  • Hey guys,
    In this video i show you how to perform some of the basic maintenance tasks that every KTM Duke or RC owner can do themselves,
    1.Engine Oil Change(20W50)
    2.Spark Plug change(VR5NE)
    3.Oil filter change
    4.Air filter change
    5.Chain tensioning(25mm play at mid zone)
    I did this when my odo was 37850km
    You can reduce a lot of service cost when you do these simple procedures yourselves.
    Your basic tools are sufficient.
    Have fun guys...Hope it was informative.

    Bro I didn't understand the spark plug replacement , when I give my bike to showwrom for changing spark plug they didn't even open the tank.. they just replace it by hand through duke chaseis space,, and they tighten it by spanner without the measurement that you shown in this video! kindly reply !!!

    ! Hellow, I need help!
    So I've bought a KTM Duke 125 and already did a big clean up, service maintenance (oil change, oil filter change, sparkplug and air filter), cleaned the chain beautiful but here's my problem : the chain makes a lot of noise and I already know why. The chain tension is good for 75% of his travel around the sprocket and get tight 25%.. But really tight.. Is there a diy way to fix or is it better for me to change the whole chain/sprocket?

    • @Did13r-
      @Did13r- 5 років тому

      The bike is 15.000km btw, theets of the sprocket nog sharp at all.. But the noise and bump I get in the acceleration are bothering me...

    • @dudesandtools
      @dudesandtools  4 роки тому

      Make sure there is 1 inch of play in the chain at midway between the sprockets......rotate your wheels and check the chain tension at multiple points.....there may be uneven stretch in the chain .....if this doesn't solve your issue change the whole chain and sprocket set and set your tension right....
