One area where the GoPro Hero 12 beats both the Ace, Ace Pro and Action 4 is in the tiny details in the videos. Things like the gravel in the roads or the tracks in the snow, wall surfaces. The GoPro always has clearly more detail in all the different surface textures. Werner, how long until your Osmo Pocket 3 video?
I like both the ace pro and the go pro and use them together a lot. I really don't have issues with details by either, as seen in my link. Of course, your type of cycling might be more extreme than mine! Ride on! ua-cam.com/video/ZHUa_24t0PE/v-deo.htmlsi=hDS5LeyaYVG4fAvH
I've noticed an issue with the Insta cameras when used for high-speed activities like mountain biking. They tend to exhibit pixel judder with fast-moving objects, something that becomes increasingly apparent over time. This is likely due to the stabilization technology not being as effective in these scenarios. In comparison, I've found that GoPro cameras do not suffer from this issue, which is a major reason I prefer using them. Additionally, the GoPro subscription service, with its unlimited cloud backup and camera replacement, is an unbeatable offer that no competitors offer.
Could you elaborate on the limitations of the various modes of Ace, especially when it comes to resolution and stabilization? For example, do I get 4K in Free-form? Can I get horizon leveling in pure video or active HDR? Thanks!
Thanks for the video reviews on the Insta360 Ace (non pro version) this cam on sale in my area for $229 new and considering it as upgrade over a very old action cam. Your videos are very helpful thanks for sharing.
@@notmedude Agree 100% with you. GoPro's apps are utter rubbish. Just can't see why that makes than camera itself worse than the others. Apples and oranges type thing. I wouldn't buy one over the other only because of the app ecosystem. To be honest, funky "AI stuff" on an app means people letting something else decide what looks best for their footage, not themselves. The Insta360 is a one trick pony, compared to the GoPro. Only thing it does better is filming in low light. Not even that, against the DJI OA4. What I see is every youtuber milking the Insta360 cow for views and sponsorships (present or future).
@@TheForeigner68 I had sony fdr and GoPro. Now I use DJI and I don't have any plan to switch in the near future. Maybe add some tiny camera or 360 camera for B roll footage but my main action cam remains the DJI Osmo action. I wonder what happened to Sony action cams. So little innovation it's kinda sad because their sensors and color science is among the best for the buck.
Werner In your opinion, what is the best camera for skiing? INSTA360 x3, gopro hero 12, insta 360 ace pro, dji osmo 4 or gopro max. to put on the helmet.
Hi - I'm not a big fan of the helmet mount and I wouldn't use the X3 on the helmet for long - its form factor is not great for the helmet mount. The X3 is great if you mainly shoot with a pole. So choose the Ace Pro or the Action 4 - both are good. The Ace Pro has the flip screen, better low light and more features - but the Action 4 is smaller and has a wider field of view - what could be an advantage when mounted on the helmet
@@MountMediaChannel Many thanks for the reply. In your opinion, the helmet and ski is between the Acepro and the DJI, is the Hero 12 with the field of vision accessory left behind? Does Acepro not have an accessory for a larger field of vision?
No, there is no additional lens for the Ace Pro - yes, the Max Lens 2 for the H12 is nice. My main issue with the H12 is the buggy software @@hjijhgh5987
Hey! Nice video, for real! What about underwater use? Couldn’t find any case for it on Amazon DE. I’m considering Hero 11 for €299 (Ace is costing €269, but I’m afraid to buy it with a single battery and without diving case). What would you recommend?
Danke für den Vergleich! Es war sehr interessant. Ich denke, dass der GP12 bei einigen der integrierten Kreativfunktionen und der Funktion „Horizon Lock“ punkten kann.
Another advantage of removing the lens cover is using filters and anamorphic lenses on the gopro. And Gopro Labs basically beats every other action camera out there. 😆
Ace Pro features make no sense for me. I've returned it, because GoPro has better color profile for grading, no problem with focus and has better mount for activity.
@Cameraflyer; you get around! Being competitive is one thing but tying to force your opinions on everyone is something else. It is clearly an action camera
@@mstuartkendall Don't bother with cameraflyer, he's full of SH&*, he trolls all the Ace Pro channels and says negative things about the Ace Pro, he's a GP fanboy, whom was also booted from an Ace Pro group on FB for bad mouthing the camera. i'll go for Insta 360 Ace!

finally what the GoPro should be comparing to, something of their own level
GoPro is the worse choice since the DJI Osmo action arrival. The software just doesn't hold up against the like of DJI or Insta 360.

Hi I don't see zoom in out option while recording video or taking photo please suggest .thanks
Are you talking about Ace, Ace Pro, or GoPro Hero 12?
being able to multicam rec gopro cameras using the remote is underappreciated imo & major reason I would stay with gopro:)
can u make a video for the ace setting?
Yes because some settings of the ace pro might be different with the ace
Great video! Which one is the best in terms of photography capabilities?

audio should be equal, because of media mod to connect any mic.
Insta360 Ace (non Pro) or DJI Osmo Action 4?
Have you decided, I'm also in dilemma, but insta360 ace low light much better right ?
Bring ace vs action 4 please
Yes this one too please!😂
Yessss

Shortly, no camera is better than others. Same as humans. 🙏👏👏👏🙏
this is best video ever superb thanks bri
Great 👍
👍
снимают одинаково, гопро стоит заметно дешевле!
Ace Pro is not an action camera. It is a vlogging camera only. It is not an entry level camera. Insta360 has already made the One RS and the Go.
This video is about the Ace (not Ace Pro)
@@MountMediaChannel same goes for the Ace.
