  • Jimmy Page reunites with iconic, classic rock photographer Jorgen Angel, who took the very first pictures of Led Zeppelin in Denmark sep 1968, and who also shot Jimmy, with the Yardbirds, april 1967, when Jorgen was 15 years old.
The two icons had a great, warm, loose and very fun get-to-gether in London, October 2014, where danish writer Henrik Tuxen interviewed Jimmy Page.

Jimmy has such an infectious personality when he is in a relaxed setting among friends. What a pleasure it would be to enjoy a cocktail with such company.

I enjoyed a cocktail with Jimmy after the Firm show in 1986, at the Ol' Absinthe House on Bourbon Street.
He's just as friendly and nice as anyone you would ever want to meet.
Yes, it was quite the pleasure.

@@AbleBodied Great story. I visited the Absinthe House, and was immediately struck by how much the interior resembled the album cover of In through the Out Door. Then I discovered that Jimmy Page commissioned Aubrey Powell to replicate the Absinthe House decor on the record's artwork. And I further read that Jimmy would occasionally jam there with guitarist Mason Ruffner, who held some opening slots on the Firm tours. And of course, the Absinthe bar is a few blocks from the Royal Orleans hotel where Zeppelin often stayed when in the Big Easy.

This is the first video of Jimmy I've ever seen of him just being purely himself. Maybe he didn't know they were recording. I would love being in the company of him and playing music with him. So enthusiastic. It's great. Long Live Jimmy Page!!!

I agree. Never seen Jimmy so at ease. No trace of having his guard up, or looking for the right line....Seems to have something to do with Jorgan Angel being comfortable and not star-struck in the presence of artists.

everything was super loose. I asked Jimmy's press guy if I could record some on my beat up ipad. they were all fine with it, and things were in good spirit. also after the interview where JP was hanging out, laughing talking about all kinds of stuff. Met him three times during those days. I'd interviewed him 5 months earlier for a different piece, which he remembered and appearently felt good about. For sure he was very talkative.

The coolest rockstar... The midnight blue of Rockstars is Jimmy Page. The greatest guitarist of Rock music.
My other favorites in other genres are T bone Walker and Django Reinhardt. But when Rock was born out of Rock n Roll and what not.. Jimmy Page did that. Jimmy is the daddy.

Just after the 2 minute 40 seconds mark we see Jimmy with the look of a naughty schoolboy caught in an act of mischief - at the mention of Bonzo - the original men behaving badly! Brilliant.... Mr P, in the rare event that you get to read this, the brief chance I had to meet you back in 2005 was indeed a life changing event which led to my marriage - fret ye not, that's a good thing! Testimony to the power of Music. ☺

@@ledfarmer100 haha, yeah totally. the full session was for sure 30 minutes and probably more. I'd interviewed Jimmy for a story 5 months earlier - and years ago him and Plant. So he was totally loose, and all was in good spirit. I convinced Jørgen Angel to go, who at that point had no passport and was planning never to leave Denmark again, but it turned out to be an amazing trip. We also had a seriously good laugh with Jimmy later on. By coincidence saw Jimmy walking towards me in this corridore. I looked up, pointed at him saying 'You, look so much like Jimmy Page'.. Well I am, he said coming towards me, grabbing my hands, adding 'I just met your companion down there', with this real joking smile in his eyes, and then disappering through a door nearby. Right after Jørgen appears, with this gigantic smile on his face, coming towards me, saying. 'You know what you've never done? Been pissing over cross (danish expression) with Jimmy Page". So I think you can guess where the two gentlemen just met.
