It must be so hard not to be patronising towards Jyoti. Even I, as a healthcare professional who is viscerally aware of the value that all human beings place on their autonomy and independence, had an immediate urge to want to pick her up because she is so cute. That would obviously be appalling to actually do, but she must be asked ‘Can I just pick you up?’ all the time, as an adult. I’m the smallest adult I’ve met (4’10) so can’t begin to imagine how her life has been. However, I feel truly sorry for Rumeysa. So happy for these amazing women that they got to where they are now (esp. Rumeysa, after a difficult early start in life) and that they were finally able to meet each each other!

I am 7ft, I know all about coming to terms with my height. I just wish the world wouldn't make a big thing about either being short or tall. We are what we are..
It's interesting, as an adult male who is barely over 5ft, I often share the space with our local 7-footer, who is only 16 years old. People are generally very respectful toward him. But whether they realize it or not, they usually speak as though his height is an accomplishment. I have (more-or-less) come to terms with my own height too, but I can't help wondering if some of these same people view mine as a sort of character flaw. 😅
Height does have an impact on our voices. The taller we are, the further the sound travels up our vocal chords, so the more reverberations it has, which gives it a lower pitch, and vice versa; shorter heights, fewer reverberations, higher pitch. There could be inaccuracies in my explanation, if you know better pls lmk!
