Tales is my fave jrpg series ever. They NAIL IT when it comes to character relationships with thier skit system where the cast randomly has conversations where they worry about each other or troll each other as you wander about the game world if you pass something that catches thier eye. My fave thing is they throw you off with classes. Sorcerers can be like Jade(spear using necromancer), healers can be like Sophie(kung fu master), then there's Edna(mage/healer/tank/spirit). Funny you keep bringing up nature. The games have this theme that magic comes from spirits, the great spirits create nature, death of the great spirits=the world will soon perish as all lesser spirits start to die off. In fact if you notice the cast comes out the protag's body in Zestiria's op. Thats cuz in that game the whole cast are nature spirits using the 2 protag's bodies as a shelter so they dont get corrupted into dragons.

Long story short Tales is a fairly long-running JRPG series and most of them are standalone with no connection aside from the sequels ala Xillia and Xillia 2, or in Berseria/Zesteria's case( B is prequel to Z). Alongside the main games referred to as mothership titles, there are also the escort titles which is what the spinoffs are referred to as. Speaking of mothership, there's a new one that will be released in about 3 months called tales of arise
