- An afternoon in the woods, setting up my new Covacure hammock and the first burn of Dec Cattys ultralight stove.
I used the Helkin Tex Matilda pack, I've only used it a few times but I love it so far! definitely need to try it out for an overnighter.

Matilda pack and little meths burner look canny. They’re not bad the covacure hammocks are they?! Especially for the price.👌🏻 Dan
I’m enjoying the Matilda, comfortable and seems to be a bottomless pit of a bag!
I’d recommend the meth burner from Des, it’s just the right size to pop in anything really!
I liked it, can’t wait to give it a proper go on an overnighter though. Rob

I’ve been recommended to get an under quilt whatever I go for in the hammock otherwise you end up with a cold bum 😂
@@thegeordiewanderer2954 yeah I have heard but I thought hmmm.... extra weight and room taking up inside the rucksack... sod it I’ll get a roll up foam mat 😂
That is true I’ve thought about doing that, although I may wait that one out till some more clement weather 🤣
I’ve seen plenty on Instagram and UA-cam using sleeping mats in the hammocks so maybe the underquilt is needed for just wintery weather 🤷♂️
