2016 was a highly underrated year for WWE. It deserved to be on this list. That year was a jam packed year full of amazing matches and Styles' debut and amazing storylines too
You have to include TNA 2004-2009. They were on fire and had the best in-ring preformers in the American wrestling scene paired with legends of the past & future like Sting, Scott Steiner, Kurt Angle, Xavier Woods, AJ Styles, Okada, the Young Bucks, Samoa Joe, Team 3D, and an insane amount of others.
Yeah, 2014 definitely had a lot of great and historic things happening My biggest complaint with said year was that I feel that’s when The Authority storyline was overstaying its welcome and getting repetitive and should’ve had its conclusion after Survivor Series instead of being brought back
2.0 getting acknowledged makes me happy. Sure it wasn’t what we had, but what we got was still great. So many talented individuals popped up from NXT 2.0
Not really. We are still waiting for anyone other than LA Knight to make transition to main roster, while I believe Bronn will strive, the most I can see for Melo and Trick are tag titles, Maybe a US title run few years down the line but it's hard for me to see them drawing big time
As soon as 1995 WCW was mentioned, the jerk in me immediately went to The Yeti/Giant/Hogan bearhug at Halloween Havoc 🤣 The Cruiserweight work around then was impeccable though. Smackdown in 2006 was cooking too.
1995 WCW had more really bad moments. Srg. Pittman was a Nitro regular, there was waaaay more Dungeon of Doom than just Halloween Havoc and it was all awful. Basically any undercard matches that didn't feature Steven Regal or the cruiserweigths was a down. It had some good moments but overall it was bad.
At the same time before and around CM Punk's Pipebomb TNA was having their 'Wrestling Matters Era' where the X Division was getting good with their X Division Contract Tournament (with returns and debuts and the finals being nominated for Match of the Year) and that year's Destination X was considered one of their best PPVs.

In Italy it was from 2004 to 2007. Unfortunately, after Benoit's death, Wrestling stopped being on free tv. Almost everyone around 30 years old remembers Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle and all the Smackdown superstars.
small error: SmackDown in '08 was on Friday, not Thursday. I watched it every week and was excited all school week waiting for Friday to come so I could watch it lol
I'm really happy Saturday night main event got a mention. I was in probably 4-6th grade during my most hardcore wrestling fandom. The main event where macho man turned on Hogan and got him with the belt in the locker room is the best thing I ever saw. I never knew when Saturday nights main event would be on. I would go to the grocery store with my mom, just so I could run to the magazine section and grab the new TV guide and frantically flip to late night Saturday listings to see if my Sunday morning would be awesome or not. It was on late and my parents wouldn't let me stay up so I'd tape it on a VCR and watch first thing Sunday morning.
Pretty much in the same spot as you. I started watching wrestling when we got cable in my tiny town in Maine when I was like 4 or 5, which was the Rock n Wrestling crossover leading into the 1st WrestleMaina. I was 0-10 in the 80s, but would do the same thing, check the TV guide for the sort of frequent SNME to record with the VCR, Prime Time on USA after MacGuyver and would buy a PWI (or anything wrestling magazine available) at a Mr. Paperback when we'd go out of town. I got an AWA ring from an Ames visiting my grandparents that had the Road Warriors and Fabulous Ones (didn't know who they were at the time), just to further age myself.
I believe that post 2008 till 2014 or the low point happened as wwe was trying to restructure the booking and storytelling to the PG era. Years of relying on sex and violence for rating is not easily adjusted to cater a more kiddy environment

Other than that, a enjoyable video all around.
Underrated eras in wrestling.... Immediately shows every wwe related era. Seriously I understand that WWE is "popular " but it would not bloody kill Andy to talk about other promotions that weren't bought by wwe. Yes I know they brought up wcw in 1995 but most of the choices are still WWE related! What about the era of Impact in 2021 (Kenny as Impact champion and the rise of Josh Alexander)or the era of njpw in 2012 (The great IWGP championship reign of Horishi Tanahashi and the slow rise of Okada and the rise of Devitt which wouldlead to the birth of OG BC).? If you are going to talk about underrated wrestling era, maybe not fill your lists if eras that related to 1 bloody wrestling company! The more accurate title would be "underrated wwe eras (and wcw).

Vince Was Scared. He Was Afraid That WCW Roster Was Superior. When ECW & WCW Jumped WWE Wrestlers, Why Didn’t Vince Bring Out The Cavalry? Because With Fans Seeing All 50 WWE Wrestlers, They Would’ve Asked Where Are The Rest Of WCW Roster & The Big Stars(Beside DDP/BookerT). WWE Had 9 BuiltMuscukar Heavyweight’s Most Of 2000 & For Most Of 2091-In Invasiion Angle 2001 They Had Steve Austin, The Rock(Starting July 30), Kane, Kurt Angke, Faarooq, Billy Gunn, Bull Buchanan, Hardcore Holly & Test.
WCW Had Hulk Hollywood Hogan, Sting, Goldberg, Lex Luger, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sid Vicious, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, Bret Hart, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, Booker T, Mike Awesome, Chuck Palumbo, Sean O’Haire, Shawn Stasiak, Mark Jindrak, Bryan Adams, Bryan Clarke, Road Warrior Animal, Kiss Demon, Curt Hennig, Vincent, Kanyon, Jerry Flynn, Stevie Ray, Konnan, Van Hammer, Norman Smiley, Horace Hogan, Johnny The Bull Stambolii & Reno. The WWE Replaced Hogan, Hall, Nash, Goldberg, Luger, Piper Sting, Sid, Steiner With Tommy Dreamer, Justin Credible & Rob Van Dam. At Invasion Instead Of Hogan, Hall & Nash They Had Rhyno & The Dudley Boyz. Vince Buying WCW & Mistreating WCW WrestlersWere The Beginning Of The End Of The WWE. No WWE Era Since 2008 Is Underrated. The WWE Made Invasion Storyline A Joje. The Invasion Could’ve Worked If The WWE Worked With What They Had Because WCW Roster Superior. They Would’ve Had To Bring Rest Of WCW Midcarders And Add ECW 10 Guys. And Push DDP, Booker T, Shawn Stasiak, Chuck Palumbo, Mark Jindrak, Sean O’Haire & Mike Awesome. And Allow Kronik To Destroy All The WWE Tag Teams. With WCW Being A Threat, Fans Then Would’ve Said WCW Are Powerful. No Choice Except For WCW Midcarders To Mostly Tear Up The WWE’s. And Fans Would’ve Said Imagine What WCW Are Gonna Do When WCW Top Stars Get Here. And Their Midcard Inevitably Dominate Continues
I fn hated the yes movement

Ecw wasn't a true alternative..to ecw fans it was great but to everyone else it was trashy. If ecw wasn't so trashy and had actual production value it could've been a true alternative.
