some time ago, a British nurse was found to have killed 7 babies.
      Should we conclude something about human nature from that "fait divers"?
      It would suck that all men would have to pay for the actions of this despicable man.

    French viewer here. This sentencing is the very least that could be done. I'm still disgusted and furious. I'm still having trouble sleeping when I think about the absolute horror this woman lived through and even more so when I think about the fact this insanity is just one of a great many.

      Yes, I remember this being called out by many at the time, not just the Labour Party. They knew exactly what they were doing because if they didn’t want this to happen they could have put in place many stops and balances to ensure it didn’t.

    As someone from Shetland which has pretty nice water (even by Scottish standards) I literally cannot drink the London water it’s disgusting. When I visit is the only time I’ll buy bottled water. They really need to take it out of private ownership.

    • @jujutrini8412
      @jujutrini8412 3 дні тому +1

      Changing ownership of the water company in charge of London’s water supply won’t change the taste of the water. The reason why it tastes offensive to you is because it has to have so many chemicals added to it to make it safe enough to drink. As long as London remains a highly populated area in such a condensed space the water will have to go through this same process, unless they can come up with a better way of doing it. I think ALL water companies should be nationalised by the way. No monopolies should be privatised.

    • @rolandscales9380
      @rolandscales9380 3 дні тому

      I agree totally with your remarks about London tap water. I live on the north-west outskirts of London, and I only drink the tap water if I'm making tea or coffee. It's disgusting, even after filtering. You just wonder how many people have drunk the same glass of water before you.

    The British public may despise the privatised water companies but I have to say the majority will do nothing to change the situation and just suck up the rate rises. I went on the recent clean water march in London and considering there are approximately 70 million people in this country a few tens of thousands (high end count) could be bothered to turn up and protest.

      One of them here. I obviously shift through whatever he says as clickbait and outrage porn and focus only on the parts I find valuable. I never heard him advocate abusing or raping women, not even harassing them. Only that powerful and successful men throughout history has had multiple women as the norm and as long as both parties are okay with that, no harm done. But I'm sure Novara has consulted with their lawyers what they can get away saying without legal consequences

    Come on Dahlia, Johnson got far more push from the media than Starmer is getting. The MSM were obsessed by him and mostly supported him. Kuenssberg and Peston sometimes even appeared to be in thrall, even in love, with him.
