- Riding the 2023 Polaris Sportsman 850 for the FIRST TIME! In this video we head to The Vaughn Farms for Farm Bash with some old riding buddies of mine to put the new Highlifter Sportsman 850 into its first mud holes. just a tip watch the front diff in think stuff like that but a rzr diff does bolt in when it goes
Love my new (first atv) outy1kxmr but ive been lookin hard at the HLs for a few years. Starting to wish they brought these '23s out earlier in the year along with the rest of the lineup and I might have gotten one instead. Love that blue and metalic grey on the 1k. Now that the new has worn off of new sporty bodies, the old body HL just looks clean.
This old body style really is growing on me! Maybe you can trade the ole Outty in for a Sportsman 😉
@@jpstephensyt Way too far in the whole on this purchass. Will be a while before I look at any other machine. Honestly, the Outty1k is necessary since its a 2up machine for those all day Quad Rallys for Wifey and I

I think the Polaris makes a good machine. The sportsman’s are good trail bikes, but when it comes to the mud, I think Can-Am is a little better. I know I may be biased because I have a 23 outlander.
Man I think from the factory these Highlifters def come more equipped, I’d feel a lot more confident on a stock highlifter than a stock XMR going on a ride with buddies who had built bikes.
Does it have front locker?
@@mandytuningno and they don’t need them Polaris use a awd system which is quite a bit different then most atvs. Polaris sense wheel slippage in the diff and they can lock up with limited slip when needed sending power to any wheel it is effective! They actually stay in 2nd even with awd engaged. They used to have some problems but they have refined it over time.

The only thing about the HL I don’t like is that it’s limited to 53 mph. I wish it was at least 65

Dude I just bought me a 23 high lifter to she's a unit man. What all do I need to do to mine before taking it into mud like this? Do I need smoke test and all that or what? Or is it ready to send? What did you do to this one before taking it out in this video?
Awesome man!! Man the only thing I recommend doing just to be safe is putting dielectric grease in the spark plug boots! 🤙🏻

You think its covered good enough when you buy it? I'm not gonna really be doing deep water wheelies and all that I'm just gonna send it in mud holes which you know some of them are pretty deep anyways but I just don't want to send her and destroy her right off the bat

I just didn't know if there was alot to do to get the bike ready I know it comes ready supposedly but I just know how factory ppl just do a half ass job most the time.. but thanks man I really appreciate it tho
