- Sportsman 850 ride and review, this is my personal unit that I have owned for a few months. I have spent many hours riding the 850, I love the 850 and hopefully my words will help you get more info so you can make a purchase.
2019 stock base model Sportsman 850, I picked this up for 7200 out the door.
Sportsman 850 Ride and Review
I currently own a 2021 sportsman 850 ultimate trail, all I can say is how good it does stock, 10/10
Just bought the 850 premium. Love having the power steering.
Thank you for the video. I am getting an 850 with EPS this weekend. Have to drive 5 hours to pick it up.
Just absolutely none of them in stock in my area.
Great commentary! Good info, confidence and funny too!
Man, just an excellent overall riding and review video! Looking forward to some trail time on my new/used 850!
Nice video ride and review! I just got a used 2020 sportsman 850 premium and love it!!
I was riding my 2017 Kodiak 700 EPS with a friend who had a Sportsman SP 850 after that I had to get one ,I was so mad he said he got it for $ 8500 and I just got my Kodiak and payed $7,700 so I went to a Polaris dealership and got a at the time new 2018 Sportsman XP 1000 and it's better than I was expecting it's AWESOME in every way and I still have the Kodiak that I don't ride anymore.
Holy shit, my name is Dylan too. Love the vid. Picking up an 850 with trail package in about 2 weeks time.
Enjoyed every second, super nice review! Enjoy your machine ;)
Nice review 👍 ordered my 850 January 30th of this year still waiting on it any day now though
Awesome ride and review video! Thanks
I have a 2019 ranger that I am thinking of getting rid of and going back to a quad. Fits on trails better
Brother I got the same wheeler but an 18 model and I too have a UA-cam channel not many subs but I enjoy doing it cause it’s fun and I have too made a review of my 850sp and I got to say this is the best review I believe I e ever seen on ANYTHING LOL IM NOT KIDDING WELL DONE 👍🏼 BRO. And yes it is a very bad ass machine. Again very very damn good review 💯
Just brought one, glad I watched your video thanks.
Enjoy it
Good video bro.
You didn’t finish talking about the 570 comparison. I’m usually riding with the kids so not ripping it as much. More technical than speed where I’m at.
you sold me . enjoyed it .
7,000 wow! Great Deal!
Of course you bought the best four wheeler in the market Polaris I have a 2019 1000 premium love it plus now with it like unbelievable
Just bought a 2020 trail package after I had a brute force, love it
the trail looks good
@@dylanwithdylan I am going for the highlifter 1000 ,I am a begginner do you think i should back off and get something smaller this will be my first atv? Thanks in advance
Nice polaris thanks for sharing
I am really thinking of getting one of these
Nice video and commentary helps me understand the 850
Glad I could help
Nice review. I just got my 850 and can't wait to take it riding next season. What case do you use for your go pro?
Man I love this video so much! Should I get this one for my first atv?
78 hp is what it has. And for those trails and the way you ride...850 is way overkill.
ha I thought that looked like keystone. Its fun out there. I go to the jetboat beach all of the time.
I love this video - I've watched it multiple times. Great work and thanks for this... I have 2 questions.. Please finish the 570 vs 850 thought process as you were interrupted. Second thing is what is your microphone setup here... great audio as you ride.
I’d love you to finish the 850 vs 570 discussion.
Nice video my wife and i ride there too nice place when lake is low
Where is it located
Going to get my 2020 1000 Sportsman tomorrow
That's what happened to me when I was going to get a Sportsman 850 the dealer didn't have one but he had a Sportsman XP 1000 couldn't sell had it for over 6 months I got it for $10,000 and I couldn't Love it anymore.
Thank you nice video I wanted to see what it was like to own one of these I am getting a 2021 desert sand color Polaris sporran 570 tomorrow
Sportman*
If you did it again would you get power steering?
Hi what state and town is that beach at that you are riding on?
I was just curious is this in Kentucky? I rode a place that reminds me of this...
I’m not taking advice from a guy who rides in sandals 22:12 😂😂
Lol I ride In Sandals
78 horsepower and inline twin.
Will you let me know where you purchase it at, they are 10200 here in Mississippi
Nice 👍 Has it been reliable?
Where are you riding? I live in Mass. I would love to ride trails like that. I just bought a 2021 Polaris 850. I paid full price as COVID has made everything expensive.
10:50 I have a 2020 Polaris sportsman 570 and whenever I'm leading my friends when were in the mud I'll admit I like to give it alot of throttle and cover the person rideing behind me in mudd yeah I'll admit it might be time for a new belt
Hi,we have a series of UTV and ATV ,Truck and Jeep aftermarket accessories, now we are looking for some people to evaluate the polaris sportsman handguards , are you interested?
Oook Sandals, it might take a bit more momentum, body English (physical effort), clutch/throttle finesse and skill, but a sport quad or dirt bike would have no issues handling any of this terrain. Sure, the Sportsman is going to handle it like a couch and the sport quad rider is gonna have to work for it; but before 4wd ATVs ever even existed, people were conquering terrain way more technical than this, every weekend.
Where can you find one for $7000 out the door? The difference between invoice and MSRP can't be $3000. Local dealers here in MA won't budge even $1 off MSRP, especially during COVID where everyone is reinvesting their vacation money into recreational use.
I wanted to hear about the 570 vs the 850
So it can tow 1500 lbs, but you can't spin the wheels without damaging the belt? Seems like a pretty bad design.
Saw a video of this and another ATV back to back with a tow rope between them, and they were trying to pull each other.
I guess the Polaris would be in deep shht doing that.
Bought a 2020 trail pack and put 500 miles on it. And i ride really hard. Run a spray of clear flex seal around clutch cover
I just got one
The clutches are very loud is that normal. ?
The old 570 dosnt make a sound
@@PhilStonge I haven't noticed. Just run it hard they like it. I jave over 600miles on mine 2 oil changes and a belt. Remember anything under 25mph run in low
@@PhilStonge I got a Sportsman XP 1000 and everything is the mostly the same and mine made a loud whining noise but it was only at one spot around 3200 rpm and quit after it got broke in and the dealer said it was normal.
What city and state this park is at?
Where is that Atv Park located?
I’d be happy if I can find an base model 850 $9,000 out the door.
Is this belt driven or shaft drive? How hard is it to turn with out power steering. When on trails.
It’s belt driven (CVT) and it’s not hard at all when you are moving in tight corners
I’m looking at the 850. Do you regret not getting EPS?
No, it only really feels like you need if your crawling over rocks. at speed the wheel turns very easy.
Is that 80 hp at the wheels or the crank but damn you got a deal on that.
2024 your looking around 15 grand out the door or close to that
Incredible bargain , I’m looking at 13 grand !!! With a discount and 500 rebate!!
That sounds like a terrible deal I picked mine up fully loaded for 9500 brand new & delivered 😂😂
Location of ride?
Dude that is a sick place your riding at. Where is this at?
Appalachia bay orv park. Looks awesome. To bad I live in Maryland though :(
@@cpgeorge2518 I live in maryland too I was hoping it was closer
Im looking at one as well in canada, base model here i can get one for $8777.00 plus freight and PDI and 13% tax . I would really like to get power steering , for the bump steer, i hear its good if you ever hit something hard with the front , the steering wont kick back , and loose you grip, ( bump steer). for that i would have to go to a sp. Where abouts were you in the video, what lake and state.
Sand Springs, Oklahoma, lake Keystone.
If your holding on properly and standing up than you won’t loose grip
That's a parallel twin not a V front rack is 120lbs back is 200 or so. Not 500 in front. But thanks for the video it was good because I'm looking at a can am 650xt or the Polaris 850 premium.
So what did you end up buying? Or you still looking?
These don't have dual clutch transmissions 😂
Wheres this beach riding at?
I have a 2020
Man. You talk ALOT!
thanks for the review.
JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Hey man I was wandering if this had a winch
You can see in the thumbnail it doesnt
@@appl69 thank you im just blind
@@mmmchuy1 you're welcome also sorry if it came off as rude I didnt mean it that way
Me neither I’m not gonna bring my Polaris 1000 I love mine too can’t buy one now anyways nothing available due to the pandemic no dealers up here at Albany New York have anything to sell
Got a great deal on a 570 just a little West of Albany, love it so far
@@leadhead582 Did you get it at Griffin motorsports I do all my business there where are you riding it I live in East Greenbush
@@pasqualepapaleo662 I actually got it at Moody’s Polaris near Newport
@@leadhead582 Where in Albany Griffin motorsports
Not a v twin- parallel twin.
You should’ve bought the 1000 go big or go home I love my 2019 sportsman premium 1000 powerful machine 850s OK but you would’ve liked the 1000 better believe me
mi 2021 850 h at 2 hrs loose the fly weel. 🤬
JESUS IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE!!!!!
You should’ve bought a 1000
You always drive slow in High? You like buying belts...
not a vtwin its a twin cylinder, side by side twin. both pistons move up and down at the same pace and direction. its why the sportsman has its signature sound. i ride a 2005 700 carb sportsman and everyone knows the sound when im coming! great vid by the way just not a vtwin.
Don't remember the year but Polaris changed the firing order for the Sportsman to make them sound better I seen this on Dirt Trax. I looked it up it was when they started making the 850 on the Dirt Trax ( ATV Review:2012 Sportsman XP 850 HO with eps) they said Polaris was using a 270 degree firing order to make it sound just like a V-Twin. I know I would buy my XP 1000 just for the exhaust sound.
This review made me not want one anymore
All you did was ramble about nothing for 30mins. why don't you actually tell us about the 4 Wheeler maybe go through some of the menus
Talks a lot, rides trails in high burns belt up
