1 mana 2/2 cheat 1 mana. I guess it would take minions that powerful for Blizzard’s mage to consider such primitive board interaction.
Hard to compete when warrior has a 2 mana cheat 4 mana.
Its going to be in every mage deck. It's a simple but big benefit. Regardless of the card it reduces
The perfect honorable kill fodder.
@@freezingcicada6852 3 mana cheat 15 now
Now that I've seen all the cards. I think this is gonna be the rating video where he gives the highest percentage of 1 star ratings ever.
*I just unpacked a golden Moorabi, let's go build a freeze shaman deck* said no one ever.
10:53 nice save jens!
“Felfire in your hole” is a great way to describe Taco Bell
Just spilled my drink when I heard that and saw the changed name on the card
You mean "Felfire in your hole!"
Juicy psycho melon: IT'S A SPRINT THAT TUTORS!
Arcane Brilliance: Yeah meh... it's good but you probably ded.
~I know I know the meta is super different and all, but it's a better card that didn't have all that lore and presentantion, it's funny...
The big issue with Arcane Brilliance is that it kind of ruins big spell synergy since it can pop up instead of your intended big spell
Clearly demonstrates that people have learned from Psychmelon not being particularly good.
Plus, Arcane Brilliance doesn't have the ramp stuff that goes with Psychmelon. (Sure, there's big spell cheat effects; but I don't think those will work too great either.)
@@Quargos what? Psychmelon literally broke the wild format when it was released.
Trump's outlandish incredulity at the face of a better sprint that tutors is still one of my favourite moments of him
@@amethonys2798 no one cares about wild bro fu out of here
Hey Trump, Just wanted to share my appreciation for you continuing to do these card reviews even though Hearthstone is past its prime. I don't really play anymore, but I still love watching these videos. Its the last bastion of good Hearthstone content, save maybe Trolden.
Anyway, Thank you sir!
EDIT: Just to clarify, I had no intent to suggest that Hearthstone is now a bad game or that anyone should be ashamed to still play it. All I was getting at is that there used to be a huge number of HS content creators that would put out reviews and that number has significantly dwindled. I'm just very happy that Trump still carries the flag despite the community being smaller than it used to be. Love to all of my TCG nerd friends :)
I’m sure he as well as many others still have passion for hearthstone and I’m sure it will come back better. It’s just united in stormwind expansion in particular was just that unbearable I believe. I haven’t been playing much myself rather i been watching creators, I like Regis and zeddy a lot now but Trump has always been my favorite
Chump is a good one too, if you didn't know about him.
Or if you did and don't like him, that's fair
@@colewedell6089 I came back for Stormwind specifically because I found the questlines so awesome
@@vikbys Chump and Trump are my only Hearthstone consumptions : ) Which does make it a bit hard to keep up with the meta decks but that's ok
A games prime come around several times in its life time. But I appreciate your terrible input.
I would be a lot more excited for... basically any of these cards if Stormwind was never printed.
looking forward tp Trump going "ONE STAR!" for 30 minutes straight.
"felfire in your hole" you might want to see a doctor about that
The production quality of these videos are simply a cut above the rest
Trump, consider combining Gankster with Ramming Mount in Hunter. Whenever your opponent plays a minion, an immune 6 attack minion will instantly attack it. Without spells, this has the potential to completely shut down opposing minion-based decks.
Well that's a nerf-able offense
EXACTLYYY
Doesn't the minion lose stealth after it attacks for the first time? Still looks like a great combo though
@@MorizonPlays it is, but it still attack though
Current meta doesnt really allow this card to shine though.
A 1 mana 2/2 with an insane effect, bro the powercreep, in old days raven a vanilla 2/2 was one of the best cards in the game
We gonna get a 1 mana 3/3 vanilla legendary soon. Mark my words. Lol
At what point was the druid 1 mana 2/2 ever close to being even considered for the best card in the game?
@@CaymenLeP That reduces cards in your hand by 1 and is an amalgam with every minion type
@@ruukinen when Mark of yasharagg made it a 4/4 on t2 and drew you a card
@@drgcneg2602 Yeah that deck was pretty garbage back then. Just watch for example 'Trump reviews Trump reviews one night in Karazhan'. It's hard to find hard data from back then but I remember the deck being garbage and at least that video confirms my memory to be true.
What if Iceblood tower casts another one of itself? Will you get 2 a turn, or is it just overriding itself - this makes a HUGE difference with that deck I'd say
Well, the card does say *another* spell from your deck, so it may be possible that it can't cast a second copy of Iceblood tower
It can't cast itself.
Even if it did, the way minions with end of turn effects interact suggests that it'd summon another and it would start timing out next turn
Probably
They don’t even have to deal with that mechanical issue anyway if no one is able to gain enough mana ;)
@@gkygrek big brain time
One thing about Trogg is that if you play librams on it then I think you would get extra librams back in hand since the copy should have the deathrattle as well.
I'm putting trogg in my heal/buffadin deck to counter fucking mage.
"After YOUR OPPONENT casts a spell, summon a copy of this."
Going to be so fun with face hunter, make it 2/3 on turn 1, doggie biscuit turn 2.. if your lucky ramming mount turn 3, it has enough health to survive most early game removal, and prevent them from playing any spells
@@R_A_Z_I_E_L "After your opponent casts a spell SUMMON A COPY of this"
Theyre saying that if you cast a bunch of librams on the trogg, and the opponent casts a spell, the copied trogg will still have the Librams, effectively doubling them
That’s cool and all but pirate warrior
Fellfire in Your Hole sounds like a totally different type of game.
I knew I should've skipped enchilada night in Outland...
1 mana 1/1 rush cards will increase in value if honorable kill cards prove good enough in meta.
06:55 Hey, Double Agent made it into Hearthstone! He's the character who leveled to max without leaving the Pandaren starting zone. Therefore, he never joined Horde or Alliance.
Finally some 1 hour long trump arena videos again
If you play Trogg on 1 against a quest deck its always a 1 mana 2/4
That's where I'm seeing it. People said peasant would be unplayable because "lul just coin hero power" yet it is seen in literally every token deck because playing it on turn 1 is such a disruptive play.
This card has even LESS outs because it has 2 health. You play it against warrior they HAVE to tempo a 1 mana pirate if they have it or pass turn (both are good for you). Mage has first flame or they pass turn and hopefully have arcane orb. Warlock....just passes turn and either has drain soul or the 2 mana deal 6. Both are INSANE for you because they either don't get a heal off the drain soul or they hit themselves for 4 without the quest active while also losing out on tap on 2.
That flavor text was hilarious
Wow that flavor text *was* amazing
gotta love the double agent reference from wow
This is my Christmas present
Honorable kill truly feels like a new Inspire, too slow, too unlikely
It feels like the new overkill. Unlikely to see use.
the problem with inspire and overkill were that the cards were incredibly understated and slow on top of that. Most Honorable Kill cards on the other hands don't have that Issue.
@@Suchti0352
On the other hand, inspire can be done every time if you want. You cant necessarily pull off an honourable.
Overkill is also easier
@@alexina4567 What I wanted to say is that it's not the keywords that sucked, but the cards.
An important thing to note here is also that overkill rewards you for wasting damage, while honorable kill does not.
It will be interesting to see how easy/difficult it is to pull off an HK in real games.
I'm still ot exactly sure how it works, do you have to do dmg equal to the units full health in one attack to get the HK? or can you say attack a 5 health minion with one minion doing 3 and then the other doing exactly 2?
If you can do the dmg in multiple chunks then pings and 1/1s are going to become very useful to line up your HKs.
Wild freeze Shaman, Moorabi's time to shine has come!
i think what especially makes tower seargent look bad is if you compare it to travelling merchant which is 1 mana less, has tradeable, gets a bonus even if you only have 1 other minion, and gets a bigger bonus if you have more than 2.
wriggling horror also!
Unless they move the quests for: Mage,Warlock,Warrior and Hunter to wild and also nerf the latter I dont see us oggling at a lot of hot minion on minion action
With freeze shaman.. is that elemental that makes it so your minions can't be frozen still in standard?
hey guys, remember we had to take out inner fire and charge and freeze cards because of "limit design space"? yeah me neither, lets bring them BAAAAAAACKKK
10:52 Nice idea Trump, but(t) I'd rather not have felfire in my hole. Thanks.
Kinda wait to see if Freeze Shaman will be good, also it seems that a new, or some new aggro decks will be created... but I still think quests are kinda too powerful and the meta will still revolve around them... so pretty much anything that has minions will be kinda meh...
When the Age of Empires card reveals?
The Troll Centurion might be part of some cool combo. If you get one of those 1/1 for 1 mana versions of it, then it still deals 8 damage to the face.
I just can't see it right now
Two words: Proving Grounds.
Unless the honorable kill doesn't trigger if the minion dies.
Did Trump miss the new hunter beast? Stormpike Battle Ram? I can't find it in this video and it was also revealed in the card dump :D
I did miss it
It's quite good
Not only Arena is going to be great, but there are some interesting cards for wild as well!
I think ice revenant could work in some kind of frost elemental shaman, multiple ways to get copies of windchill that easily procs its effect.
Yeah, I thought that, particularly as there are ways to reduce the cost of elementals, dropping a 3 cost Ice Rev on T5 with a couple of Windchills seems eminently doable and would be very threatening, very few decks run hard removal so a 8/9 on T5 with your board frozen would be scary.(Battlemaster or more freeze spells on T6, for a LOT of face pounding!)
I don't think of 'To The Front!' as a combo deck card because well...it's a warrior card. I think it's value will be more in Quest Warriors who want to dump all their 3 mana pirates on one turn. So get to like turn 5, play one 'To The Front!' and then play two Defias Cannoneers and a Cargo Guard. And then swing with your leftover weapon from your Sword Eater from the turn prior so that your Cannoneers can fire 4 - 2 damage shots.
That is where the power of 'To The Front!' lays.
Do quest pirate warrior has 4 cards in hand on turn 5 really? They usually has only about 3 cards, 4 with weapon they draw because the quest. Very unlikely to have exactly all that cards.
It's for combo deck very likely.
Looks interesting. I doubt the set will make too much of an impact with out a nerf to existing decks
Yeah, super strong release tbh. Just won't matter due to current cards.
so what happens when you phylactery a korrak onto your small minions?...
Warlock and Warrior quests beat any decks you could come up with in this next expansion.
Sleetbreaker is insaaane holy shit im not holding my breath fir freeze shaman but I'm glad they're giving it a chance 😂
Great flavor text lmao
2:50 - it’s a cheaper Sprint… that tutors?!
OH baby the BIG ONE
20:38 Perfekt definition of this expansion
No thats Stormwind.
Some of these cards are crazy strong. Pity the meta is what it is. Bring on next year
The fact that there`s more than 1 mana 2/2 with upside in this game now shows that they give no shits about balance.
That isn't how balance works. Games improve and increase their power level over time, do you also have an issue with a tribal tag Chillwind Yeti with upside? Yeah of course not because that's stupid. A 2 mana 2/2 with no text was a solid minion in Magic for a while, doesn't mean the balance is shot because that isn't the case anymore.
@@SomersBugtopia I personally think there should be limits that should be kept in place and for me a one drop with 2/2 and an upside is beyond that limit.
@@thedarkweeb1253 But why? Why there? We have every corner of the game being stronger than it was before.
Also to be clear on this Enchanted Raven was a 2 mana 2/2 with upside; its tribe. Things are meta dependant and the game grows in power.
@@SomersBugtopia I'm not a fan of everything getting stronger each expasion
First it's pay to win because you actually have an advantage when you spend money on an expansion
Second if cards only get stronger that's at least in my opinion not substanial I personally think it doesn't make sense if you develope a game that power creeps constantly
When dragons came out I thought this is going to be the zendikar of hearthstone. The expansion were they try to see how far they can go.
This is just my opinion but I think the last expansion was not a lot of fun. This whole time 90% of the matches I played were either against quest or aggro decks and I don't want to play another expansion were I see the class my opponent is playing and immediatly know 90 % of his deck because I've been playing against the same fucking shit for a month now. Such strong cards don't encourage deck building they narrow your choice down. Why wouldn't you play a 1 mana 2/2. It alsmost always trades up. Thats 2 deck slots in mage and warrior that will be the same no matter which deck I play against.
Edit: Sorry that I keep rambling on but another problem is that the strenght of one drops influences all cards that cost more than one. If they get to strong every other card has to get stronger too. Thats why I think they should have limits. always making cards stronger is in my opinion not a sound and sustainable design philisopy.
The card sees zero play
I was really hoping for [Horde] and [Alliance] tribe tags to be added this expansion
Does honorable kill go off if the minion dies?
Remember that you can have cards like scorpid and pandaren importer to generate cards from another class while you're maestra'd.
And so the Calvary Horn was sounded and the procession marched on...
All jokes aside Moorabi was my first golden legendary
Hope you haven’t disenchanted him yet! It’s finally his time to shine ✨
Maestra of Masquerade in thief rogue, with wandmaker and scorpid and more spell generation, could be really strong
Could you do that Owl combo with the imps with korrak and have a board full of almost unkillable korraks?
U madlad saw the future
@@reeson I am the future
Mocks the owl OTK idea and then proceeds to die to it in one of his playthrough videos lol.
What about True Silver Champion?
“Stonehearth vindicator is tricky because a lot of paladin spells are reactive”
.. what? 😭
He forgot the buff spell
I'm actually really hype for this arena meta
I'm not, arena is going to be unplayable. Way too many snowball and ultra premiums or game winning swing cards.
If Paladin plays either of their new 8 drops then arena is over, good luck ever winning from there.
10:30 maybe I'm wrong but isn't this card obviously pronounced glacier?
I’m thinking korrak and Lilian could be the two deathrattles in an aggro stealth rogue
20:38
You thought one of the priest quests was dumb, too, back in the day... then it rekt your face. lul
“Resummon Korak” vs “Summon Korak” … I read cards w my pen & paper AD&D rules-lawyer hat on. I suspect Korak would do nothing w that card that triggers deathrattle. I am not a rules lawyer. Think it counters fun. 🙂
Confirmed works
Trogg is going to be so fucking fun for face hunter, I can already see it popping out 4 or them on turn 3 with doggie biscuit hahahaha
Why is Honorable Kill hard to get? seems like it be easier and more effective to go for then the OverKill we had in the past which would waste damage.
As someone who hasn't played Standard in a long time take my reply with a pinch of salt but:
(1) More effective perhaps, but easier likely no, certainly for higher attack value cards. A card with 4 attack for example triggers Overkill on anything ≤ 3 (1, 2 or 3) but Honourable Kill on only exactly 4
(2) And likely much more relevantly, Trump keeps mentioning a lot of decks not playing minions. Any ability that relies on killing enemy minions is going to be heavily meta-dependent in usefulness and if Overkill was good it was likely just better placed
harder to trigger -> less snowbally -> can print more powerfull effects with the keyword
Why doesn't Full Blown Evil have echo? Is echo only for creatures and I never noticed ???
Blizzard doesn't reuse keywords from prior expansion cycles, echo was witchwood exclusive. See witches brew
"That... is not going to work!"
20:00 When a five year old tells me their life goals.
Inner Fire is crying
8:50 Funny thing is i just disenchanted my morabi no joke like a month ago now i am starting to get have regrets!
Quest warrior quest hunter evenlock ignite mage.
You made the right call dusting Moorabi.
Moorabi is just bad, no matter the support you get for it.
Honestly that 2 mana Quartermaster could do okay with Librams.
Glory Chaser is the most surprising card in this expansion for me. I didn't even know that there was a Hearthstone Championship this year.
Excellent!
4:27 If only there was a card you'd really wanna draw with this. Like... Conviction? *wink nudge*
I find it hard to see any of this really pushing out the current meta.- perhaps just adding new tools. It will take drastic action for something to actually change, and I don't know if Blizzard has enough sense to do something like hall of fame the quests and admit they were a mistake.
I mean, I thought they were pretty clear that cards with easy infinite value are not a good idea, but here we are with several heroes having nearly that level again.
Honestly, there is little I find interesting in this set at all. It feels like a fair amount of regurgitated ideas but made stronger because of power creep. Especially since this is supposed to be the whole "culmination" of the sets with Barrens and Stormwind. And outside a random cycle of characters we're supposed to care about, nothing is tying these things together.
Not every card game needs to be Magic, but it's worth noting how good they are at using mechanics and gameplay ideas to give a whole block of sets a unique and cohesive identity, which meant when blocks rotate, entire unique deck archetypes come and go. With Hearthstone a new archetype means an aggro deck that uses a different one mana minion in its open slots. It gets stale so fast, especially since they really only seem to have one or two identities for each class that they push at different times. Even as someone who tended to play Priest, it's hard to be excited to see them push Rez priest, because it's been very little time since it was gone, so it doesn't feel nostalgic or cool, just worn down and samey.
Will there be card rating?
Yes, but he's waiting for the preview event to get a hands-on opportunity with the cards first, then rating.
They either nerf all the quests or I'm not playing until they are out of rotation.
I don't even play ranked anymore. I just watch others do it and it's the same decks all the time with most of them running quests or hyper aggro. You either die in five turns or die in one turn ten turns later.
25:19
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Of I could make a card to stop all these no minion combo decks is make one that says, "if your opponent hasn't played a minion in the last 3 turns all their spells become minions of the same cost and all their minions become spells of the same cost.
If only the last two years of Hearthstone could be a bad dream.
Rating when?
going to see so many people shadow wording or fireballing korrak thinking it will keep him dead
Polymorph will be the only other way
It's a 4 mana Sprint that tutors...
YOO GANKSTER + RAMMING MOUNT?!?!?
Cool, that 1 mana 2/2 mage minion will be useful to discount Second Flame and immediately cast it on the minion itself to progress the quest and leave the board empty so that the opponent doesn't have targets for their own cards.
Yes I've played quite a bit of Quest Hunter vs Quest Mage, how could you tell?
23:29 I 100% agree on Trump. I honestly want to be proven wrong, I want a slower meta with less combo and aggro but right now I don't really have any hope for that
There won’t be a control meta until rotation because they printed that stupid priest questline that punishes anybody trying to win through value
@@simpletora7313 the priest quest isn’t the reason control doesn’t exist
@@Emperorhirohito19272 I never said it was? I said a control meta WONT exist because of priest questline. If the meta ever slows down to the point that control decks are dominate priest is going to dominate because they have a card that straight up lets them win if they can get to it.
@@simpletora7313 so does every other control deck, it’s just not as explicit. It’s been a long time since fatigue has been a real win condition. Mechathun says win the game too, so does uther hero. So? Doesn’t mean those decks auto won against another control deck

11:22 "Repeatable this turn" sounds a bit wordy. There should be a keyword for that
Arena runs where they at???
Handbuff paladin, drop a 5/6 version of the trogg and you just win against any spell-based deck
If they one-kill it with fireball it won't copy itself
think the honorable kill mechanic might be nice Lore wise, but is pretty useless in like 90% of the time
I kinda fear you are right with the words you said in the end of the video, because if its true, we would get a meta I wouldnt like.
Do an arena review only
Would be realy cool for us Arena enjoyers

I cannot BELIEVE you just slept on reflecto engineer. This entire pack has been nothing but low attack high health and you dismiss the #1 aggro enabler right after reviewing a 1 mana 2/6
6:30 cough voidtouched apprentice cough
Jesus...I hate the idea of Full-Blown Evil simply because I've been facing off against like 40% warlocks in standard ranked currently. In one game, I was playing one of those aggro druid decks with the taunts and the Razormane Battleguard. Warlocks have so much removal right now that there was a match where from turn 3 all the way until they won on turn 10, I did not have a single minion survive until my next turn. I played, I think, about 18 minions in those 7 turns, and I mean some were small like those cubs from Adorable Infestation. And now they're going to have Full-Blown Evil on top of all the crazy amounts of removal they have currently.
Seriously, Blizzard better let us ban a class outright in ranked matches or...I mean hell, maybe I can pay someone to hack and DDOS every warlock player or something. Because this is getting ridiculous, and its only going to get worse.
You can't kid.
You are playing children card game and crying about it, you can't afford to pay a hacker.
Man I miss trump arena, I feel like this entire expansion was a bunch of good arena cards that just aren't good enough for combostone right now.
I don't understand why they're terrified of having echo as a keyword. Who gives a shit if it was a sets identity, having an identical effect in multiple sets after it but wording it 'repeatable this turn' just seems dumb. And if the argument is 'but... we want people to understand what they're doing. Otherwise it alienates new players' Bullshit in a digital setting, you can just mouse over any card and it explains it. Which is what you have to do anyway for any new keywords that come up
I feel like rogue got shiv'ed in the back....
