- This week sees the return of match days at Fir Park Stadium, as the team take on Kilmarnock in a pre-season friendly on Friday.
But before that, there’s work to be done. Head groundsman Paul Matthew spends the week preparing the pitch voted the best in the Scottish Premiership, and shows us what goes into getting it ready.
One player who won’t feature in Friday’s game is Jake Carroll. Having ruptured his Achilles tendon back in February, it’s a long road back for the Republic of Ireland left defender. We speak to him about what he has to do to get back to full fitness from the serious injury.
Jordan White is one of our summer recruits, stepping up to the top flight in Scottish football for the first time. Having opened his account in last weekend’s friendly win over Dundee United, he tells us what he’ll bring to the club.
And then the week ends with the visit of Kilmarnock. Life at the stadium is different, with both teams changing in various locations around the ground and many safety protocols in place. But, when it’s all done, there’s 90 minutes of football played at Fir Park for the first time since 4 March.
