Kingdom Hearts Series - All Openings (2002-2019)
Celebrating 20 years of one of my favorite video games series! Here's all the openings from Kingdom Hearts to Kingdom Hearts III. These openings are native 30fps so to give the video a more unique and smoother playback I edited the footage with motion interpolation software. The goal is to produce a smoother 60fps playback. I hope you like it.

*When I make and edited compilation type video like this, I use all the video game content that is available at the time. If more content, such as DLC, is released in the future I’ll make an updated version. These types of videos involve playing the game to get certain scenes to play out, recording them and editing them. These videos are time consuming but fun to make.

I was in 5th grade when the first one came out. 29 hitting 30 this year and man, to this day I will never ever stop loving this game ESPECIALLY WHEN utada was just making BANGERS just for this game! I was on ha still am
I played this just as I was gearing up to leave home for the first time and go travelling. It was life defining. Talk about the perfect game at the perfect time in life
It’s amazing how the graphics have changed. And this series is one that really shows how much technology in the gaming industry has improved over the years.
The 0.2 version of simple and clean, i dunno why, it just destroy's me now even without watching the intro movie. And still has that effect to make me tear-up a bit even after all this time. I love it!
I personally don't like the techno music of KH. I always liked the orchestral and original songs, BUT 0.2's intro is one of my favorite intros. I think they nailed the song remix. At least to me.
Graphics? It's so big deal? I bet you know all story not really;) Story is important,all other things is nothing

It was the only Kingdom Hearts COMPLETELY written by Nomura. It was the best KH game. I hope we get a remake for newer consoles later down the road.

@@ReaperKris The story is what makes a game. I don't care if the gameplay is mid if I can enjoy the story. If you gave me a game with the most incredible gameplay but a very cryptic and confusing story I will hate it. Not to say I hate any of the Kingdom Hearts games. Plus it only had a good story because it was the only KH game that was actually written by Nomura alone.

All the "recap" ones I really like, because I absolutely love the Orchestral Instrumental versions... Simple & Clean, Sanctuary and Chikai orchestral sound so good.
Other than that, Dream Drop Distance's intro video is probably my favorite. I really like how they recreated KH1&KH2 scenes.
Seeing it on 3DS with the 3D effect and the two screens playing out both the cinematic and maestro Mickey reacting - sooooo good
Sanctuary is probably my favorite song in the whole Kingdom Hearts series especially the ending version. My first Kingdom Hearts game was 358/2 days. I had no idea what I got myself into other than knowing about the interactions with characters from the Disney cartoons and movies. I thought this game would end on a happy ending like most Disney romance movies, but I was completely wrong. Throughout the game, I was in Roxas' shoes. I simply went through the motions, but when the actual story came along, I was just as confused as Roxas was. When I finally got into the whole Kingdom Hearts franchise, everything finally made sense! Roxas to me is a character that hits close to home with me especially with his return in Kingdom Hearts III as it excited me. It was a long awaited reunion that I needed.
Duuuuuude, the emotions this series puts me through! 😭❤️ This was my childhood and to this day, an adult in my 30’s, that love hasn’t subsided.
Think we can get a compilation of the game endings like this? The credit scenes and/or the just-before credit scenes?

No one will talk about how many KH there is but how many years after we got sequel to KH2 (KH2 was released in 2005 on ps2 and KH3 was release in 2019 on ps4 quite a huge year gap but somehow we got so many other KH).

When I was a kid I was gifted this game for my birthday from my grandmother who also loved to play games. At the time I saw Micky and Goofy on the cover and dismissed the game for being too childish for me and so it sat on a shelf collecting dust for about a year before I got bored enough to play it. One late summer night when I couldn't sleep I put the disc in my PS2 and this intro began to play and it blew my mind at the time, it wasn't anything like I expected. My grandmother always knew what I would enjoy even before I did, over the years I learned never to doubt her again lol

they release games on different consoles all the time so I didnt really get to have the full experience (didnt help that I was a kid and that I relied on holidays to get games).
man bbs was my fave though, i think it was called mirage arena or something(?) played a bunch of multiplayer when i was in grade school.
I was so confused with some major jumps with no explanation like with organization 13 in kingdom hearts two and found out I was supposed to play the hand held game version of it with little cards and did not want to play that game and never will.
Tbh I loved rechain of memories the card system didn’t bother me

I'm divided between 358/2 days, Re-Coded and Dream Drop Distance. But if I'm honest I'll go with 358/2 days because it was my first Kingdom Hearts game and the fact that it tells the story of my favorite charater, Roxas.

I'm not gonna say that Simple & Clean is a bad Song, because it's really good, but Holy God, is it overplayed.
How many times is it used? No fewer than 6 times (I, Chain of Memories, Birth by Sleep, Re:Coded, Dream Drop Distance, and Fragmentary Passage (even if Dream Drop Distance and Fragmentary Passage use Variations of Simple & Clean (Orchestral Instrumental and a Remix of what's already a Remix respectively) I'd still argue that they're Variations of that Highly Overplayed Song). I don't remember if Melody of Memory used it or not, but I'll likely find out soon enough).
Meanwhile, how often is Sanctuary ever used? 2 (II and 358/2 Days). That's pitiful. Oh, and while I'm at it, whether or not this may come off as a Hot Take, in my Opinion, Sanctuary was way better than Simple & Clean. If you guys disagree, that's okay. I'm just sick and tired of hearing Simple & Clean getting used over and over again.
Either give Sanctuary another shot at being an Opening, or better yet, how about making Original Songs for your Spinoff Titles, Square!

Maybe I just wanted Sanctuary to get a little more love. That's all. After all, it's not as though you won't be hearing from Simple & Clean anytime soon. Not counting DDD or Fragmentary, you get to hear it at least 4 times. And even then, Fragmentary Passage still uses a Remix of the Simple & Clean Remix used in the Kingdom Hearts Openings.
Again, I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes here. You're within your right to say that Simple & Clean is the Best KH Opening, and can listen to it as much as you want to. I just wish Sanctuary was given a little more love. That's all.
