get rid of that coil kit, go with stock eldors or delphi coils OR get the b58 ignition kit

Couldn’t agree more with running eldors! Been running them for years on mine.
Bmw engines like all the same parts. You can not mix and match. You will get random misfires idky. Make sure the coil pack and spark plugs are from the same company "if you can" that will definitely fix any "random" misfires
You should check the injector seal, they oval out and you can tap them w/ new metal seals. Check it out. When the injector housing ovals out it can cause random misfires w/ no codes

Hey bro, I hope you give this a shot. I have a single turbo 335i what had constant misfire issues as well. All the same issues you’re having with similar setup. Turns out it was adding dielectric grease to the coil boot plugs (both sides). Since I’ve done that I’m able to run 32+ psi all day and rarely get misfires. When I do, I just add a big more grease and it’s good.
Hope this solves your issues because I was there a few years ago haha.
Upgrade to the MSD81 ECU. It’s a matter of time before the transistors in the MSD80 ECU (in 07-08 N54 cars) that control injectors/coils will fry when power is turned up as little as doing an MHD Stage 1 flash, and only worse beyond that level. MSD81 solved those problems with beefed up components.
I’m going through the same stuff. 07 335i. Misfire in fourth at wot. I pulled my plugs and noticed the washer for the plug was wedged not allowing the spark plug all the way down. Mines fine now. I use eldor coils ngk gapped at 0.020. Tune could be your issue. Or if you are getting misfires on 123 cylinder or 456…it could be an o2 sensor. Change your first bank o2 sensors. If not. Get the Nexsys b58 coil kit. Use a real gap tool too, not the autozone coin.

Hey Man, did you check if your battery is weak? Usually a weak battery (even if it turns the car on) on high rpm, the alternator is not enough to supply all the power needed, especially of you have aftermarket ignition coil kit, so it will take the rest of the power supply needed from the bartery, but the battery wont have enough juice
You should put a new battery AGM 110 AH and try
I noticed that always your first run is ok, seems the battery has charged a bit, while your second run it will misfire
Or check the positive terminal on the battery sometimes it gets loose and won't transfer enough electricity

Pr coils are hot or miss. They gave me massive misfires and stumbling and after chasing it for 4 months switched back to eldor coils and ran perfect. Some people have no issues with pr coils but no codes for misfires is a very common issue with pr coils especially with jb4. Something along the lines that they don’t communicate right to throw codes

are you running it with no boost controller? mine did the exact thing when my boost safety point was lower than boost target it would misfire when boost went over what i had set. took me a bit to figure that out
When it shows the min mark for oil level, that means it's 1L below full (not empty). Also, every time you restart the car, it takes like 5 min of run time for it to show the oil level. If the car is off, it won't show the oil level.

monitor logs my guy. Could be bad 02's, could be ovaled out injector bores, could be shtty tune, and finally could be those garbage pr coils. I personally delt with the same issues and it was pr coils the entire time.

What are your AFRS reading? Are they all over the place? I have Sam setup and I would be surprised if you need up stream o2 sensors

please before making expensive mistakes just check your injectors/injectors seal/make sure those injection coils are good for the power your car making and hope you figure it out ❤️

02 sensors could be on they way out
check both primary and secondary
when the circuit is low it could mess with your fuel mixture
or carbon build up
O2 sensors are good, walnut blast would definitely be a good idea though if that’s what you mean by carbon buildup?!
@Jakob Jensen well the carbon just starts to build up on top of the valves and the walls of the intake....wallbut blast is good but doing both a chemical clean and a blast will make it brand spanking new.....some brass brushes and either valve or brake cleaner and some scrubbing and you should be good....and you know manual rotation the engine to make sure each valve is closed when working on it. Good luck if that's what you decide to do and hope you find your problem.....or could be a vaccume leak so you test your lines....also could be a spark is gapped way to close after your torque down....n54 problems lol
Ovaled injector hole or low compression
Check for leaky injectors and also try do engine compression test.

PR coils are shit. If you are running port make sure your Port is firing. I was getting misfires and my port never fired and it leaned my car out. Car made 800+ but then the ringlands gave out due to me leaning the car out too much

Certain 2008 and lower years have dme msd80 which need to be updated to msd81. Older dmes misfires when turning up the power.
