If I recall Salusa Secundus was the first Corrino Empire Planet but there was a nuclear war which destroyed it so they moved the capitol and the ruined climate on Salusa Secundus slowly recovered enough to support humanity very roughly in some spots so a Corrino Emperor made it into a prison planet to train what became the Sarduakar
Not only were the Fremen not on Arrakis for 10K years but the episode 2 Corrino princess Inez referring to the sand worms as Shai-hulud is beyond laughable! The Empire was largely ignorant of Fremen, their numbers, culture, & religion except for the standard myth planting that the Bene Geserit did on scores of backwater planets to protect stranded Sisters, except as the extra help the Sisters did to protect Paul and Jessica since the BG knew things were going to go bad for Leto via Empero Shaddam & Baron Harkonnen. I haven't heard anyone mention this goof!
