I never thought of it until now, the gag of Vanitas being thrown through a door and then the door into another door was such a "Put that flea in a box, then I'll put that box inside of another box..." ahh moment.
His death was the perfect ending to his arc in my opinion. Ventus told him everyone chooses to be either good or evil and Vanitas straight up tells he chose to be evil. Zero redemption for him because that's exactly what he wanted. It's admirable, in its own way.
Well, his arc likely isn't actually finished yet. You can't just ignore the fact that Ventus was in Kingdom Hearts Union Cross. Add that game's context into the story, (which will only become more and more important in future games) and Vanitas is one of the True 13 Darkness beings, thus why he alone controlled enough dark energy to create an entire army of Unversed creatures controlled solely by himself. Ventus's own natural darkness alone would have never been potent enough to create such an army. Ventus absorbed the original Vanitas into himself in order to save his friends of that era from that particular True Darkness. (You can't destroy one of these 13 beings while they are formless) Vanitas still will likely die at the end of his arc because he will always want to be evil, but he's still got at least one more fight in him in the upcoming saga.
I wonder why Vanitas appeared for that line in DDD djanfnan Like,,,, does it have something to do with _him_ being a prisoner?? A prisoner to Xehanort or somethin'???
I’ve never played KH3 but I’ve watched the cutscenes but KH3 would’ve been soo much better if ventus lashed out with rage when he sees xehanort again instead of standing with the others which would them cause the 2 to go off and fight whilst the others stay back That would’ve been a cool moment. Like imagine around 46:50 xehanort finishes speaking and ventus charges straight for him with his armour on causing them to start fighting and go off whilst the others carry on with the cutscene.

Vanitas had no face before the creation of the X-Blade, he was pure Darkness. The mask breaks and reveals his face only after the blade is formed, meaning Ven has already entered Sora's heart.
Sora connected to Ventus and filled the void in his broken Heart, before we see how Vanitas looked like under the mask in the Keyblade Graveyard in BBS

“You’ve made your heart a prison ever if you are not the prisoner” is Vanitas referring to how Ven was being kept in Sora’s heart.
It is the Darkness of Xehanort interacting with The Darkness in Ventus in Sora.
