Heck ! What a project ! It must be quite daunting ? Well done to all involved. I used to ride on this through the Adelaide Hills with my family when I was a lad. Fond memories of this old beast 👍
I wish there was still a broad gauge line to the city network from Mt. Barker. Imagine 520 thumping into Adelaide like how they do it in Victoria, I feel like it could really be a big tourism thing.

@@russellharding3371 It’s a very impressive locomotive and it will be great to see it head out of Mount Barker again under her own steam.
520 aka "Shane" is one of my favourite locomotives.
@@pcorf It’s an impressive locomotive. I will definitely be around to film the 520 when it returns to steam in the future.
Great video! Nice images with old steam locomotives! Good work! Thumbs Up

@@ldegmtrainspotter Thank you very much for that Andrew, I can’t wait to see the 520 class in action when the restoration is finished.

It would have been good to experience steam working hard through Mt Lofty and climbing out of Belair on the single track section through the hills.
Thanks for the updates.
@@kingsleypurvis8707 No problem at all 👍
What fuel does #520 burn again? Coal or oil? Double Checking.
@@mikeharazim9272 Hi Mike. The 520 burns coal, it will be a big day when she returns to steam as its been many years since it was last operational.
It use to be oil and coal.
