I feel like this everyday. Feel like now I'm clean and so on and not fake I'm just left on my own and can't trust anyone to get close because they won't like what they find as they always say it's the past until I tell them I'm no pedo or mass murder but it's still seems to be easier to stay away than get involved. From experience, I learned that people ask you how you are hoping to hear you're fine. Otherwise they have to help or worry, which a lot of them don't want. That's why a lot of them leave or evade the person in question eventually.

Same, I had fake friends then I realized they're fake when I told them how I felt, now the only way I can tell other is online anonymously or not if I know nobody will see it. I still can't believe how stupid I was, I should of known and that's why I have trust issues. Once I was punched and threatened to be killed and I was like oh, they're still my friends. I'm a dumba** lol. Now I wish you all the luck I never had and will have.

My favorite artists! I absolutely adore SkyxDaddy is an artist who speaks to me as a survivor of sexual abuse and now Citizen Soldier collaborated with her? I'm speechless. This song speaks as everytime I open up a little, I'm treated terribly. I'm too depressing. Too much of a downer. A burden. You both speak to me as artists and I find extreme comfort in both of your music. Thank you for being a voice for the voiceless like me.
The feeling of not being enough and being a burden to the ones around you feels to similar.
The feeling of having to keep your secrets to yourself becomes to much sometimes.
But remember, there are people out there who are willing to carry some of your burdens with them so you don't have to carry them alone.

I cannot explain the sound that came out of me when I woke up to this.
The minute I hit play, the tears started flowing. As a C-PTSD sufferer, every word struck a cord. Every. Single. One. And it's so hard to explain to people why I pretend I'm okay all the time. Perfect timing, Citizen Soldier! My autistic a** is so freaking frustrated and pissed off with my life right now. Moving out and taking a break from university was supposed to reduce stress, not increase it!!! Now, not only do I have to navigate the process of moving in my new manufactured home and settling in, but I also have to deal with the logistics of making sure I can still be able to utilize the very much supportive services from my therapist, psychiatrist, and the autism group on campus, lest I have to rush to secure a new therapist and - specifically - psychiatrist or lose access to the medication that I take. Just really frustrated, angry, overwhelmed, anxious . . . Endless emotions that I could list . . . So, thank you!!! Like I said, perfect freaking timing!!!
The best distraction from my chaotic life that the Universe could provide is a newly released Citizen Soldier song.

Don’t get me started.” This was the part of the song that struck me emotionally the most, especially after the years of childhood family ‘therapy’ that never was really therapeutic for me. I’ve only recently been able to open up to my therapist and a select handful of my closest friends about my long-buried past, and it is incredibly liberating to be able to open up after so many years of keeping it bottled up and locked up in my mind behind a neurological lock and key. However, there’s always that part of me that is torn on whether or not to shut myself off again, lest I lose those hard-fought-for friendships.

Citizen soldier has been my favourite artist for at least a year and a half, then around 7 months ago I heard a song by skydxddy who then became my other favourite(not second I can’t choose which one I like most), and now I see my 2 favourite artists work together on a song I have been waiting(I heard it in a video from Crazy Cae), and I couldn’t be more happy, it’s night for me, and when I remembered it came out today then I just had to hear it, I squealed so loudly(not too loud but still) that I almost thought I was going to wake my mom up, and her room is on the other side of the house, and she’s kinda a deep sleeper, and I really love this, also because I have ADHD and I’m in a “normal” class(also it’s not one where the other students have special needs, but sometimes it actually feels like they are the ones with ADHD and not me, I’m more of a calm ADHD’er(no I don’t have ADD)
, and my classmates are very hyper(yes I know just because someone’s hyper doesn’t mean they have ADHD, as I have already said I have it myself, and I’m not exactly “fun” if you could say that, the others in my class love playing football/soccer, and I HATE it, and I just don’t really take part of their shenanigans, I also have some other health problems lately but yeah

It will be 3 years since I lost my wife here soon. This is how I felt for so long. With everyone telling you to open up and when you do they walk away. At that moment in my life, I felt very heavy. I am fortunate to have found a woman that didn't that I was too heavy. She and her daughter have been my lifesaver through so very much. I still feel heavy at times, but bands like Citizen Soldier have helped say so many words that I was screaming in my mind. Thank You for the music you make.
