This video has the most easy to follow directions. Other waffle stitch tutorials get way too involved in front posts and back posts, etc. This is the best!
For the row after the chain the first double crochet is going to go into the second stitch and after that the double crochet should go into every stitch
So I’ve tried it with different stuffing. If you use normal pillow stuffing it will be fine but if you use anything that’s feathery it will come out. Even though I didn’t add fabric I do recommend using it. The ones I made are more for decor pieces so it’s fine but I did make one that has a lightweight feather stuffing and it does come out from time to time. The ones that I used normal pillow stuffing are still fine

One more question, sorry to bother…so at the end you had a total of 2 rows of single crochets around the border?
Sorry i just saw your comment! Yes, I did 2 rows of single crochets! You can do more if you want a bigger border 😁
Thank you so much for responding; you are a great help! Your pillow looks fabulous!!
the first row after the chain....do you double crochet into every second stitch or into every stitch ?
For the row after the chain the first double crochet is going to go into the second stitch and after that the double crochet should go into every stitch
Hiiii…you said this was a small pillow….by chance is your pillow a 12x12? I have a 12x12 pillow and Im trying to figure out how many to chain. 🤯
Hii, I don’t have the pillow anymore but the Shiba pillow I compared it to is 12 by 13!
Thank you for you reply, it helped me out alot with how many chains and rows i need to do
Hello. If I do not add the fabric, the wool won’t spill out right?

@@JacquelinesLife thank you for your response, it was really helpful!
hey, when you're on the third row and you begin the double crochet are you inserting the hook into both loops of the v or just the front one? thanks
Hi! When you say v do you mean the stitch? If you mean the stitch then yes you should be going through both of the loops
Hi, I did mean the stitch yes thank you!
I need that!!
Your Christmas gift this year! 😹
How many did you chain in the video?
I made a chain of 46 for this pillow
