    Built a camp right next to the main vault: no nukes and it's close to the liberator camp on the lower edge of the mountain. Great for recharging Fusion Cores for power armor and I frequently drop off "known" recipes near the vault for new player to find!

      Bethesda should get sued just for that specifically before they get sued for everything else. Their gonna be some dumbass devs on that team for all these issues and inconveniences to be in the game. I mean they weren't even smart enough in the first place to make it single player with a multi-player option in the main menu.

I know the game’s negative rep lives on and with that I’ve seen plenty of negative comments about the update too (generic game still bad quote here). But you’re always such a breath of positivity it’s hard not to crack a smile. If only I played on Xbox, I would have loved to be able to run with you one day. i just found your video by chance, because i was looking up how to get a fixer, and ohh boy what a funny coincidence, because my camp has since closed beta always been at white spring in your 7th camp location, i just love it so much. you occasional have ghouls or other nasties comming through the gate/from the golf course, but thats easy to manage with a handfull of turrets, even level ones do the trick, just dont place them directly on the ground.
    also quick tip, place your camp infront of the house, so the building cyrcle ends at the back of the house, which gives you more room to build infront of it, and naturally makes your camp look bigger.

    I like these locations. way better than my current location (north of Gorge junkyard, south of Wilson Brothers Auto Repair) and east of the Blood Eagles sitting in ambush on the road. All incline so crappy to build. But I get attacks from various NPC enemies coming over the hill to the west, Blood Eagles attacking from the road, other NPCs coming up the road. Sometimes I just hang around the camp to build up passive experience from the few turrets I have while crafting.

  • @mmadd7
    @mmadd7 Рік тому +39

    Camps with pre-existing structures are cool because you can essentially double your camp budget because the structures are already there. Now, that being said, I dislike it because the game won't let you scrap things, like trash and other things. Even if it was only gone while your camp was there, similar to the rocks and trees that temporarily dissappear when building a camp.

      @mmadd7 Рік тому +2

      @@bp42s56 I don't really see how. When in "camp" mode, and you place something down near most trees, bushes, rocks, etc. they disappear. Granted, this is only while your camp is actively there, as soon as you log out or make that camp inactive, all that stuff comes right back. So, why could the same principle be applied to things like trash, dead bodies, so on and so forth? I don't see that doing anything different than what is already done, we're just adding objects to the list of "removable" things. If you have the info, please enlighten me. I don't know much about coding, but if you do I'd love to learn something. Seriously, not trying to be an asshole, I crave knowledge on things that I'm interested in.

      @@mmadd7 no i totally get you. i’ll link you this page that explains it, but also do my best. i’ll also try to format it decently. i might be a bit wordy though.
      precombines are the system fallout games use to keep FPS stable. in summary, all objects are combined into one massive object that your computer renders, rather than keeping track of and rendering each individual polygon on an object.
      this comes with a lot of benefits, but you cannot remove any objects that are attached to the precombines without breaking it. precombines are generated in individual cells on a grid alignment.
      i also play 76, and i’m assuming that certain trees and bushes are additions to the world, and not baked into the precombine. this means they can be individually disabled, but probably have a small impact on your fps.
      dead bodies should probably be removable to my knowledge, but trash and trash piles are almost always part of the precombine. this is why in fallout 4, you should never EVER use mods such as “scrap everything”, as each time you scrap something that is included in the precombine it breaks that cell’s precombine.
      when precombines are broken, they’re impossible to repair without certain mods or developer action. when a precombine is broken in fo4, that save is practically doomed. they break in clusters, so it will slowly break most of them and lead to crashes and unplayably low fps.
      i haven’t even touched on previs data, but these links should explain it
      both of these links should give you more in-depth technical information and explanations :)

    I'm a huge fan of boss fights so my camp is south of Watoga Station, a lot of people build there but I'm just a bit more south east, not much, just across the little ditch stream. It puts me right on top of the Mirelirk king spawn, which Is close enough to the mirelurk queen that my turrets can engage her once she's aggro'd, and it's also right next to the scorchbeast spawn where everyone one nukes next too lol. I have in fact solo'd a mirelurk king, mirelurk queen, and a scorchbeast while accidentally aggro'ing the robots north as the blood edges south wandered into the fight lol. I looove that spot. I'm a humble dude but roleplay-wise my character wakes up at camp, pisses excellence, goes outside to get the mail, beats the shit out of the three scariest monsters in the region to establish his dominance as the apex predator of the area, makes a cup of tea, and relaxes on his roof to catch a bit of sunshine from the daily nuclear strike. Also it's handy bc I almost NEEEVER miss a scorch queen event now, and I can walk home from one if I'm over encumbered for any reason.

    I think Bethesda should have rich resource nodes spawn at random spots around the map every month. Could spawn in completely isolated areas, could also spawn next to fixed resource nodes. By rich resource nodes, I mean nodes that produce more material per tick or produce more than one type. e.g. An caustic mineral pool would make acid and crystals. Irradiate tar pit would produce radioactive material and oil. Gold quartz would make gold and crystals. etc.

    @5:30 Why are you blowing up my spot?!?! 😂 I been at this spot for almost a month now, its almost perfect. Ive got the cutest little lake house. Mine is off to the left a bit. I've got plenty of room to put a water purifier and I have access to put things on part of the pier, I have more space on the ground for building than he does with the way he put this camp down.
    Theres always a scavenger outfront that I've got to listen to talking about "building this place up" even though he's never lifted a finger to help me out but is always expecting some of my moonshine. There's also always random small animals by the little pier, sometimes its a couple of radstag but its usually opossums or squirrels. The scavenger and the animals sometimes randomly die for no reason, I'll hear a yell and a sound of someone dying then I go out there and they're just dead with no enemies anywhere in sight.
    My ally and the scav always fighting the bee swarms can get pretty annoying. I run out of my house thinking it's the ghouls from up the road or the scorched from the farm across the way and its just my turrets, ally and the scav shooting the damn bees again.
    It's only been taken a handful of times. I get so mad when I get on and someone has it, I gotta activate my second camp that I move around the map as needed.
    I always try to find a spot that has a good amount of flattish space and I prefer to be in the forest area for the abundance of wildlife I can hunt for food.

    There's a cute little farm and a Scavenger far East, center, where the Mire ends in the Invisible Wall. You can build there and it's quite reclusive yet feels kinda like camping out in an older Fallout game. If you made "camps" in Fo3 and NV you'll get what I mean. In those games you needed a pre-existing structure to make your own, and I honestly enjoyed that a lot more than building ugly camps in 76.

    I’ve had the base near the Whitespring Resort for a long time now, but I remember trying to build inside but almost everything just appears on the upper roof part, not inside. Have found a way around this or can please provide a video showcasing how it’s done? Thank you 🙏

      You’ll probably need to place down rugs/mats if you’re trying to place items in there.

    The 3rd one the video, i see many players who chose that location. 100+ min. And the 5th mention i see some players who chose that: You, and from my friends list - > Rammstein2070 , and Fatalosrd. ( pc )
    7th camp location: It is not as popular as the 3rd, but I saw at least 50+ players who took advantage of the opportunities provided by the place.
    8th i see that place many time when Nuclear winter is active :D and yeah, not so many people chose that location.
    NICE 9th the best! But sad, i dont have 3 camp slot on the main character :( but I defenetly build up whit my other character.
    The other truly rare, and i truly appreciate it this kinds of videos. After all, I went to any rare, deserted place during my 1200 hours of gaming so far, but over time, there was always someone who set up camp what i camp was :O So again, big thanks!

    We need the ability to have more than 5 camp slots. No idea why BGS won’t allow it since it means more money for them.

    My issue is that I HATE getting attacked when in my Camp. I know this doesn't bother most people, but when I'm at my Camp I'm fixing stuff or building, I don't want effing Mole Rats coming through the door and biting my ankles or whatever. I moved my Camp to a really remote location next to Twin Lakes, still happens. Only suggestion I've seen is to move to Whitesprings Mall area, but that's a bit boring. Any advise massively appreciated :)

    I just feel like if they were going to add the whole camp thing, it should’ve been to populate map locations and clean them up with the opportunity to add on and build your stuff. It should be a better combination of the workshops and camps.
