It so lovely to see some older style videos again. Hope you're settling into your new home.
My ambrosia salad is one can of drained fruit cocktail, one can drained mandarin oranges, one can drained pineapple tidbits, one apple peeled and small chopped, one small jar of maraschino cherries drained and halved, half cup shredded coconut, 1 cup of pecans chopped without the dust, half a small bag of colored mini marshmallows and one regular size container of cool whip all mixed together. If any nut allergies don’t include pecans. If anyone in the crowd doesn’t like coconut I put it in a separate bowl so people can add if they want it. That’s my house because two of my kids don’t like coconut. I usually save a whole cherry to put on top. My sister in law goes the sour cream route but mine is more popular. Sour cream cuts some of the sweetness and gives it more of a tangy taste.
My oldet sister and i meal plan
Split the bill in half
And we cook what we are known for making
And plus i do the clean up cause my sister does main cooking/host
And it has helped our sister relationship since we took over cooking for holidays
And my mom just watches Netflix and gives her approval cause she taught us to cook
In my ambrosia salad, I use what you use for fruit plus maraschino cherries & mix with 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt & 8 ozs. frozen whipped topping like cool whip. ❤
To Mac and cheese I like to add mushrooms and bacon pieces and top it with tomato slices and cheese. So good
Since my husband and I don’t have children and don’t live close to family, I don’t cook for Easter. We go out or just do nothing special . But this year I cooked. So I made your pork tenderloin with the spices and soy sauce, like the one you posted the other week. It was sooo delicious. Made a pineapple casserole, and funeral potatoes. It was so good. Then I cooked some mixed greens. Your Easter dinner inspired me to cook.❤️ It was delicious😜
My mom made ambrosia salad with canned fruit cocktail, canned mandarin oranges. Instant vanilla pudding mix made as the box says. A container of cool whip, mini marshmallows and chopped pecans. And she added maraschino cherries halved. Yum!!
Thank you for all the great recipes, Kimmy!
I will be serving lamb with potato croquettes, asparagus wrapped with bacon, creamy mashed potato, green salad and roasted Brussels sprouts. Loved you recipes - might add the tortellini salad as an alternative! God bless you and your family!
I’m with you about the sourdough bread, I don’t have any desire to jump into that « fashion » there is so much good bread recipes around for me to start all the fuss of sourdough 🙂🙂 I wish we had Wildgrain in Quebec Canada
I’ve tried to make sourdough bread,, what a challenge!!
I agree!
My mom always made ambrosia with colored mini marshmallows, sour cream and drained fruit cocktail.
First off, great 👍 video. Your cooking is amazing.
I’m trying the pork tenderloin first and the very last lemon with the lemon frosting, and then the pretzel salad. I haven’t made that in years. You gave me some new recipes to start making my Easter dinner favorites.
Love 💕 and Hugs. 💙💙💙
We add cool whip to our ambrosia. My DIL's family makes theirs with vanilla yogurt and fruit cocktail.
I always added maraschino cherries to the salad, it looks so pretty
Thank you. It all looked beautiful and delicious. I'm going to try a couple of these for Easter this year. I wanted to switch it up a bit this year. I love how brightly colored some of the dishes were and that is what I'm looking for this year. I hope you and your family have an amazing Easter. ❤
I'm sooo with you on sourdough bread. I tried it years ago and killed my starter 😮 The subscription box sounds nice! The Mac and cheese looks soooo dang good! Gonna try it!
I’ll be making some of your Italian Christmas Cookies with pastel colored frosting; I think they’ll be perfect for Easter.
Hi Kimmy. My family Easter meal is: ham, potato salad, baked beans, deviled eggs, Mac and cheese, fluff salad
These all look delicious! Thank you for sharing them. I am definitely going to try the cheesy ranch potatoes and the pineapple pretzel dish.
Happy baking!
I really want to try making that cake!
Absolute every recipe looked so keepable for trying. Great video.
Hope you enjoy
I make ham for Easter . I buy a spiral cut ham, I mix brown sugar and ground cloves together. I put maple syrup on the ham and the put the brown sugar mixture on the ham then i put the ham in a 350 degree over for about 3-4 hours basting every hour. Its a family favorite.
Kimberly
Thank you Thank you. Still know if I'm hosting Easter. I'm getting out our planner, and writing all these recipes out. Then I can't go wrong.
Happy Easter to your family
great recipes Kimmie will definitely be trying the ranch potatoes!!!
Our favorite is bacon wrapped asparagus and the Easter cookies that my mom makes. And it wouldn't be complete without Easter egg potato salad.YUM!
I've told you before, but I grew up in MA. My grandfather made mac and cheese like your mom. I haven't had it since I was a child in the 80s. I make my own mac and cheese but not like this. I need to do it next time. We are eating some now that I made on the stovetop. I think my husband would love the baked. Thank you!!
Thank you for posting ❤
Everything looks yummy😊
I wish you would try Frog eye Salad on your channel
Your Mom's Mac & Cheese looks great. Not a lover of pre-packaged breadcrumbs. Always stale tasting to me.
I was raised on crushed Ritz crackers and extra shredded cheese on top of my Mac dish. Always a hit when I serve it.
Those cheesey ranch potatoes looked yummy too. Absolutely giving it a try.😋
Hubby lovessss ambrosia salad. Have to also add some cool whip, chopped up peaches & chopped nuts (walnuts/pecans/almond slivers). Top with some drained marrachino cherries.
That Greek tortellini salad looked fantastic. Definitely giving that a try too.🤤
We do like Ham at Easter.😊❤
Great ideas. All set with sides this year.😁💐💐💐
Great recipes and great ideas. Thank you and blessings to you and your family.
Love all these recipes! 😋
Here in Ireland it's typically Spring Lamb for Easter, but not always.
Lemon is my favorite, too! I have mixed lemon and vanilla together, which is amazing!
Thanks for the recipes.i need some new ones ❤
My mom would cube bread slices and brown them in butter in a skillet. Top the mac and cheese and bake. Yum!!! The buttery bread and the cheese is delicious!!
I am totally serving every one of those recipes for Easter!!!!! Great kimmy❤
These all look so good!! Thanks for sharing. I will have to write these down to try!
Yumm! Thanks for sharing!! I’m
Cooking these😋
Great ideas.
Looks delicious
Spinach tortellini salad looks delicious!!!
It really is!
Thanks for the recipes
Glad you like them!
Classic 1950s ambrosia salad has to have cut up cherries. 🍒
For ours. We use 1 can of fruit cocktail, pineapple tidbits, 1can maranda oranges, sour cream, and coconut. Yum.
Oh my, all of your recipes look so good and they look pretty easy to make, I definitely want to make the mac and cheese, asparagus, cheesy potatoes and that lemon dessert, I love anything lemony. The pork loin looks amazing too. Thanks Kimmy! Have a lovely week!
Consider adding grapes to ambrosia salad.
Great ideas! We’re doing a lemon meringue cheesecake for our Easter dessert!
You got me thinking with that lemon pocket cake. 🤔 Have you ever tried it with strawberry pie filling and strawberry frosting? That sounds yummy too.
Definitely trying the pork recipe,
I add cherries and pecans to my ambrosia salad. The cake looks amazing. I want to make with lemon and I think adding alittle coconut would be great. Ty kimmie.
I can't wait to try the lemon cake, I have everything in my pantry ♡
You should!
Yummy recipes. Have a great Easter🌍👍🌍🍀🌍🙏🌍😘🌍💯🌍😋🌍💃🌍🎉🌍
This was timely! Need to start making my Easter menu 🕊️ 🤍 No ham here, having a lamb roast. 🐑
I am going to do the asparagus and the lemon cake for Palm Sunday
Asparagus is definitely a go to in my house.
Hi Kimmy the meals look amazing, have you ever tried crossiants with ham, asperegus, and cheese melted in the microwave or oven they are so yummy. I may try the lemon cake it looks fab. xxx
I accidentally neighbors potatoes with ranch dip tasted pretty good
I top my Mac n cheese with bread crumbs, parm and paprika. I also use ziti pasta, American and cooper sharp cheese. Love ur platter that the spinach salad was in, can u give me the brand plz?
Hello Kimmy! These recipes all looked so good 😊. With my ambrosia, I use Cool Whip instead of sour cream. Which reminds me…I haven’t made it in years 🤔😂. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 💚🍀🎩
I like your website!
I was trying to figure out what to make for Easter, I have a pork tenderloin😃 Going to make your pork tenderloin, and some of the other sides. It’s just me and my husband, so will do smaller scale, but all looked yummy😃
This was an extensive video. That is a lot of work on your part (and editors). Thank you for going through the trouble!
Ambrosia needs maraschino cherries
Kimmie... I ❤ your channel! Your Awesome and Everything looked delicious as Always!!! I'm going to try your fruit salads Ooooh my Goodness Yumm❣️TFS xoxo
Thank you so much 🤗
❤❤❤
Ambrosia definitely need’s bananas! Yummy! Also, if I don’t have sour cream I will use mayonnaise.
Where do you purchase your bakeware? It's nice. I will definitely be trying the Pocket Lemon Cake.
Some of it is from Costco
The best ham ever is baked in ginger ale. Try it sometime.
Ooh that sounds good!!!
if you're not a lemon person, can you do cherry filling or blueberry filling??
Any filling would be yummy
Can I do the asparagus recipe with green beans ??
Absolutely
Hi Kimmy, your ambrosia is completely different to the NZ type. Ours has less fruit, bigger marshmallows, yoghurt and whipped cream, plus chocolate!
What kind of can opener is that?
Where can I find white American cheese that your mom uses? I can’t find it at the local Frys.😊
Walmart has it
I add a half package of coconut pudding and some cool whip along with the sour cream. Where is the pistachio recipe?
Pineapple casserole
I don't care for the taste of sour dough. I guess it's just one of those things you either love or you don't. Homemade bread of any kind will always be superior to anything you buy at the grocery store. ❤️
Sometimes we have ham otherwise we have steaks on the grill. ❤
That salad you made I try it before I don't like it. I don't eat coconut and sour cream i am allergic to milk products maybe i can try almond milk yogurt that different and no coconut....
The potatoes, I would have taken off the foil for the last 10 minutes of cooking for a brown top.
Where’s the lemon dessert recipe?
1st!!
If this is your latest video why are you in your old kitchen?
Awesome video & recipes!!! You are such a gem 💎 Kimmy!!! Ty for being genuine & honest!!! I really wanna try your pretzel salad & your greek spinach and tortellini salad!!! They look ah-mazing!!! Yummy 😋 A family fave i make is a spin on a coconut poke cake...except i toast the coconut for the top & i make a small box of either vanilla or coconut cream jello pudding with a cup and a half of milk and after you put your coconut cream & condensed milk mixture on the cooked cake (after poking holes) you spread pudding on top. Cool whip or homemade whip cream & top with toasted coconut...lord have mercy. Its delicious!!! Its what you get if tres Leche meets coconut cream cake & they had a baby!!! Lol!!! 😂 Happy Easter 🐰 y'all!!!
