@arielelijah1282 John bosco looks like a teacher who I had in elementary school. Unfortunately that teacher wasn't a believer. He taught us Greek mythology. But he was a good teacher who I enjoyed a lot.
St John Bosco please pray for my son's and my grandchildrens return to the faith. Please deliver my son and his girlfriend out of bad lifestyle and change their hearts to know love and honour the Lord.
Thank you so much Matthew..wow what a lovely story. I wonder what ended up of this Jewish boy. I am so fascinated by Don Bosco's intelligence, many of the Saints had exceptional cognitive abilities.
Take heart then, it means Jesus is carrying you. If at times your burden of your cross seems to get too much at times do what I do. I’ve suffered from rheumatoid arthritis since my teen years so live with constant pain and fatigue but some times/days it truly feels like it is too much to bear and that is when I cry out to Jesus saying I can’t cope at this moment, it’s too much and my pain is agonising (I’m usually in bed in tears at this point) and say Simon of Cyrene helped carry His own cross for a bit and please come and bear mine just for a bit so I can hold it up strong again. Within minutes I get comfort and can drift of for some sleep and I wake up refocused and able to cope again. Other times I have important things to do that I can’t put off but don’t have the energy and pain seems constant so I ask the above also. Do try it Jesus is just waiting for you to ask Him
@@irishandscottish1829Thank you God bless! I pray 3-5 times a day. I have grown old with the Lord. He has been sealed in my head since childhood. My dad passed away Sept 16 this month. It doesn't even feel real. I keep reading his text messages we sent each other. He was 67 and had lung issues, in and out of the hospital for a while. The Lord called him home. The last two years we were really close after my car wreck. In 2021 I almost died in car wreck. I was on the interstate headed to work when another car hit me going over 100mph. My car flipped 6 times. Luckily I was wearing my seatbelt. But my leg needed to be completely reconstructed. Well it didn't go so well. At first it did but my stitches came lose and my knee and couldn't stitch back over my bone and required plastic surgery. That didn't work either. In the meantime my knee locked up from not bending for over 1 year and now it may need amputation. Along with my foot that has no function basically anymore. I haven't walked in 2 yrs. Recliner to wheelchair is the routine. Losing my dad crushed me more than anything. He believed in his heart that Christ was the Son of God. Please ask God to take care of my dad. Thanks ✝️❤️🕊️

The Salesians have a store with many books on Saint John Bosco, including the 20 volumes of his biographical memoirs (last page): tinyurl.com/SalesianMissions
I read a book called "Get us out of here", written by Nicky Eltz. Maria Simma once asked a soul in purgatory about if an unbaptized person tries to confession, they may recieve an informal confession, and still recieve graces. Jesus will not deny anyone forgiveness if they are truly sorry, want to ammend their life, do pennance and sin no more.
@@kennotrogzeug7012 this is what I have always believed because when I was 12 my papa died but on his death bed he asked my mum and dad to get him a Priest (he was a Protestant and previous a Freemason who walked away when the other Freemasons cornered him over his daughter my mum marrying an Irish catholic). He didn’t have a deathbed conversion per se from what I have been told but our parish Priest spent a long time with him doing what he could due to my papas condition etc. so it was more of an informal confession and a blessing on him. After that papa apparently said the Priest was a man of God and sung his praises because of it because papa said the Priest got rid of all the ‘men in black’ that were in his room around him and was finally at peace and at ease. Again when my nannie died 2 years later she also asked for a Priest - not a minister from her Protestant denomination. When speaking she told him she was brought up catholic but converted when she married so they spoke more and apparently she then asked him to do with her what was needed so she could get her ‘last rites’ so she reverted on her deathbed. Again it was the same Priest. I have no doubt that God was working in both of them and giving them graces at every Mass they did attend (God knew their hearts and being believers already knew what graces to give them so they would eventually ask of their own free will for a Priest) - as they would come to Mass to watch all of us get our Sacraments or when we were doing things in the Mass.
@@bluehorizon-e8s I wasn’t told of the masons doing anything to him but due to things the whole family has experienced the Priest I spoke to definitely thinks there could have been a curse on us from it. When he was dying he would beg the nurses and my parents to get rid of the men all in black at the bottom of his bed as they scared him. Papa also asked for my parents to call the Priest despite not being catholic and after our parish Priest had been, blessed him and was with him for hours papa said the black men disappeared with the blessing. Whether those black men were linked to his masonry or leaving masonry we don’t know but the fact it was the blessing from the Priest and prayers than made them leave so papa could have a peaceful death stuck with us
Why is the boy’s mother referred to as the ‘town witch’ (given that she was Jewish, rather than worshipping nature or the devil)? Was it perhaps a pejorative based on her caustic demeanor?
7:55 He said the Jewish community called her "the witch" because of her appearance, not so much her demeanor. She wasn't an actual witch involved in the occult.
the fact that theres no living saints tells you where were at today.. in the bible, the only time the lord didnt provide a living saint or prophet was when he was very displeased by his people.
Good episode, but the title is misleading. She only *looked* like a witch, but was not an *actual* witch. I keenly dislike and disapprove of this sort of behavior that has taken over the media of today. It’s rampant dishonesty, in order to get clicks. Not directing that last half at this channel, just venting a bit, as this really bothers me. Ok, ok, end rant. On to the next John Bosco video now. ☺️
Her own people called her "the witch." I don't know what more you want. Are you calling me dishonest? Or the book of biographical memoirs dishonest? I have no idea why you would rant on a saint's channel, it's really not the place. I never wanted clicks, if I did, I would upload puppy videos or something. Keep in mind, another thing that's rampant in this world is lack of charity and common politeness.
Truly, St John Bosco was a gift for lost boys
A gift for everyone
Hopefully some teachers become like St. John Bosco.

That was really a beautiful message today. St John Bosco is my favourite Saint and I never miss any of your episodes. Thank you very much Matthew

1:07 does Saint Don Bosco ever explain how he was able to sleep only a few hours?
Matthew, i love these videos. Thank you for putting these on UA-cam. Can you recommend any books on Don Bosco?

Is no one gonna comment how John Bosco basically was always “sleep deprived”?
And when he got older, he was afraid to go to sleep because of his intense dreams or demonic activity would keep him awake. Truly a man of suffering.
