I keep my filter in until the Filter Life screen shows 0% (pretty much 1 whole year). If the Air Quality reading is under 90%, that has nothing to do with the filter and everything to do with the air around it. The readings are from 2 different sensors. However, I am glad you vacuum the filter itself to get some more life/time out of it!
Ok, thank you for the info. So far I've had mine for about 7 months, the filter life is at 100%. I'm hoping it will last for a year or more. Time will tell.
Filter life is reset manually. The device has no way to identify the physical life of the filter. It is all timed life of the filter based on the level of work that the device is doing. Almost like your car oil filter light, based on mileage. Thanks for sharing the vacuuming experiment though. Air quality did get better after vacuuming
I feel it may have to do with particle size, the large particles should be easier to vacuum off than the small ones. Still, this is something I will try on my filter.
I assume you know by now that you just manually reset the filter life repeatedly by holding that button. But it looks like your experiment worked anyway!
The one month life of a new filter seemed odd, but running it on full versus auto makes sense why it aged. I saw a clip of a guy vacuuming the air quality sensors on the back of the machine as he too was getting lower air quality levels. All in all, that airfilter seems new, I'd check the sensor holes, maybe the high air intake clocked them a bit, and that might be the issue for the odd seeming air quality numbers.
Great job....I just did mimes and same result so you dont have to buy a filter Everytime it reaches 0% Awesome momey saver.
Thanks! I'm glad you have had the same results. It's great being able to save a bit of money!

Ah ok.
Yes, the air quality did get better. I still vacuum it off regularly. I haven’t replaced it yet 😂

How expensive are the filters
At Walmart it looks like 1 filter is $46.47 before tax.
@@AWA_ReviewsAndMoreWHAT????.... Home Depot has It for $69.99 + Tax.
@@frankiegunnz8066 Thanks for sharing. That’s a big price difference, I’ll go to Walmart and skip Home Depot 😂
Damn u left it at full power the whole night?! Why not just put it at auto so that once ur air is clean, it will lower the power
I leave at full power 24/7. The auto is a nice feature.

Mine is showing red. I have done all of that and it's still showing red and 999
@@kimkrakowski3249 Move it to a new room and turn it on. See if that does anything for it
