Have you ever tried to make it scaled weight accurate? At least to simulate the way the real thing moves? Because everyone knows that an RC helicopter can zip around in any direction like a dragonfly because of powerful electric motors. But I kinda like it when it moves realistically enough that you can put it in a movie.
If you weighed it down it would be a hard strain on the electronics and servos and probably only fly for a minute at a time. You can simply adjust the inputs so that it flys more scale and tune the jerkyness out.
SWEET 👍. Wesley they scare me also. This Old Man has 3 small ones and hardly ever fly them. Steve it looks great. Great flying and as always awesome video Lori. Love you guys. ✈️😀💝
Head speed seems a bit high with blade fluttering at hover. my AH64 im running 950RPM on the head. i dont know too much about that motor but lower kv is beast for a 4 blade a 500kv running governed should give you a max of 1200 rpm. any thing bigger on that 4 blade you got watch it when you pump that pitch. you can hear it on your blades in hover and slow flight. 950 will give you good tail authority and 1100 to 1150 on windy days. been building these things for years. Know all the ins and outs of robans. Nice tail its one of the best things do do for the Apache and the cheapest mod i think. Made mine from a md500 shaft and century tail rotors.
Since I am just learning Robans, multi blade systems and FBL's etc. I may be running a bit higher head speed to start out. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be sagging the rpm's on a 22.5# bird and pancake it in. This video was flight number 3 for me and each time I fly it I get more comfortable. I am at the point of experimenting more with different settings, one of which will be head speed. I figured 1200 would be low but 950??? Wow! You gat any video of your flying?
@@rcjetdude1487 i do on my phone but i dont upload to UA-cam...yet..been toying with the idea of doing unboxing and build videos since most are in german and to "maybe" people would get more in to them and not be intimidated on the "craft" side of it. on a 2 blade like my airwolf i run 1350-1425 (dependent on wind). Now that being said remember 950 is with almost no wind 3mph or less no gusts soon as it gets 5mph it takes about 1050 to truly hold with no gusts and scale flying. currently i have a UH1-D that i just repainted in an epoxy paint for federal standard OD green for that era. Making it into the 2/11 CAV 11 ACR "mr. Groovy" with custom beer cans for the launcher..This one i will try and make it authentic after maiden. I bought a resin printer and made the missiles and will make scale seats and such. I as well had another AH64 New in the box that will get tricked out (first one was built for a member at a field in tucson) this one will be mine with animitronic pilots, moving cap guns, smoke the whole 9 yards.
Best AH-64 model I have seen on UA-cam. Safe flying!
That's cool. I get to play with the real ones, but sometimes you just have to have one for yourself.
I need dual monitors to be able to see this beast of a heli, that sure is a monster.

Motionrc.com

I want one, how can I buy this?
You can buy one here www.motionrc.com/products/roban-ah-64-apache-green-700-size-scale-helicopter-arf
Why are they all sold out except for 2 models? Have they stopped producing them or is there any other reason?
are you happy that the us government just made it impossible to fly without remote id?
