- "NUMAN ATHLETICS" is a sports game released by NAMCO (Bandai Namco Entertainment) in 1993.
Choose one of the four superhumans [Newman] and win a total of 8 types of competitions.
Each competition has a NEED value, and unless you exceed that record, you will not be able to clear the competition and move on to the next competition.
The "Arcade Archives" series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces.
Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores.
Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games.

Originally released on the Namco NA-2 hardware on September of 1993, Numan Athletics is a sports game which takes the formula made famous by Konami's Track and Field and its sequels and takes it to a whole new level which would only be seen in comic books and anime series such as the late Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball series.
Each event has a goal to meet and if it isn't cleared, you'll be disqualified. There are eight events in total with each one having a unique set of rules, with many of them using the expected methods of mashing buttons and timing things correctly in order to succeed.
And just like Namco's previous multi-player games such as Tank Force, Exvania, and Knuckle Heads, up to 4 players can compete against each other to see who is the superior superhuman whose cast includes Sharon L'Alles from France, Harry Boffin from America, Masaemon Nakamura from Japan, and Bongo Tembo from Kenya.
Isn't that the same architecture as the Playstation 1 or am I thinking of a different Namco board. Since Sony and Namco worked together along with Ken and his team on the original Playstation system.
This makes me so happy. I love Sharon. Now…if we could get The Outfoxies next, I’d be ecstatic
This game looks fun. After this game, let's see if Parodius Da can come to the Arcade Archives on Switch.
An animesque girl throwing a missle in a distance competition. I might have to buy this game because it looks so cool and crazy.
Just be sure to invest on an arcade stick since this game shows no mercy on the buttons at all.
And even with that, make sure the stick is well maintained since it can be used as an alternative to the Left and Right buttons when the L Stick option is set to on.
I am on the waiting room for NUMAN ATHLETICS 2
Oh my! The sound is so like Ridge Racer that this is an insta-buy for me just for the sparkling feels Ridge Racer gives me.
The music was done by Nobuyoshi Sano who made his composing debut with this game. He would later compose Rare Hero for Ridge Racer 1.
Now, I need Hamster to bring Tinkle Pit to the Arcade Archives.
Never ever thought I'd see this get a home port, let alone in America. Amazing.
Thank you so much for bringing this gem to Arcade Archives! Also thank you to Namco for creating this hilarious arcade game!
We're getting Numan Athletics? WE'RE ACTUALLY GETTING NUMAN ATHLETICS?!?!
I'd love to see Mach Breakers on here some day
Lets gooooo!
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is all i need.
A great addition 👏
Please add numan athletics and mach breakers numan athletics 2 to the E-shop as well. 🙏
It's gonna be on the eShop pretty soon. So just be patient.
Crazy game!!!
I can imagine this seeing a home port on the snes or genesis.
Never seen this arcade before. It looks incredible!!
It's about time!
I got it!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Please bring a Gang Wars (1989) arcade game
Never heard of this one. Looks cool
It's pretty much Track and Field with a strong anime influence to it.
Our dreams came true!
Alright why wasn't this on SNES? This game looks amazing! it would have been hours of fun, especially if it supported Hudson Soft's 4-player multitap! So why didn't Namco have it ported?!?
I think I need a rapid fire Nintendo Switch controller playing safe than sorry as if I do with Track and Field and Hyper Sports. Now how difficult is this?
Awesome, I loved playing this back in the day at an arcade in Matlock, England.
Hopefully much like Rolling Thunder getting it's sequel, AA gets round to releasing Mach Breakers too, criminally overlooked!
Also - In this present day of awful western designs, the Numan games have some great waifu's and cool looking guys :P
Especially Sharon who is often the subject of a lot of Namco based fan artwork and fanfiction
If ya'll are getting hype for this, Mach Breakers is even better
GOAT
This looks so hawt!
I was hoping Blast Off or Nebulasray, but that will do, I suppose
And Tinkle Pit, too.

Is it Possible for r-type 3 or super r-type
Super R-Type is already on Switch Online.
@@Korgoth9 yeah……but i want to actually own it not pay for a monthly fee
@@Korgoth9that's the home SuperNES version though, the arcade is a little different.
@@beauwalker9820 There is no arcade Super R-TYPE or R-Type III.
Both those titles were only SNES games. They didn’t release on anything else.
Now let Bandai Namco let you bring out the Japanese only sequel Mach Breakers: Newman Athletes 2 Hamster.
