So important. Thank you for raising awareness of domestic abuse. I am glad the Queen has backed this important issue . Hopefully one day there will be no stigma men and women get the support they need to leave an abusive relationship. This initiative will change lives ❤❤❤
The weirdest thing is feeling sorry for the abuser... whilst they're being abusive towards you. The best thing to do is leave silently and go no contact. If you're experiencing abuse from anyone... please know that you're worthy of basic safety, love, and respect❤
@ Jodie, this feeling happen3d to me too.... the feeling sorry for him and I did this over the course of the 15 yrs my partner abused me physically, and emotionally, and financially too. The effects of this has been ongoing for me and at aged 61 in only August this year, I have only just been diagnosed with PTSD by a Psychatrist. I can vouch that the effects last a lifetime.
Unless you've experienced abuse, you wouldn't understand the impact it has on a person's life. Tou may be able to emphasise but that's all. She is smiling to mask her true feelings, otherwise she'd risk, crying on tv and be unable to get her message across.
There is no shame in admitting domestic violence..especially when men are victims too…because most domestic violence centres on women….and forget about men suffering too. I’m have suffered domestic abuse..at the hands of my ex husband ….but I refuse to be called a victim..because he thinks he’s succeeded and that gives him power over me.
I agree completely, I know of men who are threatened with being kicked out, told everyone would be told they did whatever, it's about just nice people finding themselves in situations that are out of their control
Yes men can experience DV however violence against females is rising. Not forgetting no one has the official number of how many females are no longer here in the name of family honour . Alarming new data has revealed that violence against women and girls in England and Wales has soared by nearly 40% over the past five years, with two million estimated to be affected every year. The increase of 37% has been described as a "national emergency" by senior police officials, and has prompted calls for urgent action.
In 2007 when I was elected Sheriff PFA division Lehigh County Pennsylvania USA, we did not have the resources that we do today.. awareness of Domestic Violence resources and funding those organizations is vitally important.. Ironically, while I was transporting a prisoner when I was sheriff i was shot in the back with multiple bullets, thank God survived and went back to work in Bucks county to continue the war on crime. Violence weather domestic or of any nature needs to end. From early on children need positive reinforcement as a way to be raised. Adults need to learn self control also.
@ Juliet byrdon. Hi Juliet, your comment about having Domestic Abuse centres in Australia for abused women to go too really comforted me as my daughter, two sisters and four nieces, plus a nephew: men can experience domestic abuse too, really comforted me, although as far as im aware none of my close relatives in Sydney and Queensland are experiencing DA now if ever. I read in a womens magazine when I was last in Sydney in January thi year, that the rates of domestic Abuse towards Women are very high sadly. Its the same here in England and probably the rest of the UK too sadly.
For those not aware, I was elected Sheriff PFA division Lehigh County Pennsylvania USA.. End Domestic Violence. It's not terribly easy for women to escape their abuser. The necessity of safe houses that are secret locations is very necessary..To provide the coping skills and the rebuilding of the victims lives .
I honestly can’t only imagine terrifying situation. As a woman l support any morality support any woman or women . Have the strength to leave. Horrible situation. I realise it would be a strength and possibly armed police. Involved. In Australia we have shelters domesticated violence. Yes l totally agree to have more sheltered safe place for women. To feel safe. For women in the u.k. l apologise for the length of this comment. 😮😢(😊😊❤).
Maybe Camilla and Charles should look in a mirror before talking about domestic abuse both of them need to apologise to Diana's family as they both commited this horrible act
Ffs consort is what she is to Charles - HIS SPOUSE. SHE IS HM THE QUEEN. Learn the difference between TITLE AND POSITION. What do you think Catherine will be?
@@Captainperfection well she’s your queen whether you agree or not. It’s how marriage to a male monarch works. It will be the same with William and Catherine. SHE WILL BE WHAT CAMILLA IS NOW 🙄 What makes you think there’s a difference?
Yep I see her as some kinda 2nd rate "queen" too. She is still Camilla Parker Bowles in my view..doing a queen consort's job. Her cause is admirable though and she is committed to the job. So, well done, Camilla. 👏👏
@@Diane327 I just thought exactly the same as you.. God, she's aged! Some people age better, and whether it's 20 or 25 years..they still look good.. Especially for her, with no budget..The honest reply is that she should have aged better..than she has 😂

Ive always liked Cherie Blair , she has always fought for for womens rights, and spoken up for women, and I like how eloquent she is.

Camilla, representing a worthwhile charity 👏
Where’s the link to the documentary?
Women that experienced domestic violence. ( sheltered places. In Australia.). I apologise if some of the previous comment didn’t make sense.

It’s called ‘grooming’
I am no longer a victim but I am now a survivor of domestic violence/abuse.
I am now ‘VERY’ aware of ‘RED FLAGS’
I’m glad Camilla is bringing awareness to this. Due time. Honestly one of the most important things she could be talking about.

I'm sorry, but am I the only one that sees the irony here considering what happened to Diana...? 🙃
Why is she smiling
It's odd. She's always smiling. Even when someone is detailing a harrowing story! Strange
Who?
Cat? Probably wants people to feel comfortable. Nothing sinister. People smile all the time at different things. Don’t worry, she’s no Joker.
Queen don’t make me laugh 😂😂😂

God Cherie has aged
Just what I thought,Yes!
