    Don Bosco opened the gates of heaven as reasonably as he could, even to those who remained unrepentant. Bisio Giovanni served in Don Bosco’s rooms from 1864 until 1871, and he affirmed, “I can say that Don Bosco was called to the city many times to hear the confessions of sick and obstinate sinners. Whenever I questioned him upon his return to the Oratory, his answer was always: ‘Well… That fellow confessed.’”

      He converted many, many people, but Voltaire died before he was born. He mentioned the facts about Voltaire that he had read. He had a stunning intellect as well and proved that he had memorized all that he had read, or had heard read in high-school. So he was not only incredibly holy, but was extremely intellectual as well.

    That’s Amazing, we need good priest’s like this, I remember my uncle who passed away over a year ago, he was on his 60 s big family grandchildren great grandchildren, he didn’t go to mass confession adoration, had no time for GOD, he was very sick with diabetes for years but later in life lost his lag, in hospital for long time, his wife asked him many times to see a priest, but always no, but one day she brought him his soup 🍜 he had it eat his bread 🍞 said he loved her,she said again will you see a priest, he said happily yes, priest came in said his Rosary with the priest had his confession , all went well, said good night to his wife said I will see you tomorrow and bring more soup, that night alone he passed away, GOD is good in his Divine Mercy, Amen.

    Supposedly, the exorcist of the possessed boys of Alsace asked one of the demons if Voltaire was damned. The demon answered that he arrived at the gates of hell terrified. Of course, demons are liars, so who knows?

  • @lizaburgos

    Amazing about Voltaire. Because Voltaire was a Rosicrucian/Luciferian.
    In the end, he repented.
    If Mussolini is in heaven, according to a vision of a saint, than God is incredibly merciful and loves us so much that he forgives us when we repent.

    I don't believe Voltaire converted

    • @donboscostories
      @donboscostories  3 місяці тому

      Voltaire was screaming for a priest when he almost died. Don Bosco was saying if his heart was in the right place, God would've forgiven him and he would be in Heaven. That's the whole point. He wasn't saying definitively that he was in Heaven, because no one can possibly know that. He's saying that IF Voltaire converted, he is in Heaven. Some people don't believe that someone that evil can turn everything around and be converted at the very end. Some people think that there are unforgiveable souls. Although not advisable to take that chance, God can forgive someone at the last minute if they are truly repentant, as he did St. Dismas. Also, he was trying to show that EVEN Voltaire, an apparent bastion of atheism, had many doubts at the end.

    I thought Voltaire died a horrible death because of being anti catholic.
    I also thought Fidel Castro had a horrible death.......................commit evil deeds and then saved??????

    • @donboscostories
      @donboscostories  9 місяців тому +7

      Please look up Saint Dismus, because it is possible to be saved and forgiven at any point in your life. That being said, I think that Fidel is probably in Hell because there's no evidence of conversion. But no one can be 100% sure, that's only for Judas (the only person in history that we can definitively say went to hell). But if a Saint says that he has evidence that someone made it to heaven, I'm inclined to believe him. Don Bosco was extremely learned and memorized everything he had read. The death of Voltaire is a hotly contested topic because he's a darling of the enlightenment. Being closer to Voltaire in history, Don Bosco probably had access to sources that are now no longer available or have been hidden. OR... Don Bosco was speaking about the first time that Voltaire nearly died.

      Anyone can be saved if they truly repent. You are commenting in a Catholic channel, you must know that.

  • @Eight-PointedStars
    @Eight-PointedStars 9 місяців тому +3

    The first part of his video brought tears to my eyes. But tears were not a guarantee that truth would follow in the next story. St. Don Bosco certainly must have studied his Bible better than to say that Judas was the only one whom Scriptures say is in Hell. Moses wrote about many people who went to Hell. A dramatic example was Core in Numbers 16: 31ff. He and his fellow conspirators and all the members of their families, and the incense carriers, were cast into Hell alive for all to see. In the New Testament there are also many examples. Ananias and Saphira (Acts 5) come to mind. They fell dead in the act of lying to the Church. The Church also celebrates God's justice towards the Herods, Pilate, and the curious onlookers, and "all those who love a lie." The Church has also officially stated that Catholics are not allowed to hope for the salvation of certain categories of people. This is a holy teaching. Hell is a holy doctrine, not one that we should combat and be ashamed of. God is All-holy and His Judgments are to be feared. St. Don Bosco was shown that the majority of his boys would not be saved, but his work was more than rewarded in those who were saved and sanctified.

      You can read this story in “The Biographical Memoirs of Saint John Bosco,” by Fr. Giovanni Battista Lemoyne, Volume 6, Chapter 3, Page 19. Everything that he said checks out with Catholic Doctrine.

    • @Eight-PointedStars
      @Eight-PointedStars 9 місяців тому

      You say so, though what is said sounds like a green light for priests to soft peddle Catholic doctrine in order to make it more pleasing to a stubborn sinner. Really, to do this is sinful. It is kindness-- tragically misunderstood. Remember to take Our Lady as an example of the perfect catechist. She wasted no time in teaching little children about Hell, she even showed it to them. Every day of their lives their minds flashed back to that scene -- and it made them great saints and victim souls.

    You left out the the godly attributes of all knowing and all powerful, which overrides the free will of both the saved and the unrepentant.
    In other words nothing you can do or not do can change God's predetermined plan for humanity.

    • @donboscostories
      @donboscostories  9 місяців тому +6

      Nope, that's predestination and is denounced by the Catholic Church as a heresy. Humanity's free will is never suspended by God.

    • @0amyish
      @0amyish 9 місяців тому

      There is absolutely a predestination for heaven prepared for every soul, but it must be desired and confirmed by the individual will. We are given free will to choose God's plan for our salvation. There's a reservation booked in heaven for everyone who accepts it with faith, gratitude, purity, and love for God.

    • @donboscostories
      @donboscostories  9 місяців тому +3

      I wouldn't use the term, "predestination," because that's the same word for a very evil heresy.

    • @0amyish
      @0amyish 9 місяців тому

      @donboscostories I appreciate the distinction. I had hoped to make a point to the original reply; but you are correct that *predestination* as the poster understands it is heresy and spiritual impoverishment. Thanks be to God for His beautiful Will, which allows us to choose Him.
