I agree only took 8 seconds from the time they came to a stop to get water on the fire. You will never see that in the USA you would be lucky to get water on it in 3 minutes.

In my years of watching fire videos worldwide, one must understand that the US FD needs to handle their bellies on the job while pulling the sack of hose and chuck it aside, straightening it, then strike a pose or kneeling to setup gears (gloves, SCBA, helmet, etc etc etc). Then they begin working on the job provided the engineer engaged the pump prior or else let's wait further, mate! 18 seconds to get water on the fire (let alone 8) will earn them the first-ever grammy & make history! At times, TRUTH is unfortunate (sad).
@@kelvinsoon7690 You forgot to mention that every US Fireman's first job on scene is to grab a six foot wrecking bar, even if it's a grass fire. This clip should be a compulsary training film and, they need to start with the guys at the top. Along with a serious weight loss programme for most of them.

Into the USA it takes minutes because they have fancy fire-engines without high pressure hosereels.
USA water pressure is different to UK. Systems that could be why
UK doesn't have High pressure anything special. That is just a center fed hose on a reel with like 1300 litres of water. If its the bigger hoses it takes longer as you need a hydrant or tanker.

Those Hose reels are 20mm bore... You have bigger garden hoses in the US.
They are not High Pressure, they're used by people who know what they're doing.
Those oversize US Toy Trucks do have hose-reels and they do have on-board water, they just don't bother to use them. Also note... Not a single Wrecking Bar in sight.

They probably put their BA on as soon as the fire engine has come to a halt.
The BA would be on as soon as they left the station. They knew what the fire was and what would be needed at the scene. It's called Training! Not like the US where they need to hold a meeting first, then everyone grabs a wrecking bar before they think about putting the fire out.

What make of truck is that? Noticed the pump kicked in without anyone accessing the back? Is it instant auto after engaging PTO from the cab?
Uk fire pumps dont need priming..The water in the tank is also in the pump, so you hit the PTO to engage the pump
and you have instant pumping and water delivery.
As the UK uses hose reels for car fires and other small fires, these can be deployed and in action in seconds.

That is a water tanker so it stores water rather than relying on a hydrant or ground pump. They are used in rural areas and places where ground pumps lack in quantity. They are increasing in popularity in the UK

Really funny; except that what happened to me! Driving along a country lane it was getting hotter and hotter, turned the heater to cold, opened the window, then suddenly i was surrounded by flames. Thankfully wasn't wearing a safety belt and could get out verry quickly.

@@paulacott7072 UK engines are 5 actually. Driver/engineer, Crew commander or a officer and three in the back. Typically the two on the back closest to the door's are the Attack section or BA team and then the middle helps hose running and things.

Water on the fire in 8 seconds. It's what they're trained to do and they do it well.
That's the difference between UK/EU and USA fire departments. In the US they set up full hoses and attack lines. Over here we jump out, get the rapid attack lines and fire is immediately under attack instead of spreading to other things. Even if response times are slower they are immediately doing what they can.

I watch fire vids all the time and I know this is gonna sound daft and like I'm reading too much in to things as usual, but there's something very eerie about this fire, like, almost supernatural.... just something about the way it burned so bright and vicious it looked and sounded like thermite was burning.... this is a weird one, especially when the door fully closed itself while fully engulfed in the flames.... 🔥🤔
